FELD/NBC/Fox doesn't have anything on this. So simple, yet so well done. A true broadcast... with true broadcasters....... God, this is so refreshing. (of course...aside from the "behind the scenes crap")
Hopkins’ run may be the best Pro Arena truck run of the entire Motor Madness era. The Beaumont track was brutal and he was the only one to hit every spot absolutely perfect.
Those skits are very awkward lol... I wonder, they say that Des Moines 1997 was the first monster truck show broadcasted on national TV... but what about those things like Penda, or Tuff Tracks? those were much older.
The very first live monster truck event on TV was Des Moines, IA 1997, since it was live from start to finish. Other events like PowerTrax, PENDA, etc, they were all taped and edited weeks after the event was done.
Awful. No offense, but this is some terrible stuff. Ralph Shaheen and Dave Burns and Galloway are great, but the rest... This whole cross into wrestling is a disaster.
Motormadness was amazing in 97 but watching the 98 stuff no that I'm an adult it got over scripted and dramatized. If they would have just stuck with the way everything was produced in 97 it would have been way better.
I remember watching this live right after the dukes!

They are saying that DesMoines 1997 was the first time monster trucks were broadcast live which is indeed accurate.
MTuncensored but then what's powertracks tuff trax and penda supposed to be? those were much earlier
They weren't live broadcasts, that's all they were saying.

Dalton Hastings So does that mean they were only available in certain regions? Thanks for helping clearing it up by the way :)
