There's a reason you're the first Google result for 'build garage cabinets' - nice and fast for the more advanced builder, sense of humor, and plans available for those just starting out. Great balance!

I just built these with my 6 yr old daughter who was actually a great help. Got to discuss a lot of basics with her about why pocket screws work, how to use jigs to get consistent results. Really a lot of fun to do.
I am still a little concerned about them being top heavy, but so far it has come together really smooth and the plans worked out just fine. Thanks!

Great work! I purchased the bundle of plans and then realized that the cost of the plywood vs buying premade cabinets are around the same. With the current cost of plywood, i'm looking at around $320+ for just plywood. For $325 I can get 2x premade ready-to-mount cabinets. I'll be holding onto these plans i just purchased for when plywood prices drop in the future... If they ever do...

You're my inspiration; your free plans for the outfeed table has inspired me to build a new table for my Kreg Adaptive Cutting System, a mitre saw station, and now a drill press table. I can definitely use these cabinets. I'm getting going with my own RUclips channel and goal is to inspire others into the world of woodworking.

Love Your videos! They are informative enough to spark the creative fire and not overly full of details. as far of the K.T.T. My son is almost 2 and has his own 6x6 shed in the back yard.... planning for the win!! I just got done finishing my garage and am in the planning stages for my workshop layout. I am one of those viewers that has to share the garage with the wife's car. really inspired by what you have here, Thank you for what you do!

Like the idea of stuff on the doors as regular cabinets with full shelves rarely get the top shelf used or it is where stuff goes to be forgotten and die.

I wear cargo shorts and cargo pants all the time. As for as I’m concerned they’ll never go out of style unless I can’t find them anymore. Your cabinets look great. When I get some time, most likely not until next year, I plan to make some for my shop. I’ll keep your plans in mind for that project.

KTT sub rod = 2. Most of my kids are grown and flown. The final HS junior has produced limited KTT in his lifespan. So... I'm very lucky. Plus I have a full 2 car garage and a full 1 car garage. For now I've taken over the 1 car garage and am slowly building a respectable shop. Great video. I just subscribed. Thank you sir.

Our K.T.T. Along with grandmas hoarding had filled our garage space. The garage was filled with no room to do anything. After building a well built 10x10 gable style shed that solved grandmas junk and K.T.T. Overflow. But it’s time for these cabinets. Thank you for the video.

I've avoided KTT in my 1 car garage shop by building a 12'x10' shed expansion in the back yard. Thanks for all this inspiration Brad! Making a 1 car garage a functioning hobbiest shop and still having a car park there has been a challenge.

Building specialized storage for the K.T.T. is the key to controlling it. I have a shed in the backyard for the yard K.T.T. and will build a small lean-to beside the shop by the driveway for the bikes and power wheels.

One thought regarding the idea for a miter saw station. If you're limited on space, try offsetting the location of the saw instead of putting it in the dead center of your cabinets. If your garage can't fit ~20ft of length (8ft cabinet + ~4ft miter saw + 8ft cabinet), than make one section of cabinets longer and one section much shorter. This still allows you the space to make miter cuts on a long 8-10ft board without needing tons of clearance on both ends.

KTT is hardcore in my garage. It’s a little over 42% and rising. Winter will send all that kid stuff into storage though, so should be okay. Also, cargo shorts will always be dope. Rock on, Brad.

Don't have KTT or a better half, I live alone in my house.😁 Do share space in garage with a motorcycle and lawn/laundry equipment so this looks like an awesome project. Need to upgrade the power in the garage with dedicated outlets for table saw and dust collector because sawdust is getting out of hand. I have a game plan though.👍 Eventually I'll build a standalone alarmed shed out back for the bike and lawn equipment and I'll be good to go. Will use battery powered lights until I can afford to run a sub panel. Thanks for all your inspiration and I got SkillShare for 50 percent off as I do a lot of work with Adobe After Effects and the rest of the Adobe CC Suite.

