It’s a little bit funny. Actually I am not interested in cycling at all, but I like you and your entertaining way to explain things. So I’m watching videos about cycling now 😅
Thanks for sticking around 🤘
Thanks for being such a great guy! You really helped me a lot by sharing your knowledge. And even though I’m not that much into cycling videos like this one are quite interesting for me as well.
This is great, I don't have friends either! Great solution.
😅 Cheers!
That "need a friend" joke at 2 minutes with the B/W fade! LOL
I think you just sold me!
I'm also a cyclist in the Print Industry, field service in PrePress, so I started with Drum Scanners, now Platesetters...so much change.
This technology is AMAZING!
I’ve seen tons of One X2 reviews, but this is the first where a reviewer shared something their proud of unrelated to film and I love it, keep it up!
Thanks!
This is the content I was looking for🥰. Thank you so much for amazing video with great explanation!
Your video is one of the best I have seen about using the One X2. I'm an older guy and enjoy my riding and enjoy the options this camera offers. I'm not a video nerd but do have fun using the X2. Thanks for this excellent tips.
Thanks! I learned a lot about cameras. The detailed explanation was great. Keep it going.
I REALLY appreciate this breakdown of the multiple camera angle options and the guidance for a bike ride. I purchased two of these to put on bikers for the Five Boro Bike Tour in NYC this weekend and this saved me. Much appreciated. Liked and subbed.
I just bought insta360 a minutes ago, your video is the first one I watched. Thanks!
Amazing video, dude) you answer almost all my questions about this camera in 1 video)
Enjoyed the comparison views with 5 different mount locations. 😊 Found the Taisioner Super Clamp on one of your other videos, thanks!
hello, thank you for the nice video. Where can I find the attachment that you attach the selfie stick to your bike? Do you have the full name or link?
here ya go! ruclips.net/video/dZK6k-NpDJ4/видео.html
@@MitchBoyer I'm about to find out how much worse the bounce is by trying this with the Insta360 One R 🤣🤦♂
fr just binged your channel, you deserve WAY more subs. Keep up the great work.
Thanks dude, appreciate it!
Many useful info... thanks!
Nice breakdown. Glad Im not the only one who isn't crazy about the image quality.
Thank you for creating a video that answered all of my questions 👌🏻🍻
Glad to help!
The video quality at the highest level is awesome even when zooming to a certain extent...Play around with the settings it gets better..Great review👍🏾👍🏾
Do you edit on the phone or with the Desktop App and what export settings do you use? Thanks in advance for sharing ;)
Ff
Great video with good information love the dog photo. Many thanks.
Nice video! I was about to pull the trigger and get the One x2 for cycling etc, and will definetly get it after watching this!
It was good to see you thought the video was bumpy too. Enjoyed the review. Thanks for sharing.
think u very much for this video u answer alot of my questions
Great review, super helpful.
I just got my Insta360 ONE X2 in the mail yesterday and today was my first time trying it out while on a bike ride. I LOVE IT! Your video explained things really well and gave me the tips I was looking for.
I also have a few GoPros as well that I don't think I'll be able to part with either 😅
Thanks for the helpful video!
just got mine today!
Thank you for the translation for the non-nerds, really helped me decide if the camera is aligned with my intended purposes
Very thorough and informative review from a cyclist's perspective. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for awesome explanation Mitch. Just what I was looking for as other reviews didn't show me how to mount the camera for different angles. I was trying to decide between the One R and this one. Sure you've got the saddle bag by now. Cheers.
Great video man
Thanks for sharing! I'm thinking of getting one myself.
nice review bro. I just bought this online. can't wait to explore the possibilities when its arrived.
Greeting from Indonesia.
Really good video. I'm a cyclist and just purchased this thing. Your video saved me hours of experimentation and it's sincerely appreciated. Thank you.
thanks for the nice review
This was such a great video, im team go pro but you already knew that 😜
What brand clamp did you use to mount the pole to the bike?
here ya go! ruclips.net/video/dZK6k-NpDJ4/видео.html
@@MitchBoyer thanks
This was a great video, Mitch!
Thanks dude!
Giggled at the friends comment, great video pal really makes me want to give it a go.
I had the same issues with the front mount slipping but I started using the Small Rig and it’s been great! Easy to take on and off and you can easily transfer it to different parts of your bike to mount for a lot of those angles you were talking about!
