Shoshana is truly one of the best performers of our generation. She's so versatile as both an actress and a singer to the point where I could see her smashing every role she plays. I hope we get to see her as Fanny on Broadway one day; she doesn't copy Streisand's version of Fanny but makes Fanny her own, which most people can't really do. She IS Fanny when she performs as Fanny, yet she makes the role fresh. I would also love to see her as The Witch in Into The Woods, I'm sure she'd sing an incredible Last Midnight.

Joshua Landon nah acting through song is what makes it such a performance. i don’t really think it’s over the top at all, and in the moments where it is, the acting feels very coherent with the part of the song. just my opinion; you’re entitled to yours of course.

Hear me out: A Bridges of Madison County Broadway revival with Shoshana Bean as Francesca and Ramin Karimloo as Robert! He said that he´d love to do that show. He sang "It All Fades Away" is on his album "From Now On" and it is absolutely amazing.

@@allynisbet3679 It won't be revived for years. Everyone is too afraid of the Streisand comparison. And splitting the role sounds like nonsense. No one should expect a big star to do this role. It is the most taxing role in musical theater and no name actress will stay with the show long enough to make back the investment. Funny Girl is a very expensive show to mount.
She is one of the most talented and sweet people I’ve ever met. I had the pleasure of seeing her in Waitress, and she blew me away! If you ever get the opportunity to see/meet her, do it. You will never regret it!

All the Funny Girl comments reinforced my initial reaction. Now as I listen to it again, I feel the same way about the verses - I hear Barbra in Shoshanna's voice throughout, except for the highest notes that sound more classical than broadway in the way Shoshanna executes the vowels and vibrato. I mean this all as a compliment to Shoshanna. I grew up on Barbra Streisand - she is in my vocal DNA.
