A vicious battle along the Naktong River. Many US UN and ROK troops gave their lives to defend this area of the Pusan Perimeter.
At the time, the ground forces were just American, South Korean and British IIRC (the first British troops had arrived just days before this set of battles, and the other forces joining the UN coalition were still on the way, apart from the Australians' air force). This is why North Korea was so ferocious in this Battle at the Nakdong River, they knew it was their one chance to punch into the Perimeter, crush the UN forces and win the war before more reinforcements could arrive. Thankfully, the then-tri-national ground coalition held, in some of the heaviest fighting of that entire era.
That lone bazooka man deserves the Medal of Honor.

One of my Dad's cousins was at this battle. I'm not sure how true to life it is, but he used to say it was very bloody, so at least that's on the money!

My grandfather fought in the Korean war, he said that the general rule of thumb for staying alive was to stay in the trenches/foxholes to avoid getting shot, keep your head down, and listen to command/radio for reports on enemy positions, and move accordingly.
He also said that American troops were killing North Korean troops at such an astonishing rate, that they would literally stack their bodies on top of each other in place of sandbags.
My grandpa said the north korean soldiers were a lot taller than the Chinese, that's how they could tell them apart.

@@SturmFuhrerPK this is just my opinion but why can’t we get a Korean War video game , enough with ww2 ! There are other wars that people need to learn about . I’d love a battlefield or call of duty Korean War game , I’d like if we had two campaigns , one for the USA 🇺🇸 and one for North Korea 🇰🇵 , we’d see both sides of the war , which is cool in my opinion , I think EA did good with the last tiger in battlefield v , that story just should that the average German soldier is a person . So yeah I’d love a Korean War game . Let me know what you think .
@@Thebroshow13 I agree. In fact I think Korean War game would be better then WWII because Korean War was basically WWII combat with Helicopters and Fighter Jets. Its literally the best of both eras.