Oh, I'll check it out, thanks!
Wow thanks for the tip!
Thank you for the video, pretty explanation
awesome review thanks
I saw an awesome Stealth ebike video a couple of days ago, done very well, and wondered how they did it ... thinking it would be something like this -- then this vid popped up in my newsfeed just now -- the perfect reveal! Thanks!
Amazing Insights
i love you videos mitch! im a new subscriber from philippines, a cyclist as a hobby lol, and a newbhie cyclist vlogger, i learned a lot about your videos and planning to buy x3 to upgrade my recording, thanks a bunch! Ride safe always man!
Thanks dude! Appreciate you 🙌
Nice review!!!
New to your channel and loved the video! In addition to the Insta360 content it was fun to see my hood! I live in Silver Lake, am a road cyclist and have the Insta360. Liked and subscribed. 👍🏼
I was torn between Go2 and One X2. After watching your video, I think I have made up my mine.. Great job!
Thanks for sharing bro.
First excellent Job. thank you for taking the time to give us excellent tips and how it really works in the field that is much appreciated, gopro is a killer in the hand but once we add t oteh bike there is a lot more then just setting up, and that takes a lot of time to find the best shots if asked. thanks again FISH
Impressed love u ...& Got one more subscriber
Super cool video!
Great info Mitch, well done! I've always had a GP, current model GP7 and have been considering the Insta360 camera. I look at the latest version, but decided if I already have my GP then why not just focus on the Insta360 One X2. I would use the camera mostly when cycling but the possibilities the camera provides beyond my GP7 would be great to have.
To carry tools and such, I use a small Pelican case (5x9x7-in. ?) mounted to my front rack. I can lock it and feel reasonably sure my tools aren't going to walk off while I go into the grocery store. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for finally explain it to me. Do you soon see an option for bike apps to use this technology to make better/higher up recorded videos for example FulGaz so its possible to see the view instead of just the top of the road fences? I saw some 360 in Rouvy last year but it felt like not ready yet.
Thumbs up on the video. I love me some bikes and action cameras (own a GoPro Max). You got a new subscriber.
Awesome shots! Now I want to go for a ride!
Go for it! 🎉
I bought mine early in the year before I left for 6 weeks in Panamá. I did a minimal amount of testing before I left mid February. I recorded on bike rides in Bocas del Toro (in Bocastown the roads make the streets of LA feel like a well-maintained speedway by comparison) and on an e bike tour of the Boquete highlands. On the island I used my GoPro handlebar mount; in Boquete I used a crappy handheld telescoping selfie stick, which at times led to hideous stitching errors. Only about a week ago did I discover the desktop app and start using it on my laptop. Thanks for this video. I’m playing catch-up learning about the One X2 in between trips since the Hero 10 is my go-to. It should be interesting using it in Lisbon.
Wow I’m jealous of all your adventures! Excited to see how it works for you in Lisbon!
Thanks for the review. I'm about to get one of those in the mail, and this review was very helpful. I'll stay away from the phone app. And I guess I'll have to find a fix for the bouncing, as I'll be using it for mountain biking.
I wanted a 360° video... good review
Very good explanation..
Great Video Mitch. did you check the X3? did you check the latest insta360 app? now you can export at 4k 60fps from the app.
Nice Video .Thanks !
Thanks for the different angles, enjoyed it! I am also interested to know where did you get those front and rear mounts? I dont think those come from the bike bundle?
Thanks for watching! They're in the motorcycle mount kit from Insta360.
Amazing 🥰
Man I have been shooting our bike rides road, tandem, gravel for the last 2 years with a oneR. From what I saw from this video I think you can get alot better final product once you get more familiar with the editing and reframing your shots. The app is way better than the desk top in my opinion. It has more features to edit and its much faster. the oneR and oneX2 use hte same app so don't give up. you'll end up with some killer stuff.
Parabéns pela iniciativa de compartilhar conhecimentos e experiências aqui 👏 abraços do Brasil. 🇧🇷👋
Da uma olhadinha no meu canal que dou uma dicas sobre a câmera tb. Tmj
Nice job!
