Too many good races to call, but your enthusiasm is to be commended...as usual the AC comes down to Australia vs NZ vs the UK in terms of skippers....this has turned into a spectacular event so far, the Spanish should be proud.
Best race so far. Shout out to the ground crew and race committee, the management and the broadcast, camera work especially is outstanding. Credit due where credit is earned.
Not tacking in front of AM when they had the advantage in the last leg (around 25:50 ) had been an incredible mistake by Ineos. WTF were they thinking?
@@RockyPlays It's match race 101. If you separate when you only have few meters advantage, there is the possibility the other will find a better wind than you, so you are giving him a chance to win. If you keep on staying in front of him, not only you have the same wind, but you are also blocking him physically.
Yep, BIG mistake. I was waiting for them slam on top of AM but then the coms gave it away & also the race. But to think AM were over 300 meters ahead at one stage & the British pulled it back only to stuff it at the end. It is match racing after all.
Totally agree - Glenn is a real master of these boats’ rigs. Be very surprised if TNZ succeed without him trimming this time around. Their loss, our benefit as spectators.
I really don't like to watch hockey, because I can't follow the puck, it is too fast. Sailing, they say it is too slow, but boy, my hart says quite the opposite. This is just great.
It seems like a long time ago that I posted a comment that the Americans have a fast boat but are running out of time to solve their little problem with catastrophic sailing mistakes.
Elder Ben failing to cover the Americans in the last leg, trying to find a wind only him have seen, and miserably lost the race. Time for retirement Ben.
Please display more stats, how hard can it be to show distance, SOG and VMG all the time. It would also be good to see windspeed / direction and barring for each boat but hay would like to push the boat out...
I’d rather see something like 5 second cyclor wattage rather than hydraulic pressure. It’s something we cyclists can relate to. These cyclors are putting out some insane wattages at various times and having to recover. 😅
I’m really loving Glens commentary. (the other commentators are great too)He brings to attention many things that are hard to notice while watching the races on tv.
Great race, went down to the he final couple of tacks. Guys no gloom and doom, there is a lot of racing to go. Everyone wants their team to win. But enjoy the racing Ineos overcame a large lead by American Magic. They almost won the race. A lead of 287 meters in the old 12 meters would have been insurmountable. In these rockets one bad thing ack and the other boat is in the he race. Hey this is great stuff, even the boat graphics are cool! Gots to enjoy this.
As usual, partial comments from the commentators whoever sails against INEOS. Am very happy AM won, they deserved it. Listening to the commentators, only the British team knows how to sail AC75…well AM proved them wrong.
The lady in particular NEVER says a thing positive about American Magic. Haha. If the Brits get to 100 meters behind AM, she's borderline saying the Brits have the race :P
Glenn is arguably a better skipper than either of those racing based on his AC record - he’s calling it pretty well. We could lose the anchor commentators though .
Anyone else wondering why the wind limit hasn't been raised? It's ridiculous with boats of this caliber being unable to actually sail/race through many parts of the 'course' on most of these days. A bare minimum of 6.5 knots constant across the whole course s/be required otherwise this whole event becomes a farce. 6.5 "average" isn't working for anyone.
To the commentators, please let us hear the crews more than you. It’s easy, just talk when you have something important to say. Please don’t describe what we can plainly see. Thanks
Somebody has to say the unsayable...Ben another masterclass in rubbish sailing...let Giles have a go...please...can you imagine the Kiwis losing from where INEOS were halfway down the last run??? and lets not talk about ANOTHER boundary penalty. Just awful
Not a sailor but watch all these races. The announcers continue to confuse and astound me. You had two HUGE “mistakes” on the final leg, one by US coming around the final turn, and the other by UK on the last leg. But nobody explained how they happened! One little comment about skidding at the final gate but what in hell did UK do on that last leg to lose it?!? Come on, people! Explain what’s happening! Is it freak wind gusts, skipper errors, or what? They just keep saying “great racing” and “it’s on,” well, we all know that, which is why we’re watching. These are freakish boats and require a lot of skill to understand how they work and how they affect sailing. But that’s why we are listening! Pull it out, please! Thanks… 😮

Another penalty for Ben spooky they didnt show the boundary to prove the penalty when it is shown all the other times. No surprise really we know they will do everything to put him down
