- Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event -- close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour. Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi's former boyfriend.

Tashi loves tennis and if she had not gotten injured I think she would have still ended up with art because of their initial beach conversation. At that point he loved tennis just like Tashi did whereas Patrick sees tennis as a way to avoid his family duties. Her and Patrick were bound to break up due to his lack of ambition so really Art’s meddling was unnecessary.
Art loves Tasha but I think one point is that he felt left out. In the hotel it was 3 but he was left out when Tashi and Patrick got together. He was jealous of Tashi and Patrick. Tashi and Patrick are the same to Art, they drive him to be better. Which is why he acts similar with them (gum spitting). Patrick loves art but also uses sex to intimidate him or to have power over him. Patrick and Tashi are similar and are drawn to each other. Patrick = talent which is pure tennis, Patrick is the closest she can get to having sex with tennis. Art = ambition he works hard and his hard work is inline with how she loves tennis. She was initially more attracted to art in the beginning.

By the end of the movie that wasn’t the final point. There was more to go. It was just that at this point the game got good . Also Art touched the net which will cost him his point. So the match was still going to go on. The movie just ended before that but Luca said that to him by the end of the film they all ended up at the hotel 😉

Girl, CMBYN is my favorite movie in the history of movies. I would give left arm to be able to watch it again for the first time. It single-handedly made Chalamet an A-list star, and was nominated for like 11 Oscar’s, including Best Picture and Best Actor. PLEASE watch it so you understand the depth of Luca’s talent.
