With its rugged looks the SX4 is an attractive, and practical alternative to a regular family hatch. While the SX4 is only marginally bigger than a Ford Fiesta, it manages to feel a class above it with crossover styling and a rugged, well built feel.
Our car has the 106bhp, 1.6 litre, petrol engine, mated to a 5 speed gearbox. I have always found these powerplants to be both reliable and capable and it is a very quiet and smooth car. The interior is very appealing with plenty of storage space and some nice interior details. On the road, the SX4 performs superbly. The handling is sure-footed and visibility is excellent. 1.6 petrol engine is a solid performer, both around town and on the motorway. The comfort level in this car is superb, with the tall body meaning there is plenty of head and knee room for both front, and rear seat passengers. We have always found Suzukis to be superbly reliable over the years - an SX4 is therefore a car you can purchase with the head, as well as the heart.
