A couple things to note:
I fought Masanori in the rain with Anemo Traveler. This way I was able to gain bonus swirl damage. Yes, I literally changed the time constantly to fish for rain.

The traveler's elemental skill is like a really bad version of the archons burst

The other skills I can see maybe but raidens burst has literally nothing in common with electro travelers e skill besides element. Hell, raidens e skill has more in common with travelers burst since they both cause lightning strikes when you attack an enemy. But the e skill is completely different.

Here’s the thing: geo lumine is a much much better sub DPS than Zhongli. Damn near twice as good.
@@zenith.17 there’s also the fact that when electro lumine and raiden r unavailable to a player, there best batteries for there geo main DPS is pretty well tied between geo lumine and yun Jin. Both provide a solid amount of geo particles with there skills on a relatively short CD.
But kinda the main point of why I compared them 2 is cuz I’ve seen many ppl build Zhongli as a sub DPS instead of a shielder.
Ive tried using electro lumine as a physical dps by combining her electro atks along with a cryo unit like rosaria/diona and fischl for extra energy. It can work, but i still think geo traveler is best. And anemo lumine is a good option for vv support if you dont have any other anemo units
Same here i use electro traveler for physical dps. I use qiqi with sac sword for superconduct. And use yunjin buff for more damage. So my team is Aether qiqi yunjin zhongli(for shield and res shread)
My electro aether with no buffs or team resonances does like 16k charged atks with aquila favonia 25% physical dmg and 18% atk artifacts and physical goblet. My crit ratio is only 60/140 and could have better cr and cd if i got a better sands

And also r5 sac sword still has a 16 sec long cooldown which doesn't align with electro traveller. So it's a waste, to put it on her than xingqui but obvs if u wanna, it's a good option

Also why everyone keeps using Qiqi with Sac? she can't proc it off field, and keeping her on field to reset the E is a waste of time, dmg and healing because most of her healing comes from her talisman, better use an ATK based or even the Prototype if you have it R5 to maximize healing as much as you can (I recommend in order Clam, Millelith or Noblesse full sets)
@@shinyyordle9233 ....you are aware that even with r5 sac sword......electro traveller does not go good with it since the cooldown doesnt line up. It has 3 seconds of delay between them which is the recipe for a messed up rotation.
And also people run qiqi with sac for full uptime and just switching in the middle is enough to proc it esp at r5 but even at r1 its good since qiqis cd is so long, but yeah there are better options such as flute or even favonuis or aquilla or any attack weapon.
I know that Geo traveler is strongest, but I like anemo traveler the most so far. I wish we could keep her ult in one spot without needing great placement.

If the devs made anemo traveler's burst travel a bit and stopped at a certain distance, it would be so much better. Somehow it would be like venti who needs to back a bit if they want to place the burst perfectly at the center.
If they just make the burst stops when hitting an enemy and sucks nearby enemies it will be perfect
Imagine if the tornado stayed where you cast it like kazuha's E. It'd be more consistent for sure.
I agree the anemo one is the most fun and I dont like geo traveler that much and electro is meh
geo mc is so underrated, i use him as a sub dps/battery for noelle and he does so much damage while providing crit rate and energy for her with quick rotations. theyre niche, but they work exceptionally well where they work

Do you think geo mc is better support for noelle/itto than ningguang? idk which one to lvl up for itto team
I used to run geo MC as battery for my dps Noelle, but since I got Gorou, he's much better. Gorou generates a bit less energy but his skill is less annoying than the geo balls and he gives bonus def, bonus def for Noelle means bonus damage.
@@tobito0 I have a preference for geo Traveler because of the crit boost but Ningguang is a much better battery and also offers a geo buff if you pass through her screen. Ningguang is also a stronger sub dps.
They asked for a comparison of Geo MC and Ningguang for a Noelle or Itto Team. I'd personally say go for Geo Traveler over Ningguang as support. Geo MC with a high refinement favonius sword takes care of your team's energy needs and 4 piece noblesse obliged provides a nice extra buff for the team.
Ningguang is a little easier as battery and she can act as a solid burst support as well.
They both are viable, but I'd stick to MC because of the extra crit rate. Unless you have Gorou. He is the best Geo Support, especially for Itto.

