I don't know what condo you stayed in, but I assure you it wasn't mine. We purposefully buy machine washable comforters for our beds so they can be washed between every single reservation.
You can always ask for fresh sheets when you first arrived and I'm sure they would give you a clean comforter if you would have asked is that all you're going to complain about
