Great video! Informative, well researched, and great variety of artists and styles that demonstrate many different aspects of the palette. Thank you and keep these coming, they are a joy to watch.
Much appreciated! So happy that you found some value in this. I wish I had access to some of the historic palettes that are hanging in the art clubs in NYC. There are some really great assortments that many people have never seen. Thanks again.
Thank you so much. Supper happy that you got something out of this. The history of painting can be really interring. Some many little things get discovered as you research the artist you admire. Best wishes.
You're right about the Thalo Blue and green, I use them both sometimes but I actually use the student quality because the artists are too strong and cause accidents. A little goes a long way even in the student brands.
Thanks so much for sharing this video. I truly appreciate how you broke down the history of color. Perfect timing for me as I continue my creative journey.
The Raft of the Medusa painting is not by Delacroix, but by Théodore Géricault. And the theory that Zorn extensively used a limited palette has been more than disproven by chemical analysis of his paintings. And Munsell is not Muncell... etc

This video is so informative & easy to understand. Love the references too-it’s like going to the museum. 🤩
Thank you so much. Really happy you enjoyed seeing the images. Really make me want to go to a museum after researching all of those images.

Totally useless ramble that never deals with logic of colours on the palette.
