Yep, its nice to see them making an effort like that. They fooled me too but I think that's a credit to them really, this new generation of actresses seem to be really adept at doing different accents!!!
Greta is such a GREAT director, I just can’t believe awards are going to negligence her direction’s work one more year. She deserves so much more!!!!!!
I just saw the movie this afternoon. It was wonderful. And the actor who played Jo reminded me so much of when Megan Follows played Anne of Green Gables in 1985. Another classic role!
Liza Gervais oh I can’t wait to see it! I love your Megan Follows reference. Now I think I’m going to have to go binge watch Anne of Green Gables .. again.Thank you!
Jo Was Played By Saoirse Ronan . She Also In Atonement , Brooklyn , Lady Bird , And Little Women . She Was Nominate For 4 Of This Movie But Always Get Robbed .
"Little Women" has aged very well as it speaks the to universal experiences of young women growing up. The story films well and it is hard to put a foot wrong with it. Each of the film versions have merits and at the end of the day, even if a version falls short, this isn't Shakespeare, so it's no big deal.
little women is by far one of my favorite movies. the way to moves me to be a better person & really love life. life is so precious & i feel that this movie portrays that aspect so, so well. & my favorite line in the whole movie is when jo says: “life is too short to be angry at one’s sister.” this movie just shows that life is so precious.
I LOVE the symphony of sound the sisters make 😭 I love the difference between Laurie’s very quiet, empty but large house, and the girls’ loud, small and warm home.
I watched this movie 3 times in cinema. Every time I watch it, it leaves me with such a warm feeling in my heart. And I get goosebumps every time at Jo's 'But I'm so lonely'. And cry every time she runs down the stairs to find her mum alone at that table. I know I'm going to rewatch it again and again for years to come. I'm probably going to show it to my children. And settle in on a lazy day when I'm 80 to rewatch and reminisce and feel nostalgic. Thank you Greta, and thank you all these fabulous women in this film, for giving us this beautiful warm piece of art.
This is the best adaptation I have ever seen, I personally have something that I can relate with each of them. fighting with my sister, Being stupid in love like Jo when I was younger, swearing not to marry and ended up loving someone so deeply, constantly feeling like Amy that I have wasted all my years "painting".. Emotions are brilliantly displayed to dig out our own memories.
That was an amazing movie imo. I thought the dialogue was amazing and the characters interacted together so well. Literally made me depressed about how unhappy and purposeless my life is when I left the theater.
Loblolly0228 Gaming oh no! Let it be an inspiration for what life CAN be like. Keep feeling the little women spirit in your daily life no matter how different or far from it it may seem right now. 🧚🏼♀️🌸🤗
Wow... Actors really do have the utmost privilege to realize and experience what it truly means to live a meaningful and impactful, beautiful life. Something I’ve always wanted. They are so lucky.
Yes they are. But we are lucky to watch the results of their efforts and talent and be inspired to create a meaningful impactful beautiful life of our own with our unique talents and efforts.🧚🏼♀️💕🌸
would be such a dream cast to work with ! I mean Laura, Emma, Saoirse, Florence.. w/ Meryl !? it's a beautifully poetic piece.. Eliza is simply splendid, along with Timothee's suave charm. just admire them all so and GRETA... where to begin?! she has such a tenacity as a director that manifest such great work. she was snubbed for the best director nom. I mean to not be even nominated !? the story transcends through time in a new light with such justification and respect for the original work. to craft AND direct... her work deserved to be recognized ! brava, to the whole ensemble.
Ohhhhh, how I love Little Women. I've loved this book since I was a child and I also love each cinematic adaptation in a slightly different way. Soooo excited.
I love that the script had those dashes to tell them to talk over eachother, the chaotic symphony of their conversations really made me feel like they were sisters. It made us feel like they were close and comfortable with eachother and not strangers.
I think the best part of the film is that, Me, being a young women living in 2020 when saw this film related so much to these young women who “lived” so many years ago
That's the most beautiful, gorgeous movie I've seen in my entire life, I love the cast, the cinematography, the soundtrack, the plot, the characters, the aesthetic, the vibe, just everything I love it sm my comfort movie
Beth's role is actually the hardest role. Beth's character is essential especially for the climax but because her presence in the novel is kind of lacking compared to the others and her personality is pleasant but doesn't show as many colors as Jo's it's easy to forget and loose connection with hers. Beth is the hardest to play. Greta and Eliza did an amazing job in doing Beth some form of justice. We get to see more layers of the sisters that we were so deprived of. This version actually satiated some inner feelings of incompletion.
saorise ronan u steal d hearts... jo acting is marvelous... cried at end when u find ur partner... florence pugh ur gougeous... jo won d hearts n florence pug wins the title...
I loved the actress playing Beth, she didn't have that many lines but was able to portray Beth's kindness with her eyes.. she's amazing!
You need to see her in Sharp Objects... Completely different role, brilliant actress.
@@paperlilies100 exactly. In love with her expressive eyes.. I dont know, but I m in love with her eyes and her silent look

I'm pretty sure the baby will be one of Meg and John's twins...
I've seriously been trying to find that part but can't seem to spot it 🤔😔😓

Emma is Very beautiful
Truth!! She is stunning 💓💓
Saoirse deserve to get the oscar this year. End of discussion.
Well, no lol she didn't give the best performance.
i like lines wdym?? she was the best Jo I’ve ever seen, I read the whole book right before the I watched this movie and she represented Jo pretty well
Awkwafina, Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron
Although, Saoirse performed really well.
She has just been nominated for best actress
@@Celesteeeee100 it actually depends on her rivals in this year's nominees whether they were better or not, not the previous Jo performances.

Just “OHH”
Its part of the movie (i mean they were in character)
I love how none of the sisters are American and they all have to pretend to be for this movie 😂
