Die ganzen Stücke muss man erst mal wieder in die Finger kriegen und bei den eigenen Videos nachgucken, in welchen Tonarten man damals die Songs gespielt hat .. grins!
Echt ein klasse Keyboard zu einem interessanten Preis.
Aber wer bereits ein Toppmodell spielt, dürfte dann doch noch einiges vermissen.
Dazu werde ich heut auf den Musikerseiten noch eine kleine Liste ("PSR-SX900 oder Genos?") online stellen, weil diese Thematik sicher noch öfter nachgefragt wird.

Yes Rissa, it is a new step in the history of Yamaha's mid-range keyboards.
Many of us grew up in that era, 50’s and a lot earlier, so that was what we heard on the radio or sang around the piano at home or in the pub. It will be interesting to see what of today’s pop music is still being played in 50 or more years? These have stood the test of time, and are what I play on my Yamaha- / Hammond, and (Harmonium, older than me at 83.)
Thanks for sharing! This is a very nicely design, affordable and user friendly keyboard. I bought it 2 years ago and still enjoy playing it.

Hello Paul, yes, it is really astonishing to get such sounds out of an electronic instrument... played live!
Some folks mention that they would prefer to hear the keyboard out of the box - but we find it interesting, which results can be achieved with onboard sounds, styles and effects if you work with them!
Unfortunately not all our packs run with the new SX900 - because there are voices, Multipads and styles missing - the same problem like Genos and the missing Tyros5 styles.
We don't understand why Yamaha does that, because so many people created registrations that base on these parts. Adapting is not really funny if you have to substitute them somehow...

This is the first time I've ever been impressed with alpine sounds from a keyboard! The baritone and zither sounds are fabulous. The accordions, whilst a big improvement over previous years still have that slightly synthetic sound to them. The guitars are outstanding but this has always been Yamaha's forte ever since the days of the Motif ES in the early 2000s.
Baritone, zither AND rhythm guitar sounds: Indeed they are realistic. But how long do we already demand Yamaha to put these sounds in our keyboards!! Charly is wellknown as specialist in Rellingen (Yamaha Central Europe headquarter) and he already did a lot of effort to give input how such voices have to be that they are useful for Alpine music. But they don't listen well enough...
As it still is, such voices have to be bought as external expansion packs for a lot of money.
There will only be a need also for Yamaha if more people ask for better Alpine PRESET sounds!!

The guitars are almost never good. Not that this player didn't give it a pro's shot, just that there is so much nuance to the guitar, that can't be caught here.

Toll, ich lerne Trompete - Bb, Waldhorn - F, Querflöte, und dabei brauche ich nur das Yamaha PSR-SX900. Einfach ein tolles Instrument, muss ich haben. 👍🍻👍🍻👍🍻
So ging es mir übrigens mit einem akustischen Tenorsax. Hab begonnen, eines zu lernen - und fast zeitgleich kam Tyros4 mit den neuen Sax-Voices raus. Tödlich...!!!! 🤣 LG Heidrun
Had electronic keyboards for 30 years. Swapped by beloved Tyros 4 for the SX 900. I persevered for 12 months but could not really get to grips with it. The Music Finder was the key to the Tyros but was missing on the SX. Part ex'd it for the T5 (76) and never been happier. Brilliant keyboard. The only thing I enjoyed with the SX was the Bluetooth - amazing.
Do you recall whether the SX had all these great pipe organ sounds (shown at 12:12)? Or are those imported from this Soundwonderland collection? (In other words, is the collection/add-on providing totally new voices, or merely tweaking the settings for the voices already onboard the SX?)
The sampled sounds are part of the internal keyboard voices.
All what I added is my experience to make them better and mix them together.
All what is possible in Registrations!

Liebe Heidrun, Dein Stück ab 20:27 gefällt mir hammermäßig gut!! Die Rhythmn-Sektion hätte auch glatt aus Alan Parson's Feder stammen können...traumhaft schön geworden! So treibe auch ich mich, seit ich wieder aktiv bin, mit meinen Eigenkreationen nahezu ausschließlich in den Bereichen Ambient/New Age und Jazz-Rock herum...jetzt muss ich mich nur noch entscheiden, ob es nun ein SX900 oder ein GENOS werden soll. Bei allem, was ich zum GENOS an YT-Infos gesehen habe, scheint man damit wesentlich tiefer in die Sound-Editionen gehen zu können, hingegen bin ich ehrlich gesagt, dem "abgespeckten" SX900 mit seinen Lautsprechern und dem verbauten Gitarreneingang gegenüber auch nicht abgeneigt. Ich werde wohl mit meinem Beyerdynamic-Kopfhörer erst mal zum Music-Store hier in Köln müssen, um beide Geräte direkt zu vergleichen. Vielen Dank auch noch für Deinen unten i. a. Kommentar gegebenen Hinweis auf Deine/Eure Hilfestellung zur Entscheidung zw. GENOS und SX900...das hat mir schon mal etwas weitergeholfen! VLG :-))
Hallo zurück, da muss ich echt lachen... denn Alan Parsons war das Vorbild für diese Multipad-Bank. Guck' Dir mal mein Video für die Synth Multipads an, da wirst du noch weitere Bekannte aus der Synth-Abteilung finden (gibt es für Genos UND SX900!).