But you know, that the color from the GoPro is hard pushed from the Software. That you can also use on the Insta with the VividColor Setting. or in the PostProcessing with a good LUT. And for the stitching "error" - imagine the Insta360 is a huge fan on the sides, this helps visualize the stitching line. Then you just have to turn the camera so that the "rotor blades" do not cross the important points and good.
That’s really good advice for avoiding stitching errors 🙏
Thanks for the tips. Liking the ball arm mount I'm seeing on this and other videos. Time to spend money. 🤕
I'm a novice cyclist and in June cycled 200+ miles over 3 days. I only bought the X2 for this trip as I don't trust my GoPros. I had the camera out front the entire ride... 9 SD cards of footage! Nearly finished the edit for that. 🤭
First mount was bolted on the forks using the mudguard hole, selfie stick up and out in front of my face. A great angle, natural looking footage with the stitch line not at all visible but the wobbles destroyed the bolt before the end of day 1. A second magic arm would fix that if you don't mind it being in shot.
Second mount was on a smallrig mini clamp on the handlebar stem with a male to male 1/4" adapter into the bottom of the selfie stick. Minimal wobbles, 100% solid and the view followed where I steered. Not a flattering angle, all knees with a tiny body.
The ball mount is super handy, but i worry its part of the wobbles my footage gets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I may try to double up on magic arms like you mentioned. Hopefully that'll steady the footage a bit!
Anyplace I can find your footage??
I have my X2 mounted to the back of my cycle helmet arched over so it looks a bit like a scorpions tail. It puts the centre of gravity almost over my head so it doesn't make the helmet slip backwards. By being on the helmet it takes a lot of vibration out of the video and I get quite nice footage.
What if directly mounted to the center of the handle bar with no stick?
Great demo, info 👍🏼 one Question … what is the coupling or mount you are using to attach stick to bike? 🤷🏻♂️
Just dropped it in the bio. Thanks for watching!
Nice review and details 👍
Thanks Rishi!
What kind of bike mount did you use for the Back of the wheel angle?
Really informative content for bikers.
Nice bike u got there dude....I have the same model of camera too...I just wanna ask you the type of clamp that u used when shooting from the front angle...tq
What is your bike mount? Do you have any recommendation?
Thx for the video review. May I know what's the clamp used? I suppose a good and sturdy one matters to avoid dropping the cam.
Hi! I have a video up now with the details on the clamp and selfie stick I used (in the shorts section of my channel)
So cool. Which selfie stick/grip is this?
Holy cow! Passing a car is trippy!
The distortion is crazy!
Super interesting video
If I buy the extended stick will I have the need to buy smaller one too?
Can we use the extended selfie stick for the same cycle/bike shots? Or only smaller one is recommended?
Hi. Thanks for the video review. -Can you recommend some Good lent protectors? Thanks
I did a little research and it looked like the lens protectors created additional stitching errors. I chose not to use them because of it.
What clamp do you use for your bike? I got the standard post mount from Insta360, which is kinda wobbly. I also have a K-edge mount thingy on the front which lets me put the garmin on top and camera underneath. I've got the Unicorn mount that I attach to that which sticks up at the front, but it's wobbly too. I'm thinking a more sturdy selfie stick + solid clamp will do a better job of keeping things stable. So yeah, curious what you used in this video and what you're using now?
I use the taisioner clamp and selfie stick (more details in this Short ruclips.net/user/shortsdZK6k-NpDJ4). I also have a unicorn mount and k-edge mount on my new bike. Long story short, I haven't found a good way to completely get rid of the wobbles, so I just select the best-looking footage for the edit. I wish there were a better solution. Lemme know if you find one!
Thanks Mitch very useful as I am considering purchasing one soon as I am a cyclist and I need those angles of me pedalling showing the entire bike, however I have tri bars so will have to play around with the angles.
My main worry is with the selfie stick hanging out the footage needs to be on quiet roads with less cars otherwise the stick will hit them and there goes the camera, resulting in a replacement!!
Definitely a valid concern You have to be carful with those side angles. I wouldn't recommend using it on a busy street. But definitely great for that kind of shot if you're trying to get an image of the entire bike.
Great video Mitch. Can you pass on a link for the bar/handlebar mount you used?? Thanks!!
Thanks! I think theres a link in the description of this video (the name of the mount is in thad video for sure) : ruclips.net/user/shortsdZK6k-NpDJ4
@7:29, did you say "Avoid those stitchuations"? or did I just hear that in my mind? ;)
could you please introduce the bike mount you used for insta360 ?
