Virginie Mesnard's story with Poirot is the most beautiful and melancholic thing in the series, in my opinion. I was also really disappointed that he ignored Pamela Lyall from Triangle at Rhodes: a classy but adventurous woman who was clearly attracted to him 🤷🏻♂️
Given the way Branaugh is playing fast and loose with the Christie canon, I wouldn't be surprised if Katherine didnt actually die in that train crash and will eventually return as a villain in a later installment of Branagh's movie series, like idk, one of the Big 4 or something 😂
Regardless of the author's intentions, Poirot always came off as a queer coded character with the emphasis on his Dandy appearance. Similar to Mr. Satterthwaite.

a rare thing, when something which wasn't originally in the book, fits perfectly, as if intended by the author
@@marina_via At least Hastings found love 😅 Poirot just wasted every opportunity and then complained about loneliness, it's infuriating 😤
Oh, I don't remember him complaining much, I'd rather say he thrived in the way he created his life
@@marina_via In a few of the later episodes he says he has regrets... Anyway, I just wanted our beloved egg-headed Belgian to find love 🤷🏻♂️

Branagh seems quite disrespectful in this way, in contrast to his serious focus on Poirot's mannerisms.
I enjoyed this, I have always wondered …

He was never married
I think he is too effeminate to be truly committed to a woman.❤
