I'm very fortunate that I get to travel a lot for work - both within the UK and also overseas as well. Most of the time, I like to travel as light as possible, so that means one camera body, a few lenses and only the essential accessories.
My Lumix S5 has been to many countries with me now , and there's always the same lenses that end up in my travel camera bag, so in this video I wanted to talk about why my travel setup always stays quite similar, and why it's so important to prioritise when you're packing your camera equipment for travel.
Thanks for watching! Видеоклипы
You know man, i found your videos looking for review about the S5 since i was struggling between S5 and A7III. Obviously i chose the S5 and i'm more than happy with that choice, and since then i follow each one of your video, keep up the great work !
Ah thank you mate! Great choice 🙌🏼 glad you’re enjoying the camera, and really happy that these vids are helpful for you.
Appreciate the support ✌🏻
Excellent as always, Josh!
Thanks Michael :)
The bag point is SPOT ON! Travelling you want to look less obvious. Another one is to put black tape over the make and model as to look less obvious, especially if more expensive.
After months of researching and shopping around for bags, this video helped us settle on the Brevite. My gf made a video of all the crap we were able to fit in it! Great bag, great video - thanks dude!
Thanks dude - great solution for a bag in my opinion, it does it all!
Nice video Josh and love the channel dude. Also had the ninja v but now record with the blackmail video assist with matches perfectly with my BMPCC4K.
Awesome dude - lovely setup! Thanks for watching the videos mate, really appreciate it!
The BAG!!! 🔥
I use the Brevite camera bag as well! I’ve traveled the world with that bag. 😁
Ah awesome dude!
Love the content. I went in the opposite direction with my lenses I have the 28-70 sigma f2.8 and the 70-300 Panasonic.
Been trying to use my camera more and have a nice small set up.
Both incredible lenses mate! Love the 70-300, was a solid choice for my recent trip to SA 👌🏻
@@JoshCameron I have been trying to play with Vlog but I feel like I get a fairly noisy image, but not sure if im over analyzing mind you F5.6 and ISO 10,000 (middle 2 shots)

What a nice video. I would probably bring some more stuff with me. I can't just travel with two lenses ^^ and I can recommend the Lowepro 450 Backpack 😊✌️ I used it in Iceland and from now on a lot of times. I think I need to make also a Video about this topic ^^ you get a Shoutout because of the idea ^^
If you do make a video about this topic then let me know as I'd love to see it !
That bag is fit!! 👀
It is right?!
Great content, Josh! Keep it going.
Cheers Eduardo!
great travel kit mate! which va-nd-filter do you use or you recommend? cheers
You should try the sigma 16 to 28. Its a pair to the 28 to 70. F2.8 as well👍
I’d love to try it, may have to get hold of one soon :)
Maybe those two plus the 70-300 would be the ultimate combo
Hi josh. Just bought the s5 with the kit lens together with 50mm and 85mm due to your recommendations. Got em all for 200£ more than a new a7iii body only. Wanted to buy 2 bodies but holding for now just in case they announce/release a new body with pdaf.
Great choice, and amazing price you got it for I’m sure. They’re running amazing deals at the moment. If I didn’t already have too many cameras then I’d get another one 😂
Already excited to read the manuals at set it up when they arrive. Thank you for making great content. Hoping to learn more from you
How does the hollyland compare to the rode wireless go?
I've got the Rode videomic pro+ and also the filmmaker kit, which I'm starting to find bulky.
I really need a more compact wireless solution for audio
Sound wise they will be very similar as long as you get good quality lav mics. The SHURE MVL is a good choice for not too much money :)
Spot on video mate 👏 Got an S5 thanks to your videos. Has the Prograde v60 SD been fast enough for 4k? Some videos have failed to save to card with my Sandisk Extreme so need something faster. Or should I go for the V90
The write speed of the S5 maxes out at 200mb/s for video (25MB/s) so V60/v90 shouldn't give any advantage. UHS-ii cards only benefit photos and the buffer from my research
It should be just fine for 4K video recording, as R Carter said, the write speed maxes out at 200mb/s so you won't be hitting the max speed of the card :)
@@JoshCameron @rcarter1690 thanks for the reply. Just a small point but I think 250m/s is the read speed of the card, write speed is up to 130m/s according to the amazon link
Link for S5 cage? Thanks
Hi Josh,
I have watches several of your videos and especially the videos about Lumix s5. So thank you very much.
I have from that bought lumix s5 and more thank happy with it. Just a thing is that it makes a little sound while the camera is on like theres a harddisk drive rotating. Is this just normalt?
How loud is that sound exactly?
@@JoshCameron it's not very loud. But I can still hear it if I stretch my arm all the way with the camera. Imagine the sound of a harddisk drive like the old days, that's how it sound. I tried the a7 iii at a boutique the other day and that did not have a sound coming out why I thought it must be something known to Panasonic. I have to see and try the S5 at a boutique to check
hello sir can lumix s5 record mov file in s&q mode
Unfortunately not, I don't think so anyways - it's quite limited really!
What happened to the tascam on the thumbnail 😅
It's my normal choice for audio recorder that sadly doesn't make it on most of my travels - I just needed some more cool looking gear for the thumbnail!😂
what VND do u use? the link in the description is a fixed ND filter not the VND
Ah is it? My bad , will change that asap! - I use the Tide Optics Pro VND - I think it’s ND2 to ND32 🙌🏼
hi, one question. is your camera bag regular size or large size? do you think regular is enough space?
I think it's the regular size :)
@@JoshCameron thank you!
The sad mix lmaooooo😅if I ever leave anything I swear
hahaha dude it's heartbreaking !
Is one battery enough for the whole day?
I only use two batteries with the S5 and they last me the entire day of shooting - If not, then I just put one on charge while I use the other :)
ho ware things?. like it~well ~ :)
