Awesome video, Scott! I love what you've done with the extra solar panels you've had left over. The solar powered golf cart is a great concept and I wish I had one when I'm out on the links. Also, your solar array is huge. Easy on the eyes, and a nice setup. Keep up the great content!

Kool way to use up your leftover panels.

Scott run strut on top of what you already installed along both sides of the panel from front to back. That would tie the racks back together so the stress is not transferred to the panel. It would also protect the panel from someone trying to reach up and grabbing it like a handle.

Makes me think about a piece I watcher about the retirement in Florida The Village's. Golf Carts are king and they have miles of golf cart paths. A person could figure out a universal set up conversion. That's money in the Bank.

Have you ever tried adding a sacrificial anode to that top of a LA battery? I have done it for years to all my vehicles and never once had a corroded terminal. I used to use a penny but with the low copper content now, I switched to a copper washer. I just superglue it to the top center of the battery.

Heck, you could sell those panels to other folks, that have farms, in colder climates. Keeping the chicken coups warm during the winter time. Great idea on the carts! God Bless.

If you have a a/c converter, good for portable power station
Also have a fridge so always have something cool to drink. I'm sure if you do some reviews on products they will send you some.

With growing theft I started working with SEPCO in Florida who makes solar powered with battery store street, and parking lot lights. I am using their system for remote locations and mounting cameras as well as other sensors.
You just need a pole and a battery.
    Also great video as always!

Private application is great, but with the vast majority of these being installed in public areas (tax $) directly connected to LEO's AI with little to zero regulatory constraint, safe to say we are well past the point of mere privacy violation throughout much of the US (looking into actual property crime statistics be damned..)
      this video is great tho!

@@jtmg11 I am working to install them in private parking lots. To basically sell light as a service. This can be a retrofit or new installation.
Also once you have a pole it very easy to install cameras for traffic, security, weather ect, noise, satalite, wifi all to collect data and sell.

Well ironical I last week I was looking into a similar project for my 48 volt buggy. I am live right up the hill in Zirconia NC. I am interesting if you are interested in another "filler Project" to up fit it?

Got 2 36volt carts with big battery lithium batteries with Genasun charge controllers and are having issues with them lasting. I would love to see if you have some insight on what could help us with these. Up the road from you 2 hours in NC.

What are you asking for it?

  • @hoocli

Could you not use optimizers/micro inverters the array would look funky but I would think you would do okay. Although I'm not an expert on mismatched panels by any means

    • @averyjr
      @averyjr Месяц назад

Electrically, Micro inverters technically yes, not sure about optimizers. Physically, it'd be soooper ugly trying to mount a system with a hodgepodge like that.
Golf carts are a great idea
