I have been searching for a transfer video like this . Not the ones where they show you how to spend time during a transfer. I am going to melbourne from yangon in july and i have to transit at either survarnabhumi or changi airport. This video surely highlights the importance of getting to the gate on timr. Thank you

That's insane!! I'm flying from Brisbane to Stockholm next month with an almost 5 hr stop in Bangkok, never been overseas before and Bangkok airport is notoriously confusing so I'm watching videos to make me a little less nervous. After watching this video I'm more nervous than ever haha but so thankful now to have 5 hours there. Probably need it just to find my way around..

Brayan Bravo Hello :) no nothing like that. I don't think you need a visa at most, if not all, airports if you're only stopping there to catch a connecting flight.

What is important is that travelers can see from this video that the walk to their connection flight can be rather far, so it is important to make there way to their departure gate as quickly as possible (particularly if there is not a lot of time between the flights). Mara is a saint, always carrying the bags or pushing the trolley. I will be arriving in Survanabhmi on Saturday on an emirates flight and the distance to imigration is huge. The walk does not feel as long as it is but yes, it can be quite stressful when you approach the long line before security and do not have much time before flights. That said, we have always been on time for all our flights at this airport despite experiencing some long lines at security :-D
Informativ video. Looks like you need some time to come from point to point. Very crowded at the security checks but almost empty in the terminals. Liked!
It can be quite confusing when connect to international flight at gate A or B because gate A and B is normally for Domestic flights but at night after all Domestic flghts departed gate A and B will turn to international gate, since these gates is not normal int. gate, so most signs in International area will not point the direction to gate A and B, most signs just point direction to gate C-G since its a normal international gates.

Great programme but an absolutely horrendous transfer. I have been to BKK many times but thankfully always left the airport and stayed in Bangkok. I have then later caught a flight from BKK to another part of Thailand. I don't think I could cope with the transfer like you both did. Well done.

That said, as I (Maxi) mention in the video, people with walking disabilities should definitely organise an airport shuttle (airport golf cart) to pick them up at the plane and drive them from gate to gate. Hi Maxi, thought I'd give you an update. I looked around a bit and it seems paying for a golf cart is not cheap. One I found was 1600 Baht or $48, kind of a lot for a 5 minute ride. I paid $5 more than that for a flight from BKK to Cambodia. haha I am waiting to hear back from Thai Airways, to see if they will provide one. Cheers.

Apologies if this has been asked before but how long did it take to pass security check from the moment you joined the line until you were able to proceed to your connecting flight/gate? The terminal in Suvarnabhumi airport is so big even though I'm Thai. It's a big airport. It's good I like it and I like your clips too. (Su-Van-Na-Phum) That's the way how to pronounce. Haha

Hello, first off all, REALLY nice videos. I have been watching them a lot because it’s the first time that I’m going to take a connecting flight alone and i am really nervous :(. If you don’t mind, I have some questions .. So I suppose you arrived at terminal 2 (where the arrivals are) and went to terminal 4 (for the departures) - is this the moment where you took the escalators to go through security control ? We always walk fast without stopping and the time between flights has been similar to yours but we have made it, sometimes boarding has already begun when we get to the gate. Great video. The only thing (and it's nothing to do with you) but it really ticks me off to see how many people walk around with their heads up their asses in airports. They don't pay attention and then block walkways. It's unbelievable. It amazes me how that these idiots can even dress themselves. But I love the video. I'm travelling via BKK to Seoul later this year and this gives me a great perspective on where you have to go.

Hi there Filzah, thanks for watching our Bangkok Airport Transfer video. When we transfer at this airport we have often had a similar transfer time as you, and have made it to the next flight. What one needs to consider is, what are the consequences if you miss your connection flight owing to a delayed flight etc. (Your flight into Bangkok could be delayed...). We always contact the airline directly and ask what will happen if we miss our connection flight owing to a late arrival. As Regards connection time between flights, if you are in doubt, contact the airline or your travel agency. Hope this information helps. A far as we can remember it took at least 15 minutes (minimum) before we could go up the elevator. The line was long and when we made it up the escalator we again had to stand in line before security but that when very much quicker (A few minutes). Thanks for watching and commenting.
I see at 17.46 there are signs saying “transfer courier” but they are of “east” and “west”. How do you know whether you belong to the east or west one? I’m heading overseas in a few weeks and having my transfer flight at Bangkok, so I’m worried that I might go a wrong way which will be troublesome since my transit period is only 1hr+

