Mr. Gavin, great presentation; I've been using the older versions for more that 10 years and when, for the first time, I opened Pr 2024, I got lost in the woods until I found this informative video. Best Wishes Thank You
locked in the whole time! THANK YOU! I don't know why everyone else tutorials had me even more confused and intimidated. You Brought me back down and cut right to the point! THANK YOUUUUU
Gavin, outstanding video. I am new to all of this, and you made it look easy. Your calm way of explaining all of it and the pace was perfect. You should teach classes on this Premiere Pro 24. I would definitely take them as I would love to learn how to use this program correctly.
Awesome introduction, Gavin. I'm used to working with a far simpler editing program, so just looking at the Adobe workspace was overwhelming. I'm a lot less overwhelmed now. Thank you!
@@GavinHerman Cyperlink PowerDirector. But it's not licensed for commercial use, and I have some future plans so I figured it was time to upgrade my software and my skills. I'm following your longer tutorial now, and it's excellent. Thank you!
@@WriteWriterWrite Oh wow, I haven't even heard of that one! Well I think it's a smart move to invest a bit of time/money to get more out of the software. Hopefully it works out well for you :)
This is a great beginner-friendly intro to Premier Pro! I'm using it now to upskill so I can do some editing for work. I appreciate you taking the time to make this!
Okay...I think I need to bite the bullet and switch from Blender to Premiere. This video just showed me how much easier it is for the things I actually do 😂💖 Thanks!
This was a very useful video and I will go check out more of your videos! (The only thing is that I wish the resolution of this video was a little bit more clear to be more comfortable to watch when showing the steps) Thanks a lot for the tips
Im taking a peek at this for work purposes and am glad to see it has very similar functions to AE which I learned in college but didnt use much elsewhere, makes learning Pro more digestible.
@@toner2421 Glad you found that! Yeah; it’s quite similar to after effects with layer-based compositing which is very nice. Just less mograph, more simple stuff, which is enough for most people.
Thanks for the tutorial. I was intimidated because most reviews advise that the software has a steep learning curve. Think I’ll go ahead and try the 7day trial.
I believe you're talking about the part at 07:32 ? You just need to click the arrow to the left of the stopwatch icon to toggle it down, then you can see the graph!
Thanks! I was looking for a brief introduction to Premiere Pro and this really got me on the way for the minimal editing I am planning to do. Keep it up! :)
I am having a real hard time adjusting to the new shortcuts and stuff. coming from filmora 11, premier pro isn't as user friendly in my opinion. Is there a way to change shortcut keybinds?
At 3:44, how do you duplicate the clip? When I try and move mine across, it drags the whole thing across rather than duplicates it. I can add it again from the B-Roll folder, but can't figure out how to duplicate the clip from the sequence panel like you did. Thank you :)
You can record a voiceover directly in premiere pro if you want, but I usually use OBS. Removing audio you can right click on the track, then select unlink, then the audio will be separate from the video and you can delete it :) let me know if that helps
Hmm, you might not be in the correct workspace? Or you might not have the projects panel open? Not sure though, would probably need to see it to know for sure
Hi I have huge problem with Adobe Premier pro. I have been trying to change the color of groom clothes which was wearing green suits and I decided to change the colors to white bluses and black suit. But unfortunately when the groom started to dance the color of bluse starts to skip what can I do to solve it? Please help me.
Nice one. Thanks for this, never used it before, but just installed ready to use for my game play editing. Do you have any guides on editing for making gameplay or any footage look more professional/movie like? (I guess adjusting saturations etc but more involved?)
That's great and clear Tutorial. Thanks. What about if you upload 60 vids with different noise levels, can you drag all sounds and put like all in same DB?
No worries! Try this... Select your sequence: In the timeline panel, click on the sequence containing your videos. Open the Sequence menu: Go to the top menu bar and click "Sequence." Normalize Mix Track: Scroll down the menu and select "Normalize Mix Track." Set target level: In the pop-up window, enter the desired dB level for the entire mix (all audio tracks combined). -3 dB is a common starting point. Click OK: This will normalize all audio clips in the sequence to the chosen dB level relative to each other.
I loved Your video, currently I am on Davinci. It seems like they are fairly similar. If anything premier is the iphone version of editors while davinci is the android version of editors. It seems like premier they make it easier while davinci is more raw and you do more of the editing. What do You think?
I haven't used Davinci all that much but that might not be a bad comparison. Though, I do think they're quite different simply because of the layer-based vs node-based editing
Wow, this was actually exactly what I needed.. thanks Gavin!
underated channel, great explaination my guy
That is an amazing Tutorial. Thanks for the help Gavin!
So glad it helped you!
Why 10 min? Why not 1?
now you're getting greedy

may i ask what did you click in to remove the white space to save time in 3:34 min
click in the empty space, then hit delete or backspace on your keyboard!

glad it helped you understand :)
How do you get that key frame graph window on the side of your effects window? It doesn’t show it on my screen

I know this video is 8 months, but I learned more with this is 10 minutes than I did in Hitfilm in 2 hours.
Great video man! I keep referring back to it while I'm still learning
I'm happy you're finding it useful!!
Thank you I was searching for the best tutorial forr months.
Glad you found this to be the best!

Great tutorial. Really cut through the B.S so I can get started today. You ROCK!
Really appreciate how direct and to the point your content is .. if you haven’t already could you do a video like this on after effects?
Great video, easy to understand, thank you for taking your time to make this.
I heavily appreciate your time for creating this

Excellent teaching tool!
Glad it was helpful!
What a bloody legend, mate
Great job! Thank you. My preference would be if you showed your completed work after teaching it.
Makes sense, glad you enjoyed and I appreciate the feedback :)
Thank you!
Thanks. I will be checking out more. You have a good and easily understandable presentation.

Thanks for video, you make it higher resolution in the future please (2k)(4K) 1080p - cant see small buttons inside premier pro.
