No honestly this song really helped me get through the dark moments. It’s like… admitting you feel that way and that other people have felt that way before.
And when you realize just how NOT alone you are in this kind of thinking.... That makes it easier to accept reality and push forward.
This. It helped me realize I didn’t have to take those intrusive thoughts seriously. Like I could put this happy tune in my head and let those thought do their thing without feeling the need to let them win

The beat is the outward appearance of someone with depression. The lyrics are the inward feelings they actually have and don't show. Very relatable to anyone how has suffered depression or attempted.

That confused look is what everyone is like when they first turn on this song. When people think "Hollywood Undead" they think loud, rowdy music. But what a lot of people don't know is that they're actually pretty dang versatile and can switch up their genre really easily without losing quality. This song...is haunting to say the least.
If you want to hear a pseudo sequel to this song by them, "I'll Be There" from their album "Day of the Dead" is a semi-follow up to this song.
I got their first two albums put on the jukebox in my local pub a few years ago, people's faces when I put this one on were a real picture! Haha
The song is the portrail of depression. It's a happy tune but the lyrics are dark and truthful. Hollywood undead has never been a band for fame and fortune, but one to write lyrics about the truth of mental health, that of which those who deal with the shit, feel some light and relief. That's what metal and "emo" is about. This will forever be one of my favorite songs and I'll always sing along with a smile on my face 🙂 at least I'm singing, right?

HU was a pretty damn big band back in the day and still have a large fanbase. Touring with papa roach and FIR, that’s pretty fucking good. But I agree about the rest

This is always such a perfect song because the people that you lose always appear the happiest at their worst times. The joy you get knowing its all over is expressed a well on this song. Amazing vid as always ✨
mmhmm. I think it's pretty much meant to be that way. Think several of the band members have said they've dealt with these sorts of intrusive thoughts before and have lost people to this... unfortunately. Also love the song "I'll be There" by Hollywood Undead as well, kind of a follow up to this track about losing a loved one suddenly and what comes after.

I love this song. It hits the same as "Jump" by Van Halen. The tempo and intonation makes it sound like such a happy song, but once you get into the actual words the song becomes a mind game.

The little girl at the end is the daughter of one of the band members oddly enough! I remember listening to this song on repeat in middle school, just wanting to end it all, I’m really thankful I made it past those days. It’s been 10 years since then, and I’ve lived long enough to bring a beautiful son into this world, so I’m very thankful, this song still brings on so many emotions though.

A friend of mine in high school introduced me to Hollywood Undead, in science class in ninth grade. The first song I ever listened to was Undead. It was an experience. Needless to say this song bring back memories
I remember them pulling this one out at the end of their concert years back, thousands singing this is in harmony was equally as uplifting as bizarre.
But that's how it is. You try to put up a front that everything is cheerful and happy, but underneath is the words.
It's a deep song but your expressions made me laugh when you clocked what it was about... I do listen to this song a few times a week comes on random shuffle
They released this song years ago during suicide awareness month to show how on the out side you can seem happy and upbeat but if u look deep into someone like if u read the lyrics u can see the hurt and sadness in the person

After the lost of my son. I was in that dark place and thought about it. Thankfully me and my wife had each other and all our work families coming to us to talk and let us have our space and constantly letting us know that their here for us. This was supposed to be our first holidays with him but instead he's watching over us and we're just gonna continue to be the light for each other at the end of this dark tunnel
I have struggled with deep depression for the majority of my life and sent to the hospital twice because of the topic of this song. As a survivor I can say that therapy seriously does work. It may take a month it may take a year it may take 5 but no matter what you are going through, every human being has the strength to make it through the dark. There are so many things you have yet to experience in this world. Whoever may be reading this, I know you know pain. Pain like you never imagined you could feel and you have survived this long. As he says, talk to someone. The pain of talking through your situations and struggles doesnt hurt anymore than the pain you have lived through everyday but as you talk to someone and start to work through it all, you will notice the pain ease. Slightly at first but it builds and builds. You can do this

Love this song so much lol it's literally just a happy sounding song about a super dark topic. 😄 it was written after soooo many upbeat happy-go-lucky songs came out, so Hollywood Undead wrote their own lol to like this song means you get what The Undead Army is about. For some of us, this is the help we got, it's alright we're gonna be OK. You should try listening to Hourglass, Renegade, Coming Home, or Your Life, Heart Of A Champion is great too. Just chill, emo isn't dead.

I think the end of the song with the child singing is sort of a remembrance of how innocent when we where kids. When we thought about jumping off high things we wanted to fly but when we got older it change to wanting to off ourselves. It’s crazy how something that starts of so innocent can turn into something dark.
