If you throw a little EQ on the pickup you can achieve a similar tone to the mic. The ES2 pickups are a little heavy on the high-mids IMO. I have a couple Taylors with the stock pickups, and I give them a good mid scoop and they sound pretty good.

Thank you sir! The title of this song is very close to what you said: Jesus, What a Wonder You Are. God bless you!

@@77guitarts22 I recently bought a Faith Blood moon Venus, amazing guitar can't wait to start leading worship with it and playing my own songs live.
      I have a yamaha apx500 ii also.

@@trueworshiplife Very true, it's an amazing Guitar, Beautifully looking and deep sounding. It will sound better and better with time. I also love mine! The APX has a nice pickup and is probably a lot thinner and easier to hold but it's laminated wood not solid like the Faith. Keep up worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ! He's worthy!

Is this the walnut back and sides version or the older sapelle model? Not sure if I like the E2 system on that particular one. Great playing tho.

Thank you for the comment and appreciation! It's the Walnut version. The Es2 is fine but it needs to be tweaked accordingly to get a good sound.

I’m literally about to buy that exact guitar do you still think that it is worth it? And has it held up? Thanks

It depends, if you buy it used and it's like half price, than it's worth it... But for the price of a new 114ce, you can get yourself an All-Solid wood Eastman AC122 or 222, similar guitar but more resonant and with more character then the Taylor 114. If you want only the Taylor name, then go for it but soundwise and feelwise if you would play both Taylor and Eastman side by side I would say the Eastman wins.

Thanks buddy I was eyeing up the tailor because it comes with a decent case and I’m skeptical of getting an all solid wood guitar because I heat my house with a woodstove and it gets really dry in here in the winter I will definitely check out the other guitars you mentioned thanks again and beautiful song

@mattconroy3357 Glad to help! The Eastman comes with a nice case as well. The Taylors are really sensitive with the humidity and you will probably need a neck reset very quickly... ( In my experience of 6 Taylors until now - sold all, have just one All-Solid now) If you don't have a close by Taylor dealer or repair shop, you'll not be happy... The Eastmans are very well made, hand made not factory like Taylor

Thanks for your help man. The only problem is I have guitar Center gift certificates and they don’t seem to have any new Eastmans. But I will keep looking. Thanks again buddy I really appreciate it. I’ve been playing for a little over a year and my first guitar was an Ibanez Artwood concert shape and it is held up pretty good. Now I’m looking to up it a little bit and spend an extra couple hundred bucks and I have gift certificates from Christmas to guitar Center and I’m looking for a grand auditorium shape because I love fingerpicking flatpicking and strumming. But what do you think about Yamaha or Alvarez?