Details are in this short! How I connect the Insta360 ONE X2 to my bike
ruclips.net/user/shortsdZK6k-NpDJ4?feature=share
I use the Cycliq front and rear cameras on my bike and they work fine but like all cameras they have their downsides. After seeing this excellent video I think the Insta360 ONE X2 would be a valuable addition to have on my rides. I have to overcome two obstacles: 1- I will just have to determine the best way to mount it in the event of a crash which I average about one per year. 2 - Convince my wife to let me make the purchase.
Those are two big obstacles, especially number two 😂 good luck!
Than you for your video, what mount you use or accesories for the bottom of your hanndlebar? I see that you have another thing that is not the clamp
It’s the built in mount that comes with the 2020 Giant Revolt. Insta360 has a new mount called the “Third-Person Bike Handlebar Mount” which functions similarly!
Quick one. Do you have links to the accessory that you used to mount the selfie stick on the bike (the out front / seat post etc). Thank you
ruclips.net/user/shortsdZK6k-NpDJ4?feature=share details in this one ☝️
@@MitchBoyer Thank you
Great vid, how are you mounting the camera and selfie stick to the bike? Am looking for a decent handle bar mount. Cheers
Thanks! My bike (Giant Revolt 2) has a built-in GoPro mount on the handlebars. I bought a little adaptor for the selfie stick so I could stick it on there. It slips around a lot on bumpy roads, so I wouldn't really recommend it-that's why it's not directly featured in the video. If you find a good, sturdy adaptor, please let me know!
@@MitchBoyer Thanks for your reply.
I am currently using this PGYTECH mount ruclips.net/video/etuKdoevqQQ/видео.html
It was great first few days, but now it’s come loose in one of its joins (contemplating buying another to see if the first one was just a one off dud).
The other choice I saw was Manfrotto super clamp ruclips.net/video/cvwsjkw_5-M/видео.html
It’s looks good but seems a bit bulky. Decisions decisions ..
What is that for a camera mount on the Ahead stem?
Here’s a short video with the details on the clamp and selfie stick: ruclips.net/user/shortsdZK6k-NpDJ4?feature=share
Did you try recording in HDR so that the sky colour is more accurate? Also did you read the EULA before installing the desktop app? Quite a few references to the chinese gov which users may or may not be comfortable with.
I got the camera two weeks ago and I use a Sony X3000 for a number of years. Re-framing in post is great. I also have experimented with a number of angles.
I use a handlebar bag from Ortlieb: Ultimate Six Plus 8.5 L Handlebar Bag. The largest Version is only available in black. There is a camera insert available for this. It's waterproof and it acts as shoulder-bag for the camera when I do backpacking for a couple of weeks. Usually, I have a GH5, two or three lenses and the action cam in the bag.
Sounds like a great bag!
@@MitchBoyer Ortlieb is expensive but it is kind of the gold standard for bike-packing equipment in Germany. Bike-vacation is a pretty German thing, everything from a week at a river (Rhine, Danube, Elbe) up to longer trips criss-cross Europe is very common. In 2016 they counted 680.000 bike travelers at the Danube river bike way (D6) between Passau and Vienna. Gets a bit crowded there.
Thanks for the video.. just a little question, how do you mount that stick to your bike??
here ya go! ruclips.net/video/dZK6k-NpDJ4/видео.html

Thanks, gotta keep it real!
Hi....thanks for amazing tips on camera angles 👍....can you please share details of mount you have used throughout the video
Here’s a short video with all the details ruclips.net/user/shortsdZK6k-NpDJ4?feature=share
dig the guide. what camera mount you using for the 360 on the bike. Thanks
Just a basic mount I picked up on Amazon. I don't recall the name off the top of my head, but I have a youtube short video on my channel page with the details ✌️
U need a second holde like a camera articulating arm to hold the stick. Did this with mtb in the woods and its stable
I carry my camera gear + drone in a backpack. Too many things to fit in my pockets. As for the 360° camera, I’ve relegated it to short action or transition shots. I found the weak resolution doesn’t show as much it you do things like dolly zooms, fast movements or panning. I usually keep the footage out of it full of movement and short. That way, the shortcomings aren’t so noticeable and I get a lot of flexibility.
