Yo the blanket and towel is that old school trick people used to do on car dash boards .. it definitely works .
I got rid of my leather pros because the leather got really dry looking even with keep them clean and moisturized. Texas sun is no joke ..
But what really got me was the scuff I got on the upper leather just wouldn’t go away no matter what I did . And the big silver spaces were an eye sore to me when the bags were off ..
But I definitely miss the capacity and fast detach .. but I think when you have custom paint you gotta have hard bags to match .. just looks better in my opinion..

Cant throw over a blanket here in Mohave County Az. We have pretty good winds here almost every day. I use the uv protector. last a little longer in the AZ sun.

100% they fade. Doesn't take 4 years either. In Texas sun it was a single spring and summer. I'm lazy, i don't wanna pull them off and UV protect them every few months so i went with V2H carbon fiber bags.

same thinking here since im in TX as well. spent the extra money for the leather option, I don't mind conditioning them once every quarter or so. the capacity on these i know is going to dominate my old viking extra large baldur bags.

If faded just put some black dye is a spray bottle and dye them black.
