    With regards to balance, where on your feet do you like to keep your weight?
    Personally, especially with the rotational movement involved in the hip engagement and leaf and triangle steps, I find that driving my weight through the ball of the foot is easier on the knees and the back.

      Great question! In my experience, it varies person to person - some people are fully on the balls of their feet with little to no weight on the heels, whereas I personally am split and still have about a third of my weight back on my heels until I rotate for a step. But as they say in the manuscripts, the market will teach you, so do what works best for you. As long as you can easily rotate on the balls of your feet as part of your steps and overall are balanced, you should be good.