When i was still playing traveler, i always thought anemo is best. I saw geo might do bigger hits but anemo swirling other elements did more damage at lower levels. I hated using geo traveler so much, enemies always get on top of rocks and then you have to climb to hit them.

i actually used to like using geo traveler. not that i didn’t like any of the other ones, i just thought it was a strong element, i didn’t need a certain element to kill an enemy, and didn’t mind having to climb the rocks.
electro traveler can pair with a cryo unit for superconduct, letting you get some pretty respectable physical dps, rather than just... doing nothing at all different for the "shenanigans" showcase
a team like ele-traveler/[cryo of choice]/zhongli/yunjin or bennett works pretty great. could potentially sub out zhongli for xinyan (for pyro resonance instead of geo and roughly similar dps increase, but markedly flimsier shield)
Traveler is also somewhat decent with 4p TF and Xingqui for faster E resets which does decent damage

I feel like DPS electro lumine is meant to be the physical attacker of the bunch. prolly shoulda given her a physical damage cup and a cryo teamate if you're gonna give geo lumine resonance.

Can you make a “fun teams to use” video. A video with fun and different team comps because i know there is a lot of burnt out players and trying some new teams with characters you usally dont use would make the game more exciting

Kind of hard to define that, though. Fun varies from person to person, and there's also a matter of what it can accomplish. One person might find an all shorties team fun, but, well, they don't exactly have great synergy together. And keep in mind that IWinToLose likes speed-running, so power is probably a pretty big factor in what he considers fun, as opposed to, say, rolling around in combat with Sayu.
Anyway, one fun one I've been enjoying is Noelle, Xinyan, Albedo, and Yae Miko. Geo resonance, shielding, BP weapon for Xinyan. Yae's turrets interact with the DoT from Xinyan's burst. And with Albedo and Yae, there's some nice off field damage happening. Not the most effective team, I have, but I do find it fun, despite Xinyan's janky kit (really wish she had a hold E option that would give her elemental skill the burst's DoT).
Another I've been enjoying recently is Diona, Shenhe, Ningguang, and Albedo. Again, shielding + geo resonance. My Ning rocks the Verity (she can trigger the stacks super easy/fast, thanks to her C2), so she hits pretty hard for a four star. Shenhe is there because mine is C2 (so long duration burst) and her hold E buffs elemental skill and burst DMG. And, of course, she'll add damage to both her own cryo damage and Diona's.
Fun is subjective so that's impossible to do.
I actually use Geo Lumine for my Hu Tao double Geo vape team. That's mostly because I don't have Albedo, but I genuinly like having a viably built Traveler in my arsenal.
She uses an R5 Favonius Sword and Noblesse Obliged and provides a reliable buff because of that. Also the extra crit rate she gives to the team isn't terrible either.

@@fafka1445 I'd have to level up her, her talents and the artifacts for that, since I don't really play catalyst characters. That's a little too much investment for now, right now I'm still farming hard on two artifact sets, that would be a lot of "wasted" resin at the moment.
My Hu Tao has the baseline 100 EM, would that 120 EM boost be valid enough? Between 100 EM and 220 EM should be a boost of roughly 20% reaction damage am I right?
Traveler is doing good work for now and my team manages a 36* abyss anyway.
I'll give it some thought though, thanks fot the suggestion.
Atk bonus from TTDS is not really big for Hu Tao coz she have low base atk. Additional crit rate from geo traveler looks better I think.
4pc Instructor duration is low+the wearer needs to trigger reaction for the effect.
And dont forget the low base atk
For electro lumine shenanigans, you could have had teammate(s) pick up the purple things on the ground to reduce her skill cooldown.

An incredible traveler buff or something that would just make trav more fun is if you could use different element travelers in the same team. Considering canon traveler will eventually be able to use all elements simultaneously in canon Genshin lore, I think it's fair enough that we get to use 4 (3 for the time being) in-game.
I just really like the idea of traveler being able to combo with themself. For instance, Anemo Traveler's burst could probably be easier to use on large enemies when paired with Geo Traveler's skill and burst. I think it'd give people more incentives to try building traveler.
Edit: I'm thinking one of the ways Hoyoverse can do this is that after we reunite with our twin we can have them in our party as a different or maybe even the same element as our Traveler. It'll definitely be a long time before we get there though.

The depressing version could be that your twin dies, and you inherit his/her power, granting you the ability to choose Skill and Burst independently, but at the cost of no longer having an element of your own, thus limiting party setups to one resonance.
Also, dual-element Traveler would probably still only be okay. Considering the powercreep even on the overworld, Traveler has problems just keeping up with Inazuma's mobs - being able to basically solo-setup reactions would still result in disappointing numbers due to bad scaling. So, I think it's very possible for Traveler to get such a feature.
Fun fact: Lumine deals more damage than Aether with her sword charged attk, don’t remember by how much, but then again it won’t matter that much since you mostly gonna use her E and Q, which deal the same amount of damage as Aether’s, thus making her better in battle since he dashes further away when dodging, still Lumine is the better option due to sheer face expressions. Hail to the pouting queen!
lumine is the best mc for me. I level her 90 and got god artifacts on her with misplitter. 80 crit rate and 180 crit damage. All thats left is to max out her talents.

