I feel like nobody gives kameron Marlowe he respects. I know he hasn’t dropped an album yet(which he just announced the release date) but with the little bit of music he’s released has been astonishing
So happy to see 49 winchester on the thumbnail for this -- before even watching! Great band have been playing them nonstop for a few years now. Fortune favours the bold is a great progression on their sound and, just like III, is great listening from start to finish. Edit: just got to this part of the video. Damn darling is a personal favouite at this stage - feels like indy Garth. Please, please, PLEASE check out their last album, III.
My favorite love concert I’ve been to was Randall King here in montana he is so energetic and he gets into it with the crowd it’s just a fun honky tonk country concert where you go to have a drink sing songs and go crazy
DUDE when you said "new band you probably haven't heard of" I instantly thought of Low Gap and sure enough, it was. Love Mockingbird. Found them on TikTok.
Unrelated to the vid but I wanted to say thank you Grady. Saw Flatland Cavalry in Asheville, NC a couple weeks ago and it was the most incredible show I’ve ever seen, such an amazing experience and atmosphere and I loved every second of it. I never would’ve found them or Zach Bryan or CWG or Turnpike or so many others of my now favorite artists if I hadn’t found your channel. So thank you.
The Wilder Blue - Thank you for that one! I found "The Ol' Guitar Picker" and The Kingsnake and the Rattler" - great songs! And some more ... I am thankful for your videos - good work!
Ian Noe & Miranda Lambert are the ones that have delivered the most for me thus far. Kaitlin Butts’ album was also really good! I really want a whole album from Mae Estes. Of the three songs I’ve heard so far she’s batting 1.000.
long neck way to go was sent to radio about a month down in australia and has been in the top 5 ever since, also jon pardi needs to make a 40 song long trucking album
@@user-uw5vs4jq9v yeah it was definately a midland song ft. jon pardi, but still easily something he would have made, plus he has a unique voice, if thats one way to put it, its nasaly and reminds me of early slim dusty songs
I heard Gus Johnson of Low Gap at my State FFA convention in person. He is very talented and I flipped out when you brought up his band. Gus is also only a junior and they write their own songs.
I had never heard of Orville Peck before a review of him you did a couple of months ago when I immediately became a fan. Since then, I've purchased all of his music and play it constantly. "Let me Drown" is my hands down favorite, though there is not one song I dislike. The last time I purchased any other artist's album would be Miranda Lambert's "The Weight of These Wings." Before that would have been something in the 90's like Tanya Tucker. Keep up the good work you do. Don't get discouraged. Make all those dreams in Nashville come true.
So many GREAT albums on this list. My top 10 so far this year.... 10 Jackson Dean - Don’t Take Much 09 Jamestown Revival - Young Man 08 Adam Hood - Harder Stuff [feat. Miranda Lambert] 07 Brent Cobb - When It's My Time 06 Bryan Martin - Self Inflicted Scars 05 Jelly Roll - Son Of A Sinner 04 The Dead South - We Used to Vacation 03 Aaron Watson - Unwanted Man 02 American Aquarium - All I Needed 01 Arlo Mckinley - Stealing Dark from the Night Sky
I know I've DM'd my man's Grady multiple times about Country coming Down by Paul Cauthen. It's so raunchy in such a good way. I wish we'd get some Grady coverage!
Molly Tuttle's Crooked Tree will never get the attention it deserves, but what a gorgeous album, and I would put the title track up against any song released this year. If you ever get the chance, go see her live. I saw her open for OCMS last year, and I could not stop staring at her hands playing the guitar. What an unbelievable musician!
“How the Might Fall” is such a great album. For pre-release songs, Arlo McKinley’s “Stealing Darkness from the Night Sky” and Whiskey Myers’ “John Wayne.”