The two new PSR-SX keyboards are indeed amazing. The folks that already can play them love them!
But there's a step above: Our top models with 76 keys, after touch, SA2 voices ect.
So if you have a Tyros5, there's no reason to be sad!
By the way: It was not difficult to get them used.
Because it was "only" the adaption of our products which are already in our shop - and to refresh how to play the songs! ;-)

Hi there, just an information! We are working day & night to adapt our shop products for the new PSR-SX900. Most of Alpine styles and many registration packs are already online, also some vocal packs and the new Rhythmical Multipad packages.
Charly adapts his Midifiles to the new keyboard these days - they will be the next products that go online.
If you are interested in a product that isn't already online, just ask us if we can adapt it faster. Because our adaption list is quite long! ;-)

@TheMusicLover1959 Hello back, we are happy to hear that, and we hope that this video can give short impressions how this new keyboard can sound with our products.
Meanwhile we uploaded Charlys Midi files in the Midi file & MP3 category and in our Creative category.
The Multipad category is finished, further vocal packs will go on soon.
And I am just working on the adaption of the learning packs. I am unsure if I also should adapt packs that don't sound as good as the top model versions.
So in this moment "Mull Of Kintyre":
The Irish pipe is missing and there's only this old ugly bagpipe sound... ;-)
Are your desired packs already online?
If not, please tell me which one you like to purchase then. So I will adapt it earlier.

Trés beau instrument on voit que il à de la trés bonne technologie trés belle demonstration les 22.50 minutes je les est pas vu passé je resterais des heures a regarder et a écouter je essaie de aprendre tout seul avec un petit clavier mas c'est pas facil cette démonstration ma etais vraiment benefique je crois que je vais la regarder des dizaines de fois pour milleux aprendre merci pour cette belle demonstration

The both Expansion packs "Premium Pack Alpen" and "HDS Soundpower" both work also for PSR-SX700.
So you can also achieve the authentical Alpine sound you can hear in this video and in the demos in our shop!
Storage capacity for Expansion Voices:
PSR-SX900 approx. 1 GB PSR-SX700 approx. 400 MB
HDS Soundpower needs 17MB, Alpenvoices need 72MB

Sowohl das Alpenpack als auch HDS gehen am PSR-SX700. Damit bekommt man den gleichen authentischen alpenländischen Sound, wie man hier im Video - aber auch in den Demos in unseren Shop hört.

Very good demo, with realistic and nice sounds, great styles and good registrations'work.Just for me, one negative detail, you are not responsible with: the sound's transitions.Since long time, smooth sound transition has been used in many keyboards, workstations etc...Why Yamaha didn't put this system, (available on Montage) into these new arrangers??Quality, confort and transition will be upgraded so far...Please yamaha...just do it in your next keyboards.Thumb up for you, of course!
We fully agree!! Sorry - we cannot answer to "why" questions, because we are not the Yamaha developers.
But we often send those demands to Yamaha - since many years. We have constructed a "Tyros 6" before years, made a survey in the German Yamaha Forum and asked for the needs of users. And sent the results to Yamaha. Up to the promises they must have reached the developers. But we cannot see any results in new keyboards and aks ourself if they have ever read what they got.... :-(

All you can here here is directly recorded from keyboard to my camera. So no extern mixer or effects are used!

BREAKING NEWS - WICHTIGE INFO - PSR-SX900 & PSR-SX700!!
Hi folks, we have important news for all who intend to buy the "little" new PSR-SX700!
Frank Steinbrecher from Musik City Steinbrecher in Pforzheim (many of you know "Frank" from the forums) is so kind to borrow us his only demo keyboard for some days. Surely we were interested if our PSR-SX900 registrations can be opened and if they are so well-sounding as on PSR-SX900. YES THEY DO, if the registrations finds the same voices and styles!!!!! Of course if you ignore the fact that the SX900 has a better loudspeaker system and there are not so much DSPs.
So we do our best now to adapt as much our products as possible in that short time also for the SX700. Please tell us your favorit products and visit our shop to check out also other products that are not shown here in the actual video.
We try to adapt registrations, learning packs, styles, multipad, vocal packs.... all we are able to do and what is technically possible.