It help me keep distance with enemies and dodge enemies attack easier
(Lumie have 12% charge attack dmg higher than Aether but i dont like use traveller charge attack because it costed Stamina make me sometime run out stamina to dodge and it isnt deal much dmg)
it is so miniscule it really doesn't change the damage number by much
also having a farther dash is almost always more useful, including combat
faster walking speed is also just better cause you won't be in combat with traveler much anyway
also aether is hot and we need more husbandos

Electro traveler's Q, which comes with delayed electro application perfect to act as reaction triggers, actually makes EM build great on her. I feel like the dev purposedly butchered the multipliers so we can look into electro reaction as main source of dmg.

Pretty sure you can shorten Electro Lumine's E skill cooldown by switching her out and then have other characters pick up the amulets.
That said, wouldn't an EM reaction based Electro Lumine technically deal better damage?

You can reduce electro lumine's cd with anemo resonance in the team! That might help her enough to make a difference.

@@pepegawarfare2843 it is viable, but you have to have the right team comp. C2 Chongyun not only helps reduce it further, but also imbues your sword with cryo while you are waiting for your CDs
geo traveller is best traveller. I guess they put more thought into her kit since there weren't a lot of geo characters at that time so I hope they will make an ok dendro traveller when it gets released. Anemo traveller would be a decent alternative to other anemo if her burst could stay in place. I don't know what to say about electro traveller, she's a Raiden without the damage and without the ability to battery herself, long cooldown, high cost burst etc., there's just no reason to use her imo At least geo can open to resonance, battery and provide crit rate and anemo can use the vv set and add some damage.

I myself still use Anemo MC for story quests and exploration because of anemo resonance and grouping plus a little healing from their passive. Yes Geo MC has bigger dps but i don't like the rock they put mostly interuppting and heck Electro MC subjectively has a long skill cd for one hit skill.
And yes I do think Anemo is the og Traveler than any other element
and lore wise, we see traveler has more of a connection with Mondstadt in general

Due to the update delay, I've revisited my Lumine and appreciate her Geo version more.

For the life of me I don't understand why they made the Traveler so weak no matter the element. I don't necessarily want them to be stronger than the other characters but I at least want to be able to use the Traveler without feeling like I'm going through hoops to do it. My favorite element for the Traveler had always been Anemo and when Inazuma came out I was looking forward to using electro which used to be my favorite element but when I finally saw the gameplay for the electro Traveler I was disappointed.
Honestly if every new element is just gonna be a weak gimmick with not a lot of damage output then I don't see the point of looking forward to anything new for the Traveler, I also wish they didn't force you to have to level up your normal attacks between elements, there are at least 7 elements and if I'm gonna have to level the normal attack for each one whenever a new one comes out I'm gonna be upset to say the least.
Free character, obviously. It's the same with Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa. They want you to get into the gacha, not clear everything comfortably with the default cast. That's also why Noelle is the beginner's promo character: during early-to-midgame, her shield+heal makes her incredibly useful, and she's rather easy to build. But you still need to pull to get her, so the bait is cast.
they don't force you tho? it's like saying "i have to level up bennett and miko's NA" you can just farm for the E and Q??
@@softjytsu That's not my point though, what I mean is that they shouldn't have made the normal damage between different elements different since it just mean more grinding for the same thing. Beside I prefer to get more mileage out of my characters rather than just using them as a gimmick. An example of what I mean is: Barbara is mainly a healer but if setup right she can become a fairly good dps too. While it all just comes down to player preference I still stand by what I said, if you don't care about normal attack damage then yeah you can ignore it.
In defense of Geo Traveller, They actually somewhat decent Geo Sub DPS and a good CC.
Sure they are nowhere near Albedo, but they can still hit hard.
My Geo traveller can do 27k Skill, 11k Per tick Burst (no buff) and up to
57k Skill, and 27k per Tick Burst with only Bennett and Geo Pyro Resonance.
Their Burst can actually help to group enemies and especially useful for Maguu Kenkii.
Geo only weakness is enemy can get stand on top of the Rock. But then again, it can easily avoided by properly positioning it, which wouldn't even take a sec.
Since in the story the traveller keeps getting stronger, it may sync up with the progression of the story. Like later traveller elements may be stronger. I mean I see that electro was a step down from Geo, but we only have 3 elements for traveller atm and there will be like 7 so. Also, I've heard tell of a "light" element that the traveller may be able to harness, which while very far away could be very sick

Have you tried using Anemo Lumine with an Instructor's Set, then using other characters who can apply elemental dmg off-field (Fischl, a Cryo field burst character, Xiangling, Mona etc.), and then using her elemental skill to swirl all of them together?
I call it Lumine's 5-Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique. I did it a long time ago when I was very low level to kill the regisvines faster. I wonder what it could do with higher level characters and more investment...
I wanna see that as well. I think it would be better with VV set though.

