    Love this , guys !
So appreciate the clarification of the message of Everlasting Life that forever quenches the thirst for eternity (John 3:16,4:10-14,5:24,6:28-47 & Ephesians 2:8-9) .

Nope, he missed the point.......GES believes you are saved by a dead faith, not an obedient faith and the works of Eph 2 are works of the Law, not of faith. Heb 11:8 " By faith Abraham obeyed...."

Faith is belief, i.e. the conviction or persuasion that a proposition is true. Saving faith is the conviction or persuasion that the saving proposition is true. The saving proposition is that every person who believes in Jesus has everlasting life.

Jesus the disciples and Paul never preached to he persuaded. That's a man-made teaching.
      They preached repentance
      Amp Mark 1:15
and saying, “The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent [change your inner self--your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, abiding trust] in the good news [regarding salvation].”
Acts 2 is the say of pentecost which is the start of the church.
It was the first time in church where some asked how to be saved.
John was also there and he didn't say to wait till I write my gospel in 60 years.
      Acts 2:37-41
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart [with remorse and anxiety], and they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what are we to do?” 38And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinfull ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is for you and your children and for all who are far away [including the Gentiles], as many as the Lord our God calls to Himself.
” 40And Peter solemnly testified and continued to admonish and urge them with many more words, saying, “[Be saved from this crooked and unjust generation!”
41So then, those who accepted his message were baptized; and on that day about 3,000 souls were added [to the body of believers].
      Read verse 41 again.
      Acts 3:19
So repent [change your inner self--your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God--seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]
      Acts 11:18
When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified and praised God, saying, “Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance that leads to eternal life [that is, real life after earthly death].”
      Acts 17:30
Therefore God overlooked and disregarded the former ages of ignorance; but now He commands all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives],
      Acts 20:21
solemnly [and wholeheartedly] testifying to both Jews and Greeks, urging them to turn in repentance to God and [to have] faith in our Lord Jesus Christ [for salvation].
      Acts 26:18-20
to open their [spiritual] eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness and release from their sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified set apart, made holy) by faith in Me.’
19 So, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision
20 but I openly proclaimed first to those at Damascus, then at Jerusalem and throughout the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent [change their inner self--their old way of thinking] and turn to God, doing deeds and
living lives which are consistent with repentance.

There is no such thing as saving faith! The entire church is apostate, and there are no Christians in the church. Only the blind, the lost, the deceived, and the vessels of wrath made only to be destroyed.

"Faith" is a heavily abused word. People get away with saying "true faith" but what would we understand if someone said "true belief"? We would understand it as conviction that something is true. Not so with the former. Generally, we should read belief in place of faith - belief is more difficult to abuse and play games with than "faith".

    The case is circular..
The issue really is what the Greek word "Pistis" meant in its Greo-Roman world. I don't think the NT is a dictionary on Koine Greek alone.. comparing scriptures to find the meaning of a word is only relevant if there aren't other sources that use the word.
The scholar Teresa Morgan from Yale Dibinity School has in fact done that

The object of true saving faith is Christ Himself. We are to believe IN HIM. It is more than just giving mental assent to a verbal proposition. To understand faith, read Hebrews chapter 11.

Is "Saving Faith" More Than "Mental Assent"? - Bob Wilkin
      ruclips.net/video/SbcC_4m2moE/видео.html
What is "Saving Faith"? Is Saving Faith simply a persuasion, mental assent or conviction of the truth of the saving message, whoever believes in Jesus has everlasting life? Does Saving Faith require more than mental assent? Does Saving Faith require an additional step of commitment, obedience, or decision? Bob Wilkin of the Grace Evangelical Society answers these questions and clears up the confusion regarding what is "Saving Faith".

What on earth does "Christ Himself" denote other than the Totality of His revealed Nature and Character , as expressed in the only means of being born again with irreversible Everlasting Life:
      John 1:12-13,3:1-18,4:1-39,5:24,6:28-47,10,11:23-27,20:31 .
Totally apart from all behavioral performance (works) :
      Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6,29 ; Titus 3:5 ; Philippians 3:9 ; book of Galatians .
Jesus makes it clear enough that little children can easily understand and believe in Him FOR His doubtless Guarantee , instantly having irrevocable Life at that moment .
Cuz He cannot lie to the little ones .
No better news , ever .

I think what Jesus meant by "whosoever liveth" is that this "believing" can only be done by the living and a dead unbeliever cannot believe. And just like any other kind of believing it is a perpetual state or else it is no longer believing. Can't hold me accountable for having believed something that i no longer believe. John 11:23 shows that if you die as a believer you shall live; therefore if you die as an unbeliever you shall NOT live. These are both true regardless of what you believed in the past but no longer believe.

Every true Christian is sealed with the Holy Ghost and is sure of what he believes because it is the Holy Ghost that teaches him what is written in the Bible. A true Christian prays for the true salvation of others both those who claim to be Christians and those who believe not in Jesus.

According to GES, a saving faith is that once you have been saved, you can do whatever you want and you will still be saved.
You can walk in darkness, walk after the flesh and disobey the Lord's commands and you will have a saving faith. No repentance, confession, prayer or baptism are necessary.
We are saved by faith, an obedient faith, not a dead faith and we become children of God by faith when we are baptized into Christ, when we put Christ on, Gal 3:26-27. So, you guys go enjoy your saving faith, walk in darkness, walk after the flesh......you will still be saved, according to GES.

@@GESvids You believe it takes about 3 seconds to believe and that is it, you do not have to do anything else mentioned in scripture and you will still be saved, according to GES.
Jesus said that " Repentance and remission of sins to be preached in his name would begin in Jerusalem, Luke 24:47. This happens in Acts 2 and after Peter preaches the first gospel sermon, they asked " what must we do?" and Peter said, " Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins", and when they did so, it says that the Lord added them to the saved. This is what you MUST DO to be saved and as Gal 3:26-27 says that we become children of God by faith when we have been baptized into Christ, when we put Christ on.
We know that baptism in the name of Jesus is water baptism by reading Acts 10:47-48, Peter asked, " Can any one forbid water? and he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus.
In Col 2:12-14 it says that when you are baptized, you are buried/raised up through faith in the working of God......God makes us ALIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM AND FORGIVES US ALL OUR TRESPASSES, this goes with Acts 2, baptized for the remission of sins, this is how you are saved.
And in Col 3:1 it says that after you have been raised up with Christ, we are to seek the things above, not things on this earth......

@@GESvids No, according to the doctrine of OSAS, you do not have to continue to believe to be saved. You can have an " Evil and a unbelieving heart that causes you to fall away from the living God", Heb 3:12 and GES believes you will still be saved. And you can " Depart from the faith and give heed to doctrine of demons", 1 Timothy 4:1, and GES believes you are still saved. You can walk in darkness, lie and believe not the truth, 1John 1:6 and you can walk after the flesh, commit adultery, fornication, even murder, Romans 8, never repent or confess your sins, and GES believes you will still have heaven as your home, even though it says that those who do the works of the flesh, will not inherit the kingdom of God!!
So, as I have said before, according to GES, you can believe for about 3-6 seconds and you will have eternal life and there is nothing else for you to do in the entire bible. Do I have to repent? confess? pray? baptism? walk in the light? walk after the Spirit? obey the Lord's commands? Love the Lord? Love my brother/sister in Christ? ACCORDING TO GES, NO YOU DO NOT!!!!! for if you do, you are trying to earn your salvation.....