Hallo miteinander, wir haben wichtige Neuigkeiten für alle, die den "kleinen" neuen PSR-SX700 kaufen wollen!
Frank Steinbrecher von Musik City Steinbrecher in Pforzheim (viele von Euch kennen "Frank" aus den Foren) ist so freundlich, uns für ein paar Tage sein einziges Demo-Keyboard auszuleihen.
Klar wollten wir wissen, ob unsere PSR-SX900-Registrierungen auch mit dem kleineren Bruder geöffnet werden können, und ob sie so gut klingen wie beim PSR-SX900. JA, DAS TUN SIE, wenn die Registrationen die gleichen Voices und Styles finden, was sehr oft der Fall ist. Natürlich hat SX900 ein besseres Lautsprechersystem und mehr Effekte, deshalb gibt es hier und da kleine Einbußen. Aber immerhin - es geht!!!
Wir tun jetzt unser Bestes, um in dieser kurzen Zeit auch für das SX700 so viele unserer Produkte wie möglich anzupassen.
Bitte teilt uns Eure Favoriten mit und besucht unseren Shop, um auch andere Produkte zu sehen, die hier im aktuellen Video nicht gezeigt werden.

Im nächsten Video wiederholen wir das natürlich nicht, sondern ergänzen es.
Wir sind beide begeistert, was schon mit diesen beiden Keyboards möglich ist!
Du kennst hoffentlich die Unterschiede - nicht, dass du einen Fehler machst?!
Neben der größeren Anzahl von Voices, Styles, Multipads und Effekten (was sich direkt auf die Umsetzbarkeit von Software auswirkt!!) sind dies die wichtigsten Punkte:
- Audio-Style Erkennung
- Bluetooth für Smartphone-Audio-Wiedergabe
- Chord Looper
- Display-Anschluss
- Expansion Speicher (400MB / 1GB)
- Gitarren-Eingang
- Kräftigere Lautsprecher
- SUB-Ausgänge
- USB-Anschluss: 2 statt 1
- User Speicher (4GB / 1 GB)
- Vocalist (der Vocoder ist auch was für Nicht-Sänger!!)
Michi, sorry, ich muss mich berichtigen.
Wusste anscheinend die Titel schon nicht mehr, die wir hier im Video angespielt haben.
"Fading" geht mit dem SX700 wegen der fehlenden Chöre nicht. Und die "Instrumental Inspirations - Pipe Organ" gehen nur auf dem SX900, weil das 700er die Kirchen- und Theaterorgeln der Organ World nicht hat. Aber alles andere funzt! :-)
Hab eben noch eine Titelliste zu den Kommentaren rein gesetzt, damit kann man direkt zu den Demos springen.

thank you for this great demo. it sounds like a lowrey organ. I am waiting to seeif evola music will have them in the stores. as lowrey closed down. we were told they will havw yamahas. for the new students. soon. this model sounds like the easiest to learn to play

I hope they will have them in our class room. as I would be the first one to learn to play it. as I am finishing 19 years playing on the lowrey home organ. also owna lowrey legend.

Sehr schönes Demo, danke. Natürlich haben die neuen Modelle einige interessante Neuerungen, aber ich finde die Preise etwas zu hoch. In dieser Preislage wären bei beiden Geräten eine 256-Fache Polyphonie und ein größerer Samplespeicher, 1 GB beim SX-700 und 2 GB beim SX-900, optimal gewesen. Das würde die Preise dann schon eher rechtfertigen.
Naa, über Preise kann man natürlich streiten.
Aber wenn man weltweit die verkauften Stückzahlen ansieht, muss der Hersteller schon gucken, wie er auf die ganzen Entwiclungskosten wieder kommt.
Wir finden es jedenfalls unglaublich, was man inzwischen fürs Geld bekommt.
Das SX900 hat für uns jedenfalls einen großen Sprung nach vorn getan.
Allein mit der Right3 Voice öffnen sich neue Welten - nicht nur für uns als Software-Hersteller!

Great demo as always Heidrun. Some lovely sounds from that keyboard. I have bought many keyboards over the years. If I'd learnt all the capabilities of the first one before moving on to the next "better" model I would saved myself a fortune. Mind you I did always upgrade one year late which saved a lot. Recently moved to my Tyros 5 from and S950 which is a big jump and probably saved me over £2000 on the T5's original price. Anyway best wishes as always & I wish you all well as we fight through the Coronavirus crisis. P.S. it's sad to see that you have your fair share of trolls - one of the few downsides of social media!!

Very good demonstration. Do you know if all styles from the SX900 are also in the Genos? Or the SX900 has new styles that Genos doesn’t have?
Hello César, there are styles in the PSR-SX900 Genos actually doesn't have. But November 15th Yamaha releases the OS 2.0 together with a download package that also contents 50 new styles. I guess this will also be SX900 styles, but I don't know it. We will see it soon! :-)

No, PSR-SX doesn‘t sound better than Genos - if you have the chance compare both using the same headphone! 😏

Wonderful sounds on that instrument. I assume in looking at the screens that those are expansion packs. Are they already installed and included by Yamaha when the keyboard is purchased? If not can they be bought separately?
I've build the screens using Adobe Photoshop and my computer.
The pitures are only added in the video cut - so they are only virtual here in the video!
