Just to note, you can increase the steering angle using the Steering Dual Rate adjustment on the transmitter. Mine was set to the default 100%, but you can increase it to 120% to reach the claimed 45degrees.
Additional information, remove the shock absorber drain out the silicon oil and move the shaft in and out noticing the stiffness of the shaft. Unscrew the shaft side plastic end cap and move the shaft in and out again, you should notice how much easier the shaft is to move. This is what makes the car bobble instead of absorbing the rough terrain if the dampers are working correctly.
No problem at all, hope the review helped. The only issue we've had with it since owning it, was the drive shaft came loose, got a video on my channel on how to fix it. 👍 If you get one, I'd definitely recommend upgrading the tyres. Got a few running videos of it on the channel too with upgraded tyres, if you want to see what it's like. Just look in the Crawling & Trailing playlist or the Group Trail & Crawl playlist. 👍 Any more questions let me know. 👍
This truck is surprisingly great, a site had them for 100$ limited supply I bought 3 great truck, and the steering adjust it on the controller has much more angle then that
Good unboxing! Took mine out the other day for the first time. I drove it on rocks and froozen mud and I must say the stock tires performed fantastic, the grip was almost unreal! I just wish they where a bit smaller. There is quite a lot of body rub, and I like my cars low...
Thanks very much. That's really interesting, good to get another perspective on the tyres too. Yeah there is a lot of body rub, especially on the rear. For the money it's a great little rig, with it being so light I think it could be very capable with minimal mods. 👍
@@DoURC I bought one of these a month ago. I love it, I didn't run the factory tyres at forst because of the bad reviews they received. I ran the outback 2 tyres. However. I ordered some metal 110g beadlocks. Ended up fitting the standard tyres on them and I have to say, they're incredibly capable, I was surprised to say the least. It's performs incredibly with the heavy wheels now, love this little crawler
@@grimrichie1993 Glad you're enjoying it. It is a great little crawler, especially for the money. 👍 We do a lot of crawling in mud and wet conditions and I found the stock tyres just didn't have the grip. Glad they're working for you though. 👍😎
Thanks very much, really appreciate the positive feedback and glad you enjoyed the video. I'm going to do another video on it soon trying out a different wheel and tyre combo so people can see the difference they make. 👍 Hope you enjoy yours when it arrives. 👍😎
Hi there, I have just bought a Paso 3 and done a complete strip down before using it. I found a problem with the shock absorbers on the crawler. Watching videos of the car from yours and others I noticed that the car seems to bobble instead of the shocks working, thinking the damper oils were to heavy I examined the dampers and found the the shock shaft is stiff to move because the damper end cap is crushing the two rings on to the shaft and causing it to be very stiff to move, I modified the inside of the end cap so the shaft moves freely without binding. Assembly of the car with 400 CST oil in the dampers has transformed the way it runs across the ground so the suspension is working properly so the car is floating across the rough terrain.
I'd check the manual, but believe it can only take a Nimh or 2S lipo. Your main issue will be the size of the battery tray. You'll get longer run times on a lipo, so you don't need a massive one. I would start by seeing how big physically the lipo could be, then go from there. I always use hard pack lipos, but they're generally bigger than soft packs. On my FTX Hi-Rock a 6200mah 2s lipo gives me hours of runtime, but it's much bigger than the little 1500mah nimh you get with the FTX Paso. Hope that helps. 👍
I watched your video of the TRX4 on the same obstical both climbed the bank, the £400 difference was not noticeable, can you do a edit video of the TRX 4 and the Paso 3 on the bank, be very interesting for your viewers.
Yeah, to be fair with enough wheel speed anything will get up there. Even my £140 Tamiya CC01 got up there. 👍 I'd say the difference in price is reflected in other areas, but the little FTX Paso is a great little rig. I did another video of it on beadlocks and Proline tyres and it's soooo much better. 👍 I've got group running videos on my channel of the Paso, TRX4, TRX6 and Redcat Gen8 and for trail running the Paso keeps up fine with better tyres and increased ground clearance. 👍 Thanks for your comment. 👍
Yeah it's still going strong. If you check out the other videos with it in on our channel, you'll see its had some good tests...meaning lots of mud and water! 🤣😬
Upgrading tyres is always a good idea, not many RTR's come with good tyres. This was obviously an out of the box review though, so what it's like box stock. 😉👍

Thanks for recommending these to me the other day. Didn't realise you'd done a video on them . Great review 👏, I'm very tempted after this.

Great video. Many thanks for sharing. My only question is... Where did you get the Jurassic Park stickers.? Thanks 🙂
Thanks very much. I got them on ebay, just search for 1/10 scale Jurassic Park stickers. They were only £10. 👍
@@DoURC - Thanks again. Much appreciated. 😊
I'm probably going to make inner fenders for it
It's probably a good idea. You could always see if ones off another rc would fit, like off a trx4 or something. 👍

what spec lipo battery could you put in ? i’m new to RC so not sure what to swap the battery for