It is long but not difficult to do, thanks to the many travelators you ride on. What is important is that people see how long the walk can take, so that they know beforehand to get to their next departure gate without stopping too much along the way. Traveller - Flight Reviews & Travel Videos If I'm not mistaken, I read that it's something to do with cost saving and complexity of multiple people mover lines. There will be a new people mover to connect satellite. concourse to the main terminal. I suppose it might have added too much cost and complexity for the intersecting lines so they dropped the cross line and leave only the satellite line. I'll try to find out if my perception is correct or not. I've watched many of your videos. I've subscribed to your channel. I like the way you present things. Not too fantasy, but not boring. Suvarnabhumi airport is too big. It should have been split up into at least three terminals. My first experience was two years ago. I did a lot of walking while waiting for my flight to Singapore.

cHemon Spot on , I don’t know why they spell it the way they do , as “v” doesn’t exist in the Thai language, written or spoken and the second syllable is “ ann “ not “arn “ , so your version is totally correct.
C'mon, at Frankfurt main I walk more than one kilometre for transfer and no mini train, just walk on the escalator the same. Anyhow, mini train from terminal A to terminal B will be start service by next year.

I have been searching for a transfer video like this . Not the ones where they show you how to spend time during a transfer. I am going to melbourne from yangon in july and i have to transit at either survarnabhumi or changi airport. This video surely highlights the importance of getting to the gate on timr. Thank you

That's insane!! I'm flying from Brisbane to Stockholm next month with an almost 5 hr stop in Bangkok, never been overseas before and Bangkok airport is notoriously confusing so I'm watching videos to make me a little less nervous. Brayan Bravo Hello :) no nothing like that. I don't think you need a visa at most, if not all, airports if you're only stopping there to catch a connecting flight.

What is important is that travelers can see from this video that the walk to their connection flight can be rather far, so it is important to make there way to their departure gate as quickly as possible (particularly if there is not a lot of time between the flights). Mara is a saint, always carrying the bags or pushing the trolley. I will be arriving in Survanabhmi on Saturday on an emirates flight and the distance to imigration is huge. I'm glad you made this vlog, it has really got me excited about my upcoming holiday..

A very long walk and a little stress when you see the queue before security 🤔😊
The walk does not feel as long as it is but yes, it can be quite stressful when you approach the long line before security and do not have much time before flights. That said, we have always been on time for all our flights at this airport despite experiencing some long lines at security :-D
Informativ video. Looks like you need some time to come from point to point. Very crowded at the security checks but almost empty in the terminals. Liked!
One definitely needs time to get from gate to gate, so if time between the two flights one must walk quickly! Thanks for watching and commenting.
It can be quite confusing when connect to international flight at gate A or B
because gate A and B is normally for Domestic flights but at night after all Domestic flghts departed
gate A and B will turn to international gate, since these gates is not normal int. gate, so most signs in International area
will not point the direction to gate A and B, most signs just point direction to gate C-G since its a normal international gates.

Great programme but an absolutely horrendous transfer. I have been to BKK many times but thankfully always left the airport and stayed in Bangkok. I have then later caught a flight from BKK to another part of Thailand. I don't think I could cope with the transfer like you both did. Well done.
HaHa, hi there harrytd50 and thanks for your comment. We always enjoy our visits to this airport and with the travelators the walk is not as long as it seems/is. That said, as I (Maxi) mention in the video, people with walking disabilities should definitely organise an airport shuttle (airport golf cart) to pick them up at the plane and drive them from gate to gate. Hi Maxi, thought I'd give you an update. I looked around a bit and it seems paying for a golf cart is not cheap. One I found was 1600 Baht or $48, kind of a lot for a 5 minute ride. I paid $5 more than that for a flight from BKK to Cambodia. haha I am waiting to hear back from Thai Airways, to see if they will provide one. Cheers.