Mine (albums): 1. Kaitlin Butts - What Else Can She Do? 2. Michaela Anne - Oh to Be That Free 3. Ian Noe - River Fools and Mountain Saints 4. Stacy Antonel - Always the Outsider 5. William Clark Green - Baker Hotel 6. The Wilder Blue - The Wilder Blue 7. Caroline Spence - True North 8. Brett Eldredge - Songs About You 9. Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway - Crooked Tree 10. Tony Logue - Jericho 11. Zach Bryan - American Heartbreak 12. Hailey Whitters - Raised 13. American Aquarium - Chicamacomico 14. Noah Guthrie - Blue Wall 15. Jenny Tolman - Married in a Honky Tonk
Miranda has tons of hits obviously but I've noticed alot of my favorite tracks on her albums are the closing tracks like dark bars on wildcard the lyricism that woman has like there is a reason she's regarded as a superstar God like Im gonna probably make an entire video on the genius that is miranda lambert
Thoughts on the country tracks on Carrie Underwood's 'Denim & Rhinestones'? Particularly the beautiful 'Garden' as well as 'She Don't Know', 'Velvet Heartbreak', 'Hate My Heart' and the barn-burner 'Poor Everybody Else' ?
I'd love to see you cover Every Girl That Got Away by Emerson Drive at some point. (Or any of their stuff really, I personally enjoy it but never see anyone mention their songs.)
What are your thoughts on kameron Marlowe? He just announced that hes gonna release an album in about two months and personally I love his work. Maybe you’ve talked about him and I’ve missed it though
Haven't heard anything from you on Scotty's Damn Strait single. Soon to be his 5th #1 in a row. This song is real classic country music and his album Same Truck is so good!
The rain delays had nothing to do with the way the crowd does. His fans are devoted and all love him and his music for the help they give that therapy never could do. I am one for sure
Hey Grady! I thought I'd mention an underrated artist that I haven't seen you mention yet, could be an idea for your next video! Adam Harvey is an Australian artist and below are some of the songs I grew up with, I'd highly recommend checking them all out. Most of his songs from the 90s and 2000s sound unique and not cliché like some other artists out there. • The House That Jack Built • The Older I Get • Beauty's in the Eye (of the Beerholder) • I'm Doin' Alright • Genie in the Bottle • Workin' Overtime • She's Gone • Little Bitty Thing Called Love • Gypsy Queen • The Shake of a Hand • When Lonely Met Love • Love Bug Let me know what you think! Thanks 🤠
Grady, you never got around to Brett Eldredge's "Songs About You" -- the song or the album -- in the first half of the year. I really like the song and am frustrated that it's not catching on at radio in the same way we both were frustrated about "Sunrise Tells the Story." Are you not impressed enough, positively or negatively, with Brett's recent work to even do a review?
My favorite song from American heartbreak is’68 fastback especially (I cleaned up my pistons running on 91) or the good I’ll do or sober side of sorry or she’s alright or no cure especially when it says “I’m living proof that Highway boys don’t dieeee” or billy stay or younger years or happy instead especially the ending
Have you still not ever listened to the Steel Woods yet?!? They’re criminally underrated. I could be wrong but I don’t recall you ever reviewing any of their albums
A few of my 2022 favorites so far: Habits & hearts by Jimmie Allen-as much more of a Jimmie fan than you’ve been, his new album wasn’t my favorite, but this is a great song that wasn’t written by him but that he related to his dad’s struggles with addiction, so it feels a lot more personal than some of his other stuff Also love Jimmie’s Down Home, probably one of my favorite’s he’s ever put out along with Habits & Hearts If I can lose you by Lauren Mascitti-on American idol a few years ago, great song with an awesome classic country sound Red bird by Hunter Girl-you checked out another song of her’s in one of your videos about buzzy country artists, great song about someone in a rough moment in their life needing a sign from someone in their life who has passed away Seventeen by Tyler Braden-appeared on the show “American song contest” this year, really great to listen to song about growing up Also even tho they came out in ‘21, damn strait and the waiter by Scotty McCreery are two songs that I still really love from that album. Honestly that entire album is something I still keep coming back to, I just love the overall sound of it, even tho a good amount of the songs on there are fairly pop country sounding. His voice is just so great to listen to. Also got to go to a Scotty McCreery concert this year, he is such a good live performer with a great voice live, highly recommend seeing him if you can. King Calaway and Tenille arts were his opening acts, and both were great live as well
For albums I would put Chris janson all in, Luke combs growin up, Ernest flower shops, Jason Aldean georgia, Cole Swindell stereotype, Joe Nichols good day for living, Dustin Lynch blue in the sky, Brett Eldredge songs about you, and more.
