The lack of even remotely realistic stamina in game kinda kills all the "strategy". It just turns into a clusterfuck where people are swinging these massive weapons without tiring for minutes at a time.
The way swords are balanced, it doesn't take a ton of energy to swing since all the weight is right where you hold the weapon- it actually is more tiring just to hold the blade out than to swing it!
What are the Buckler and Targe used for? They cost as much as shields but you can't hold your block. I realize that they can provide some protecting when low on stamina since you lose the shield instead of you weapon, but so does a normal shield.

3 tips: 1) In a big 64 players frontline game it's VERY common to have entier lines of enemies close to your allies. DO NOT swing your weapons, focus on the stabs, use a halbers or spear or something "long" and pointy and help your teammates with safe hits from a distance, EVEN IF you are not good at the game you can at least minimize your collateral damage to friends and help them push. 2) if your PC is a bit old (like mine) and is having big FPS drops REMOVE the RAGDOLL in the settings. This helped me a lot with a cople visual tweacks and now i can play fine. 3) HOLD BACK, if you are injured and you can retreat behind your allies line, do it, instead of dieing instntly and having to respawn and walk back just wait a bit
range on halberds are not that good. if you want range, get a spear. otherwise, get a rapier and shield. it does less damage than a halberd but it attacks almost twice as fast and the range isn't that much shorter considering how far you lunge when you stab.
toolbox works pretty good against horses. The one way spikes really limit their routes and if they mess up it'll kill them and it helps protect your archers so they can help hold the line. I still hate dealing with horses though.
XD stupid scums from Chivalry whose told me that in Mordhau it is a same fighting system with spins and back strikes... Suck it. Now only yours skill, reaction and weapon stats. No bugs, no giant FOV 360 no broken animations XD. I really satisfy when I'm playing this masterpiece. Thanks Triternion for your hard work. Its not anti respect for Chivalry (I really like this game) but I really glad to see fresh breathe to the genre.
Not too fresh with the drags, accels and matrixing still being the thing. Sure, you can say all you want about "special features", but in reality you can't use those. But, surprise!, you can hold your block indefinitely, which will be very effective even without trying to "aim for the tip". Still waiting for an actual realistic swordfighting game...

3 tips:
1) In a big 64 players frontline game it's VERY common to have entier lines of enemies close to your allies.
3) HOLD BACK, if you are injured and you can retreat behind your allies line, do it, instead of dieing instntly and having to respawn and walk back just wait a bit
range on halberds are not that good. if you want range, get a spear. otherwise, get a rapier and shield. it does less damage than a halberd but it attacks almost twice as fast and the range isn't that much shorter considering how far you lunge when you stab.
what is that skin on his longsword??
Hope that wasn't a Kickstarter thing cause DAYUM it's pretty
Yeah I really want it
Basically everything ingame tutorial teaches you + a bunch of very useful additional information, nice.
how do i throw my swords and war axes?? ive pressed all matter of buttons. Do have i just the artard?
(I use the war axe btw)
Rhett Hahn you can only throw one handed weapons (mace, short sword, dagger)
oh ok, thank you
Great idea to keep it detailed and brief, thank you
toolbox works pretty good against horses. The one way spikes really limit their routes and if they mess up it'll kill them and it helps protect your archers so they can help hold the line. I still hate dealing with horses though.
why the player always seems to have NO helmet at all...i mean it would be nice to look through out of these small slots of a armoured helmet !
Its legit the tutorial at the start of the game..
Honestly these explanations were much better than the tutorial.
Now I really want to see a ton of clashes in a row on the battlefield... Probably won't happen though.
It happens. Trust me
@@itsflyde I've played 80 hours now, never seen it happen.
skurt then ur bad or something, it’s happened to me plenty lul
@@itsflyde Sorry to break it to you but it only happens to noobs who spam attacks.
skurt Or people who have quick riposte fights? You don’t have to be a “noob” to fight fast. :/
Things i don‘t know afterwards:
- wich button to kick
- when to hold or click mouse buttons
- how to morf an attack keywise
sad! startes out so good!
how about you play the ingame tutorial than?
You got on the offical mordhau game! good job
excellent asmr, looking forward to more
XD stupid scums from Chivalry whose told me that in Mordhau it is a same fighting system with spins and back strikes...
@@getsideways7257 sure it's not simulator it is hack'n'slash multiplayer game. I didn't say is the realistic i say that it's so much fun and better balanced.
@@x_bootch_x9728 To each his own, I guess. I'd rather have a simulator instead. In fact, I already have an idea on how to get that to work...
If you have an idea then why haven't you done it already?
@@maregondrako It took Triternion forever to release Mordhau in a half-baked state, yet you are asking *me* that?
I look forward to more guids. Everything is so confusing.
THANKS for the tutorial Trix!!
holy shit this almost made me sleep
i stopped playing mordhau and now im back, im watching this video again, hello me
I'll save you 8 minutes of watching:
Get a spear, get a horse, you win.
just spear the horses head
Long story short:
Feint counters parry,Chamber counters feint,Morph counters Chamber and Parry counters normal attacks and morphs
The one and only skill that matters in Mordhau is memes.
you forgot to mention how the END key is op
Please do the same video but add the combination of BUTTONS what to press while showing the video at the same time. THANKS.
@Trix thanks for your videos. Can you reveal your key bindings?
This is so calming
So basically. "Switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading." 6:10 or around that part in the video.
thank you, you said every things I need but without telling which buttons :\
thx
I couldn`t get a single kill before watching this video. Both lives I had after watching granted me a three-man killing streak. Thank you!
Can someone help me out?
I just bought the game, and I joined 2 different servers and none of my attacks are registering (enemies, friendlies, objects, etc.) I can literally hang out with enemies and nobody attacks me, and then a minute later I get randomly attacked and killed by people who aren't near me or visible at all.
It's like I'm playing the game a minute behind everyone else, and yet I'm not experiencing any lag, or what I typically experience when I am lagging.