Apologies if this has been asked before but how long did it take to pass security check from the moment you joined the line until you were able to proceed to your connecting flight/gate? The line was never ending and I'm worried that my connection is too tight.

The terminal in Suvarnabhumi airport is so big even though I'm Thai. It's a big airport. It's good I like it and I like your clips too. (Su-Van-Na-Phum) That's the way how to pronounce. Haha

Hi there DjB Chouhan. We passed through security for our flight to next flight to Copenhagen, Denmark. We do not recall having passed through immigration as we were not leaving the airport. Our flights were booked on the same ticket, so our luggage was transferred to our next flight. For a 100% accurate answer to your question we suggest that you contact your travel agency or airline. So I suppose you arrived at terminal 2 (where the arrivals are) and went to terminal 4 (for the departures) - is this the moment where you took the escalators to go through security control ?
Second question: if I understand correctly it’s good to follow the “TRANSIT SIGNS” the whole time untill security control?

We always walk fast without stopping and the time between flights has been similar to yours but we have made it, sometimes boarding has already begun when we get to the gate. Great video. The only thing (and it's nothing to do with you) but it really ticks me off to see how many people walk around with their heads up their asses in airports. They don't pay attention and then block walkways. It's unbelievable. It amazes me how that these idiots can even dress themselves. But I love the video. I'm travelling via BKK to Seoul later this year and this gives me a great perspective on where you have to go.

We can follow what you say and must admit that sometimes one can think GRRRRRR when you cannot pass a group of people blocking a Travelator etc. One should bare in mind however, many people are not seasoned travelers and do not know the "Rules of the Airport" (could be there first time) or are just tired and exhausted after a long flight. Hi there Filzah, thanks for watching our Bangkok Airport Transfer video. When we transfer at this airport we have often had a similar transfer time as you, and have made it to the next flight. What one needs to consider is, what are the consequences if you miss your connection flight owing to a delayed flight etc. (Your flight into Bangkok could be delayed...). We always contact the airline directly and ask what will happen if we miss our connection flight owing to a late arrival. As Regards connection time between flights, if you are in doubt, contact the airline or your travel agency. Hope this information helps. How long did the long queue take to go through security?
A far as we can remember it took at least 15 minutes (minimum) before we could go up the elevator. The line was long and when we made it up the escalator we again had to stand in line before security but that when very much quicker (A few minutes). Thanks for watching and commenting.
I see at 17.46 there are signs saying “transfer courier” but they are of “east” and “west”. How do you know whether you belong to the east or west one? I’m heading overseas in a few weeks and having my transfer flight at Bangkok, so I’m worried that I might go a wrong way which will be troublesome since my transit period is only 1hr+

It is long but not difficult to do, thanks to the many travelators you ride on. What is important is that people see how long the walk can take, so that they know beforehand to get to their next departure gate without stopping too much along the way. When you do an international transfer do u have to pass through immigration and security control?
Hi there Sarmi, we did an international transfer to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We did not pass through Immigration but did pass through security.

Traveller - Flight Reviews & Travel Videos If I'm not mistaken, I read that it's something to do with cost saving and complexity of multiple people mover lines. There will be a new people mover to connect satellite. concourse to the main terminal. I suppose it might have added too much cost and complexity for the intersecting lines so they dropped the cross line and leave only the satellite line.
I'll try to find out if my perception is correct or not.

Suvarnabhumi airport is too big. It should have been split up into at least three terminals. My first experience was two years ago. I did a lot of walking while waiting for my flight to Singapore.
It really is a huge airport indeed. On the positive side when one arrives from a many hour long-haul flight this connection does give ones legs a good stretch. Thanks for watching and for sharing your flight experiences. Best Regards from maxi and Maro.

cHemon Spot on , I don’t know why they spell it the way they do , as “v” doesn’t exist in the Thai language, written or spoken and the second syllable is “ ann “ not “arn “ , so your version is totally correct.
C'mon, at Frankfurt main I walk more than one kilometre for transfer and no mini train, just walk on the escalator the same.
Anyhow, mini train from terminal A to terminal B will be start service by next year.
