It would be a bit too drastic, and it's part of her tragedy in the story. Personally I wouldn't mind if they changed it a bit, at least give her some inclination that her line will prevail in the end (or at least to know argon III is not the only survivor) before she dies. But it would also make a great heartbreaking cinematic moment if they do it well.
I mean jahaera did die when she was 10. So technically the entire line of Alicent is dead and gone. What survives of the targaryens are from Rhaenyra and daemons blood
Jace and Luke lost their futures but had their happy childhoods, surrounded by family and close to their mother. Viserys and Aegon lost their childhoods but their futures were saved for them. Joffery lost both.
She gave her all her dragonling she had for her to protect. That can show u the respect she had for her. To leave everything in her hands. There is only a few people in this world that would do the same. No one shows the respect or even the love it takes to give everything they love up to protect them this way. This shows the strength of some mothers had how true love and how it can hurt to let them go.
She was sour until she realized that Rhaeyanera was trusting her with the dragon eggs. At that point it showed how much she trusted Rhaena and didn't just expect her to be a baby sitter. Or that she thought less of her because she didn't have a dragon at this time.

Her inability to make a damn decision in the war killed more than half of her kids. It’s so irritating watching her try to be rational when she has team greens going practically full tilt on her. Vhagar was the biggest threat to them and they should’ve focused on how to take her out because without Vhagar and Aemond they blacks would be so much more powerful than the greens and then gathering all these armies from the houses wouldn’t be that necessary with only Sunfyre and Tessarion against all of the blacks dragons. Caraxes and Meleys could’ve taken out Vhagar together possibly without costing either of their lives but Rhaenyra’s decisions are too small and they just get picked off one by one it feels like. It’s such a depressing story because she had more dragons and more support from the great houses of the realm and she fumbled the ball bad and still ended up with the win technically. Imagine if made better decisions damn. Daemon was right to try and make Rhaenys join him to kill Vhagar but everybody just laughed at him and made insults about him not being in charge

This is gonna be an unpopular opinion. We all know how she will die but that doesn’t mean endings can’t be changed.
They hinted her ending in Jeoffrey and Marjorie conversation in got. Sad Rhynera had to go like that. After Reneys she was the best option as a ruler.

Daemon's daughter's & son's he had with Rhaenyra survived the war, so did Aegon's daughter who later married Aegon lll, son of Daemon and Rhaenyra.
But she died without bearing children and Aegon III married valeryon