Mistsplitter is actually better for traveler than Jade cutter, especially anemo and geo traveler since the last attack of their normal attacks do geo/anemo damage, allowing by you to fully use the mistsplitter passive on anemo and geo mc.
It's usually not worth it to do the full auto combo just for the mistsplitter passive

In the closing statements, when you said "in terms of raw dps" I was expecting "we have no raw dps" to end the phrase
I use electro traveler in an overload comp with yoimiya. Build is triple EM with as much ER I can get from the weapon and artifact substats. It does respectable damage, especially when pyro is swirled by an anemo unit with viridescent venerer beforehand. The ER utility also helps traveler and yoimiya (w/ shimenawa) get their bursts back faster. Definitely not the strongest, but I do have fun playing with it.

Favonius Sword Geo traveler definitely worths the investment. That’s the one I use to progress through story quests.
I often went sacrificial sword on all of them. Worked really well, especially for electro

Yeah this is the first video of his that I’m not a fan of. You can’t say “shenanigans to make them stronger” and then not even do superconduct or overloaded reactions
Exactly cause I've done 15-20k overloads with electro travelers normal attack while using her burst.
Its sadly true, how they intentionally made the traveler a bad character, considering how each of their other 5 star counterparts fix their problems, like anemo travelers burst should be like Ayaka's burst, it get stuck on enemies, or big enemies, electro traveler is attempting to be like Raiden Shogun, geo traveler is a really great mode, and they do offer great utility with them being a p good battery, and a small bump in crit rate while in their burst, but the geo constructs are just so annoying, really wish they dont make the other traveler modes as terrible, but thats wishful thinking
Free characters don't bring Hoyoverse money. That's why they made Traveler's kit bad compared to even 4 star character despite the Traveler being 5 star character themselves.

Its ok. With the release of the dendro element soon. Lumine would probably be the best if not at least top 3 dendro character for a while. (Until she gets powercrept)
Considering we will probably only have Traveler and one other dendro character for 3.0, they will at least be 2nd best for a patch.

ive always found the travelers as really good supports, like electro trav with 200 ER and fav sword can battery xiao from 0 energy to max from trav E>pick up>double xiao E. and yes i do ignore the burst in this case.
anemo wise, if you know the spawn patterns, its a decent group tool. but if you have venti and/or sucrose its still not even a contest
Nice video, as a traveler main i loved it. I personnaly play my traveler with, Mona Benett and Zhongli. And woth some very decent artifacta giving him some nice 78% crit rate and 205% crit damage and 2680 attack power from a 2 petra, 2 gladiator build. My travaler sends some insane nukes. I sometime like to use Geo Aether in a Mono-Geo Comp with Itto Gorou and Zhongli (since I don’t have Albedo sadly) and oh my gosh, those rocks pack a punch and really resonate easily with Zhongli’s pillar. The other two are easily outclassed by my reasonably well built Sucrose and Fischl, but it is fun to try them out from time to time. :)

I don’t think traveler is that bad to be honest but the problem with anemo is that u need zhongli to do alot of dmg and geo traveler is just good in dps and basically a all rounder but electro traveler has a extremely long cd
You didn't use the strongest traveler. Cryo Traveler...which is just Anemo traveler in the cryo set with Chungyun, Shenhe, and Ideally Kazuha for VV. Fun fact for those who don't know, regardless of other elements in play, Anemo traveler always absorbs cryo first, all other anemo characters prioritize pyro.

In the regisvine with shenanigans, you might be able to bring a cryo applicator with your shockingly purple Lumine for superconduct for the normal and charge attacks. It might shave off a few seconds.

This is a 5 star character too, let's hope that they fix the traveller before full completion of the game to match other 5 stars especially considering the twins seem canonically very powerful
They won't. She might be a five star, but she'll always be balanced toward the power level of a four star, and typically on the weaker side of four stars. She's the unit there to make sure people always have access to the needed element for puzzles in that element's domain. The reason why is simple: she's free, and Mihoyo wants you to spend money.
@@Axterix13 yes exactly. I roll my eyes whenever players are yelling mihoyo needs to "buff" free characters like aloy, traveler and the rest of the cast. They're not stupid and not generous. They're never going to give smth op for free. They want players to spend moneyyyy.