Tishomingo is an ear worm. There’s a more fun, less family friendly term for it, but ear worm works! Top five on the record from the start.
Facts, it’s one of my favorites on there
Worm was Crazy Horses dads name, though I believe Crazy’s dad was a white man. lol 😆 fun fact.
Tishomingo was my favorite song off the record from the get go, from the beginning chords to the line “where do good men’s dreams go”
I fell in love with it after the 8th or 9th album listen 😂
Definitely one of my favorites from that album
We are honored Grady, absolutely honored.
Great song. Keep it up man. 💚From Assam
Glad to see Randal King more and more in your videos!
I feel like nobody gives kameron Marlowe he respects. I know he hasn’t dropped an album yet(which he just announced the release date) but with the little bit of music he’s released has been astonishing
Girl on fire is a top 5 song this year
I really love her steady heart. Beautiful song.
Sounds like I gotta dive in
@@GradySmith For sure! Kameron Marlowe is slowly becoming one of my favorite artists.

My top 3 albums rn
American Heartbreak - Zach Bryan
Fortune Favors the Bold - 49 Winchester
Chicamacomico - American Aquarium
Gotta love 49 Winchester
I had a very similar experience at a Parker concert in Nashville.. waited about 3 hours in the rain and the atmosphere after was unreal.
My favorite love concert I’ve been to was Randall King here in montana he is so energetic and he gets into it with the crowd it’s just a fun honky tonk country concert where you go to have a drink sing songs and go crazy
Couldn’t agree more about “how the mighty have fallen” ….that’s such a great albun
Very glad to see you added Human at the end of that. I really feel like that album has so much to offer with a great wave of emotions

The Wilder Blue - Thank you for that one! I found "The Ol' Guitar Picker" and The Kingsnake and the Rattler" - great songs! And some more ...
I am thankful for your videos - good work!
Now you have to come back at the end of the year and do the same categories and see if any change.
Mockingbird is such a good song and I only found out about it a couple days ago. It’s stuck in my head on repeat
Great list
Amen on Hailey, Molly, and Randall! Good luck and blessings on your move, bro. And thanks for the introduction to Low Gap... those guys are amazing!
Glad to see some love for 49 Winchester. I have been listening to them for almost a year now and it is criminal that they don’t get enough attention.
Gotta love 49 Winchester
i’m not sure what rock i’ve been living under, but molly tuttle is incredible. i wont be turning this album off for a while. Thanks Grady!
See her live. She'll have you in the palm of her hand in no time.
Mockingbird has been stuck in my head forever haha
Was hoping Laurel Cove woulda made favorite live show but I guess taking your dad to a show is hard to top. Nice video bud.
Long time no see, Grady. I’ve been really busy. Nice to check back in and hear some recommendations.
Ian Noe & Miranda Lambert are the ones that have delivered the most for me thus far. Kaitlin Butts’ album was also really good!
I really want a whole album from Mae Estes. Of the three songs I’ve heard so far she’s batting 1.000.
Highly agreed on Mae Estes! Love her voice, and songs!
River Fool is so good love Ian Noe
LOVE Miranda's new album!!! She definitely delivered!

I’ll Be Loving You off Miranda Lamberts album is an absolute bop, one of my favorites of the year
I am about to see Charles Wesley Godwin live for the first time and I am super excited about it!
His voice is unreal. He doesn’t get the respect he deserves when he’s opening for other acts.
I saw him a couple months ago and somehow he sounds even better in person
Grady don’t know if ya talked about hank weaver and his single “take it slow” but he has so much talent
I heard Gus Johnson of Low Gap at my State FFA convention in person. He is very talented and I flipped out when you brought up his band. Gus is also only a junior and they write their own songs.
You make country music better
As surfer, I really love “Wave Dancer” by The wilder Blue. It’s so relatable to me
Wow, super impressed by Low Gap. Great recommendation and will now be a champion for Mockingbird everywhere I go!

If I can lose you by Lauren Mascitti-on American idol a few years ago, great song with an awesome classic country sound
Red bird by Hunter Girl-you checked out another song of her’s in one of your videos about buzzy country artists, great song about someone in a rough moment in their life needing a sign from someone in their life who has passed away
Seventeen by Tyler Braden-appeared on the show “American song contest” this year, really great to listen to song about growing up
