I just started a build around this weapon. With entomber armor, ash boots, default possessed boon, and master of motion, I sit at 80% decay resist. Sleep in a bone cage tent and since the poison only does 0.2 dps and the tent regens 0.25 hps, you just out-regen the poison effect. I also threw in the Krypteia mask for plague immunity. It's been an easy run so far, lol.
Sleeping outside the loading docks can make the ship to appear. No need to sleep in a close dungeon. Certain armor combination or sets can make you immune to plague. There are also enchantments for some items that resist plague.
There is a boss armor called krypteia armor. If you wear the helmet you become completely immune to plague which would help a lot here. Unfortunately you still get poisoned by the weapon eventually which will still kill you. Here is my recommendation. 1) Take holy mission. You get 20 decay resistance from that faction which is a lot. 2) You have a few options for armor but silver, jade lich, and entomber offer a lot of decay resistance. Jade lich armor is probably the easiest way to become immune to decay. 3) You end goal would be to make sure you can't take decay damage. This means you can get plague and poison on you and it won't matter. 4) If you can't get to full 100 decay immunity, then hotbar the decay boon so you can consistently use it. 5) This is how I played with it when I was goofying around with Shriek. I would also recommend trying to stay corrupted because it offers a massive decay damage buff. Hopefully this helped a bit and I am glad you are enjoying the content!
Your videos are so helpful me and a friend started playing this and I first I was having an awful time after watching your videos I'm actually getting a lot done and loving the game still get wrecked by tougher enemies when playing solo tho lmaoo
Thanks! I am glad they are helping out. I have really come to enjoy how the mechanics work in Outward and every time I try a different weapon class it seems to work very well. Build crafting is what gets me into the game. I have way to many ideas for them 😂
Idk what my build is but I'm using gold lich sword and blue sand armor I like shields and I can't choose between gold lich shield or crimson shield but yea I love the game gives me the same feel dark souls did but with survival elements
I'm deaf so I sometimes put subs on and don't, so I'm not sure if you mention it but what's some good high altogether resistance armour for decay? Decay Resistance I got so far: 30% Elite Hood 30% Entomber Body Armour 20% Jade Lich Boots (+Bonus Decay Dmg) This only adds to 80% so I use 20% Possessed Decay Boon for 100% resistance. Is there a better way around this without having to use mana for the Boon nor using the Decay Resistance potions. I'm confused why you have silver armour when it's slow & drains stamina when Elite Hood is stronger in stats and resistance (Bought at Berg Smith). And for the giant snail fight part, I just attack from the front sides, none of the magic hits you from there.
So the best way to do this is actually taking holy mission faction quest. It will grant you a passive which makes you always have 20 resistance in decay no matter what. I like silver armor because its great for physical damage and the stamina isn't really that bad especially after you take the tier one passives from mercenary. Elite Hood 30% Decay Silver Armor 30% Decay Jade Lich Boots 20% Decay Holy Faction 20% Decay Which means 100% decay resistance without a boon or resistance potion. Cabal Hermit, Rogue Engineer (To wear Zhorns hunting backpack), And Whatever else. Should have you dealing crazy damage, running good on stamina, and have some decent damage reduction. But there are a few ways to do it so don't feel like this is the best option or anything.
I have had one of those drop in each of my playthroughs. However the weird thing is I only got one each time even though I was at the ark more than once. Kind of odd but yes definitely pick that up.
Well thanks again for the content. I didn't know anything about this weapon. Mediocre player that I am, I have been thrown out of the Arc so many times I have placed it in my do not go list. Such a pity developers decided to pull the plug on advancing the game as they have left so much that could be developed and progressed. Oh well.
Shriek is just hilauriously powerfull in a troglodyte playhtrough. If you wear the mask that turns you into a trog grenadier, you become immume to decay damage and get 100% extra decay damage. Dump a poison varnish on that bad boy, chuck a poisonous grenade with your skill and watch the world die.
killed grandmother medyse and all her adds, died, reenter the caverns, her body dispawned before i can loot the guarantied spicement and tendacles...i hate this game sometimes
Plague does not actually ignore poison resistance. You can become completely resistant to it by having 100 decay resistance. On the flip side, enemies 100% resistant to decay will take no damage from it. It is 4 decay damage per second. Most enemies that are resistant to poison or decay damage are not 100% immune and will still take good damage as it is an overtime affect.
Love that you make content for this game I know its not very much lol but my friends and I vastly appreciate it
Well thank you. That means a lot and I certainly have many more ideas for content!
"First, head off to Caldera"
*Dies of Heatstroke*
Dies of fear before even making it there 😂
Another banger per usual, Sheen. Thanks for being a consistent Outward content creator.
Thank you for supporting the channel! Glad you enjoy it!

Completely forgot about the enchantments tbh.
Any recommendations on how to build around this spear, skills, breakpoints and gear? Brilliant guides by the way been watching for a couple of weeks.

@@SheenShots oh and I'm also wanting to try hex magic got a bit of mana just for it any advice on the build aha?
while you are under the loading dock, also go up the ark from the dock, press the lever for unlocking the depowered bludgeon
@SheenShots Thank you for yet another invaluable guide! Out of curiosity which enchantment would you favour for this weapon?
Thank you! Poltergeist will give you raw damage and since we are focusing on the decay for this weapon that one would not be bad.

Elite Hood 30% Decay

Holy Faction 20% Decay
Which means 100% decay resistance without a boon or resistance potion.

build idea: speedster-hermit (infuse wind) and ???, and get the moonswipe for spears from the weapon master and use it with shreak
Could be a good idea. I have never been a fan of that skill, but using it with this may give it the damage I felt was missing.
This seems like the ideal spear for a trog playthrough!
It definitely is. Makes you very powerful and its fun to one hit bandits I have to admit lol.
Good luck fighting the plague doctor 🤣
The chests next to the gargoyle droped a calygray bone cage for me, check the chests

I am really holding out hope that we get an Outward 2. Will be disappointing if we don't.

It has 666 durability 😈🔥
The Outward weapon straight from hell lol
I somehow got randomly unsubbed from you, not sure why, Im just mentioning it so you know.
Thanks for the vid as always.
