You can actually have 3 Mics! 2 Wireless and one USB C. So you could have 2 subjects away from the camera on wireless and a directional mic on the camera for either the Vlogger or foreground sound or both (I have a Deity D4-Duo that does both) ! I tested my one☹ wireless Mic 2 with USB mic and it worked.
Hello. Thanks for the great video! I'm trying to connect my wireless mic to DJI Pocket 3 but it won't allow me to set to Stereo in right swipe menu. It's greyed out as Mono. Any suggestions how to set this? Many thanks in advance!
Hi Mr Black, I Just purchased the pocket 3 standard version. I already had the Comica VimoS USB-C Wireless Microphone, and they work great with the DHI POCKET 3. When using both mics together I get true stereo separation and the receiver plugs into the usbC plug on the Pocket 3 perfectly, both the receiver and mics are small and much less noticeable than the DJI 2 mic. I think the sound quality of the Comica mics are great! Thanks for you great videos about the Pocket 3, they are very helpful!
Is that phase shift or just 2 channels? I wonder how Pocket 3 could recognize USB C receiver and mics. I thought P3 USB-C for charging and transfer files only. Do you think if I buy second DJI mic I'll get a stereo on Pocket 3?
Great tips, I did not know about the USB-C to 3.5mm headphone socket adapter functionality of the OSMO, despite the fact that I already had such an adapter. I tried it and it took a few seconds to recognise it and it works well. Interestingly if you set-up two DJI MIC 2 and set the OSMO to stereo, it will automatically revert to mono if you switch off either of the DJI Mic 2 transmitters. The one 'but' that I have noticed is that when the headphone adapter is plugged-in and you do not have any DJI Mic 2 switched-on, you won't hear any sound whilst you are recording. I assume the OSMO thinks that the USB-C interface is also a Microphone 'IN' interface?
Hello, Can you monitor the audio levels on the screen to make sure they’re not clipping? I’d like to use this for a car video, but need to make sure both mics used aren’t going overboard. Thank you
Hey @DannyBlack, how / where can I buy a second mic? (without buying a second creator combo) I can not find it on the DJI site or anywhere else to be bought alone. Thanks in advance!
Hi Super clear video concerns the audio happening. Do you happen to know which audio adapter I need and where I can buy it I tried several, but it didn't work Greetings Janoes filmmaker from Holland
This is a really great feature for using the OP3 as an all-in-one outdoors vlogging solution - one mic on me with NR on for voice pickup, and the other actually on the OP3 for ambient sound and b-roll... then I just have to mix it however I want in post :)

Does the pocket 3 turn the mics off and on automatically? Or do you need to manually turn the mic on and then it will just start and stop the recording internally? And then remember to turn the mics off when done??
Hello mate. Thank you for this and good to be here. My question for you is that I record long-form vlogs and have very annoyingly found that the audio sync slides during the recording (unless I start/stop separate files which doesn’t always suit) …. Have you found this? And I don’t suppose you could advise? Cheers v much, Nick
How do you edit the audio? My DJI Mic 2 sounds muffled. Unlike yours. Low cut and Noise cancelling are already disabled. And I have the 32-bit enabled.
Well now 11 months on, you can have as many mic 2s as you want, I just purchased the osmo pocket 3 creator combo and wanted a second mic for my colleague so editing would be a lot easier on the audio. I love this camera and what it can do foe me as a content creator of woodwork and photography.
Great vid… has anyone else had any problems with the P3 only showing 1/4 screen in some apps? Descript, CueCam? All other cameras work well with those apps, and those cameras work with all other apps too…. But the tiny frames make it unusable in those two apps. Anyone have a settings solution?
Awesome video, answered all of my questions about recording with two mics on the DJI Pocket 3. Thanks! One question: do you notice any delay between the audio vs video when playing back the footage? I have the Pocket 2 and when I use the wireless mic, the audio is usually about 0.5 seconds behind the video so I have to manually adjust. Not sure if that's the nature of Bluetooth latency, or if the issue was eliminated with the Pocket 3 and Mic 2. Let me know your thoughts!
Hi Dan, Do you ever record just a single acoustic music instrument in stereo? I am thinking of buying a 2nd one to record stereo audio (mando, guitar, or uke), maybe without video. Then I will have my own music to use as backdrop to my exercise videos. Do you think that can be done? (Separate MIc 2 is now available!) Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I am curious though how often everyone vlogging about the DJIOP3 go on and on about the internal 32 bit float when the whole point of the ease of having the one and or two DJI mics BT in is that you record directly to the video and not have to pull files off any other device then sync. I mean, if the recording on the actual mics is so important and you want great sound and you still have to pull the files off the mics then why not just use a better separate sound recording system? Seems to me if vlogging about the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 you'd want to really get more into it recording directly and even as you point out L and R channels if you want. I suppose you could say it captures audio if BT fails but seems like this camera has a solid connect and it's not intuitive to set the mic to record internally and to the camera simultaneously. My 2¢.
We have been discussing this on DJIs Pocket 3 group in facebook. Apparently if you record more than about 7 minutes or longer in stereo in this way, the sound will get out of sync with the picture. You may want to do a little digging to see how this issue can be resolved. Great post though.
Hey Danny! Love your content! As a fellow videographer, audio monitoring is key for me. I've been trying to connect my DJI Pocket 3 or DJI Mic 2 to my bone conduction headphones via Bluetooth while recording for wireless audio monitoring. If I purchase the Pocket 3 and the DJI Mic wireless microphones separately, they come with two transmitters/microphones..... So can I connect both mics and use them for a two interview that records to the Pocket 3 and not have to edit them together in post??
So, that's quite cool. Is it also possible to connect an external audio source (e.g. a dj controller) to the Pocket 3 when recording or live-streaming?

Not everything. They can’t fix the highlight issue lol. Color science is off. Lots of clipping and sole ghosting (flare) around lighting with and without the wide angle.
