Bob, thank you so much for taking the time to produce such an informative video detailing the Tri-State kit build. You've done a fantastic job in building the kit, and it's rewarding for me to see someone enjoy it as you have. Please keep the ITLA builds going !! Nick@ITLA
Excellent kit and modeling. the only comment I can make is for the HVAC unit and fans on the roof. these should set on curbs about a foot high. Duct and pipe penetrations will also be flashed.
Bob: Have you ever used a computer power supply to light up buildings. I understand there various voltage outputs from 3 volts, 9 volts and 12 volt? Great video.Great build. I like the design tat you did being able to back in a car into the building. I also have this kit that I am hoping to build. I have a self designed large building I have to finish once I get some my health issues resolved. Nick was a great help in supplying me what I needed to build my design. Great support from ITLA.
i have this kit, got as far as primer. wow watching this video is sure helpful. thank you so much for sharing your time on this kit build. I am thinking the same foot print you did, just a bit deeper.
Many thanks for sharing. I'm thinking of an ITLA kit for long. As part of a big paper mill plant. The most interesting part of it (from my point of view) is the track going in the building. It's always useful to see someone doing it on a video. It helps a lot to set your mind on how it's ending up.
Great video. We are very proud to have ITLA up here in Canada. They make wonderful kits reminiscent of the Fine Scale Miniatures. What is the "task board" you mention? Thanks for showing the lighting as well. they make a huge difference. ;-)
Very nice background building with great detail. What a wiring job you did! I've always been told that details make up the scene. Very impressive kit with great details. You know it's a great kit when you don't have to add many details. I've been working on a couple of Maintenance of Way HO ballast cars; I had to make a new stirrup step for the Train Miniature grey one and had to rebuild the Silver Streak red one. I made the stirrup step out of a staple. Waiting for the oil paint to dry on the grey MOW car as I weather and paint using oil paints my wife got me. They look better than acrylic but it takes a lot longer for them to completely dry. One must be patient when using oils. Cheers from eastern TN
Outstanding! Glad I subbed, you have built some great kits! This is an incredible build! Would do any layout proud! I looked into it, had to sign up on list for it so did that, not cheap but think worth it! wondering how different it is then what you got ahold of.
Yeah, it’s not that cheap - but with inflation prices the way they are its pretty much in line with how much the big kits cost. I really only get 1 big kit a year so it’s not too bad for me. If you need to fill up a background, it’s a really good kit to use! Thanks for watching!

I just love your kits Nick- I've built several, including that big hotel!
That's rewarding to hear Bob, thank you very much.
Please let me know if you plan another ITLA build! Nick@ITLA

yes, I have a power supply that lets you choose the voltage by turning a dial. ITLA kits are really great to build!

Very impressive. The lights add a great deal to the finished product.
