I wouldn’t say mentally illness as we are perpetuating the stereotype that people with mental illness are violent and dangerous. However he does seem to have developmental delays of some sort. It’s a shame in zim we don’t have systems in place that tackle early childhood interventions.

It is important the interviewer maintains his journalistic integrity despite how emotionally moving or disgusting the story is. Regardless of how he may feel personally, he still had to capture the story and extract information. But I agree with you, this perpetrator is a disgusting rapist and I am infuriated as well.

I will ever emphasize on this: 3 out of 4 African children have been abused in some way and it affects their adulthood negatively and/or positively, of the majority in prisons, their crime where conceived when they where still kids, all they did was to grow in it and personalise those crimes. It's so sad, this guy is but a branch of a tree in a forest of criminals.