    KTT haha
Im using that from now on. I only have 4 bikes, 2 power wheels, a couple scooters, helmets, a bin of sidewalk chalk, etc... and there's more in there. That's just off the top of my head picturing the mound of junk I have now. That's all part of the upcoming garage makeover. I have a feeling a Toy Purge is coming.

Very nice build on the cabinets i spent over 20 years working in Commercial Woodworking for m living and we built a similar Cabinet except we used dowels and glue and screws for assembly and some staples we did fabricate most of our components using. A premium grade Melamine over the 20 years. I never saw one of our cabinets. Come apart the way your store bought ones did Of course. I also used our cabinets in my own shops and garages as well and even when they were grossly overloaded they held up over time we did however use Baltic Birch on all our drawers for added strength and our customers could pay more for cabinets made out of it if they chose nobody ever did as our standard cabinets exceeded AWI specs and the company was in business over 30 years in the same area and most of the customers and Architects knew our products And quality as well as had toured our facility at one time or another i managed the Installation department for most of my years there as i once had done installation myself and enjoyed working in that part of the business I could go into the shop if it was needed as i. Did know how to work a lot of the equipment minus all the CNC equipment primarily i built using a Sliding Table Saw or a more traditional 10” table saw in which our 100,0000 square foot shop had many of

Thanks for these videos - I just moved with my family (six of us) into a house with a double garage. This is the first time I have a double garage so I'm pumped about all the space - but I can see and know that the real estate in these can go very quickly (KTT!!!). I'm not a woodwork builder and am trying to get used tools, etc... I will definitely bribe my wife with stuff so she parks outside :-). Thanks for the inspiration and the content. Cheers.

Would have been cool to set up the cabinet that you made for the desk on casters so you can use it for storage most of the time but you could roll it out of the way and still have access to your desk. The rolling cabinet could also help when you need an extra place for plans, tools and/or fasteners while on another project. Either that or make the cabinet at seat height and use it as your stool... great work as always!! Cheers!

Cool design. I've been looking at building something similar out of MDF and then ones I'd seen were all pretty much 400x400x780mm. I didn't see the point in adding an extra side so I think I'll build double cabinets something along these lines about 800mm wide (to keep with the 2.4x1.2m sheets). Not too sure about the spray can storage, but I think I'll retrofit some store bought racks. All I want around the bench is glues and fillers generally. Thanks for the ideas though!

K.T.T. has reached critical levels in my shop! It is so much worse than that though... My shop has been coined "the storage room". AHHH! Everything from the chest freezer and drink fridge to fishing and camping gear, cleaning supplies, bins of old clothes we someday hope to fit into again, Crossfit/workout equipment, and yes- even the bin of wrapping paper. Conveniently, the dog food bin sneaks in right next to the outside door. Other necessary intrusions include the heat pump water heater, electrical service panel, solar service panel, and an access hatch to even more spillover storage beneath the basement stairs. Did I mention that all of this fits in 180 square feet with a door from the house and a door outside?

Love cargo pants and shorts for working! People at work call me McGiver cause I’ve always got the right thing in my pockets at any given time lol. Much as they make fun of me for them every time they need something basic on the fly they ask me for it and normally I’ve got it lol. Can’t wear a tool belt or apron as there is too much heavy lifts of things against the body. Cargo pockets solve this issue. The only downside.. it’s like a scavenger hunt at the end of the day cause they will gobble up all saw dust shavings and anything else making for a dust collection bag by days end and finding tools in that mess like a small bit can be challenging lol.

Parabéns pelo belo trabalho, infelizmente aqui no Brasil não temos todos esses recursos e ferramentas que que deixam tudo mais rápido e fácil, excelente canal pra quem gosta de fazer móveis em plywood

It's a journey! I've built the collection over a long time. Can build the cabinets with a circular saw if needed

Solid video, Brad! Love the yield of material on the tops. Having 8’ on either side of the saw would be a dream!
