@@davve23 i never said Typh had heavily referenced my animation! and neither did zerdarat! i added it to the description because people had been using my original amv like a animation meme and thats not what i wanted! they would still give credits to typh for being the original animation meme but put mine as a inspiration which is nice but i dont really want people to treat it like a animation meme! Typhs animation is super good and original and i love it!! so i just want people to use the actual animation meme instead of mine which isnt! sorry for the misunderstanding!!

I think I understand now why you were so upset with people calling it a meme. It being a meme means that you were just doing it to be cool and doing it as a joke, but you just like making this content unironically (which is the only way I will ever see it). This is content that you like to make and it's content that I like to watch. Keep up the good work.
Well it does mean that, but what she meant is the other meaning of a meme, they call it an animation meme. Ita basically someone start of with an animation and others will somewhat copy it and make it a little different. Its like the Hi Herbert meme. People take it and put some personal flare to it, and its not considered stealing content.
animation memes usually are directly copied from the source and crumb just wanted this to be an animation work, not a trend other will copy. Of course others can still use the music and make animations with it but crumb does not want other specifically copying aspects from her animation and it becoming an animation meme.
meme is just a way of saying other animators can copy you when everyone copys you without permission it makes your animation look unoriginal and just like a trend some people don't mind getting copied and some are even flattered by it but copying without permission is really rude and insensitive

@@Pepejepip An animation meme is for people to copy and make their own (they're not tracing it and recolouring it). On the other hand an animation or AMV (animated music video) like here, isn't made to make your own version of it.

Like for example, there are many honey pie animation memes and people who do them all have similar animations. People who make AMVs have kinda different schemes(?) and cuptoast would like people to view their work more as an AMV than as an animation meme. They also hope no one references it too heavily!

you seem like the type of person to say someone stole an oc because the person drew fanart. I swear to god. People can make animation memes with the same song, even if a person did it before. Whether they called it a meme before or not, its still possible to make one too and call it original jesus.