Ummm..... isn't Geo Traveler getting an unfair advantage because she is benefiting from Geo Resonance with Zhongli also being on the team? Anemo and Electro Traveler do not get Geo Resonance's 15% DMG increase nor the 20% Geo RES debuff to enemies.
Not unfair because having that elemental resonance is part of their elemental kit and is advantage of having that particular element.

It is a bit unfair, yes, particularly for the electro one. If you are using Geo Traveler as damage, you'll pretty much always run geo resonance, as he says. So figuring that in makes sense (and this why the geo traveler did fine against the geo boss). But the unfairness of it is that, if you are using Electro Traveler as a main DPS, you're probably always running either a cryo (for super-conduct) or anemo (for VV debuff), the same way a geo traveler will always have another geo along.

I feel Electro Traveler is better off as a physical dps rather than electro.
So you did not hold the skill for the anemo at the start you instead quick cast it. That is one of the biggest reasons why the time was so long. On another note if you have the sacrificial sword anemo traveler will certainly be faster than all of the others.
Pressing anemo traveler's skill is more dps efficient. You're talking about a loss of some 45% scaling ticks of swirl for being able to cast a slightly lower damage version 3x as often.
@@ryandugan9176 @Ryan Dugan Okay. I can prove you wrong to some degree with one fight in paticular. The Masanori fight is a clear example of how holding the skill would have changed how it went. If you watch at 7:30 - 7:45 when they quick cast their skill there, you can see the damage difference. Looking at the end of the fight too, you can see that if they would have held the quick cast earlier, he would have died at least a few seconds earlier.
To that effect, if he had the sacrafical sword equip at all every fight would have gone differently with Aenmo traveler. The biggest reason why Geo traveler was so much faster in virtually every test is because GEO res was used in nearly all cases, with Zhonglis pillar to add damage with constructs. For a free player, this is a terrible DPS showcase.
So for electo traveller if you pick up the marks with another character it reduces the cooldown for the elemental skill, so you could have casted the skill swap and pick up the marks, then swap back to have the skill sooner
Problem is using her skill doesn't generate energy. And picking up the orbs only provides energy for the character picking them up. So if you don't pick up the orbs with Lumine, you hamper her ability to use her burst. One of the worst parts of her design, and part of why he says that she needs a battery to battery.

One redeeming thing for Anemo MC is that they prioritize cryo swirls, unlike the other anemos who prioritize pyro. This can be pretty useful for shield shredding like in 12-2-2, but ig that's kinda it.
I was so excited to use Electro MC, but was severely disappointed when I realized a decently built 80/90 MC was outperformed by a randomly built level 20 C1 Fischl. The energy regen, offield damage, support ability. Literally every part of it was done better by Fischl, and I know for a fact my build for her was literally just atk and a passable crit ratio.
Before I finish the video I'll bet on geo.

Ventis burst into traveler burst appears to work well for smaller characters as shown by your video.
Zhongli pillars and Geo Traveler works amazing.

My Geo traveler hits pretty good for not that high investment. With Mistsplitter his crits on his skill and burst are around 15-19k and 25-30k respectively. Being a Geo battery for my Itto is also a huge plus

Unfortunately MC at C6 is a mere shadow of a 5* character. Many 4* C0 are better than him in many cases. MiHoyo wasted so much potential on him, maybe one day the Pyro or Cryo MC will be a great unit to play. But I highly doubt that.
I imagine cryo and pyro to be the last 2 elements released, which, accounting for power creep, might actually make Traveler more powerful then a lot of earlier characters? Maybe

So at the beginning programmers didn't knew how strong later characters would be, once they released new characters she stayed behind. (Similar to Diluc nowadays) they kinda fixed it in her Geo form, now it feels like a 5 star and for her electro form they just nerfed just because
While I like MC it still feels like 4 star. Almost all c6 5 star chars are game changing while at c6 MC just works.

Xingling, Xingqiu, Bennett have been OP since 1.0 and is still OP now. The latest character Atato is a sidegrade to Childe, who’s one of the first characters added to the game. Ganyu, Hu Tao, Zhongli, Venti were all added over a year ago and are still S tier. People keep believing in the myth that new characters powercreep old characters lol.
@@Aliens1337 In fact there is powercreep. Fortunately its slow. exampes - Diluc, Hutao, Venti - Kazuha, Xinqui porbably Yellan, Razor - Eula, Bennet is beggining to be slightly nerfed by Def chars and supports like Shenhe, Fichsl - Rayden and even Yae, Noelle - Itto etc.
