Yup, and it's bs cause I have a fkn PS4 pro got it with Red Dead 2 in 2018. Just got a ps3 again to play Red Dead 1 and I can't even sign in to my old account, so I made a new one. And even then I can't sign in.
I actually just got it thank fkn God. I wish he would've said something about the 2 step authenticator at the beginning that's what the problem was.

Like the one time device set up password from PlayStation.com and the need for two step verification activation to be on. My dad is having a problem signing in. We just followed all your steps and it still took us back to the sign in screen. We turned 2 step on. It’s like we were just going in a circle. Very frustrating. Anything else we can try?
Yes. I noticed when generating my password on playstation.com that it's a combination of upper and lowercase letters also numbers. Case sensitive alpha numeric one time password. When copying this manually to your PS3 sign in screen, it doesn't show you what you're typing in. So you can always try with a new generated password and manually copping it to the password field just remember to click both checkboxes before hitting sign in following the steps. I'm thinking how possible it is to get one character wrong when copying this password. This can be repeated along with the rest of the steps. I'm hoping this helps a bit! Thanks.

I’m so sad, it took away the auto sign in for the ps3 and I don’t know the birthday used for it to be retrieved nor is any of the passwords I thought were correct working. I’m so STUCK!! I don’t think i’m ever going to be able to log into psn again. I’m out of options
@emmah :D hello. The March 2022 update was called 4.89. If you have this update then all you need to do is go to your sign in screen on PS3 and use your usual email the one that you used all along. From there the password field would be useless for entering all your old passwords-after the update all it wants is a one time device set up passcode instead of your passwords.My video describes showing people to go to playstation.com to retrieve a one time device set up password to use in the password field of their PS3. It only needs to be done once, but for this you need access to your playstation.com account including sign in and password for that website, if you have too much trouble signing into playstation.com or accessing your account there which is what you really really need at some point, calling Sony USA can be helpful. You wouldn’t be asking them about PS3 it would be about your PlayStation account, and you would want them to help you remember or reset your passwords. They can do this but they require that you give them something from your original PlayStation account your online gamer ID or email address for your security and theirs. They may be able to help you reset your original account passwords. If not, I suppose you could create a new account. That may actually work… But please don’t give up these are the options I can think of and if you manage to reset or start a new account then please remember what I have said here and come back when it’s time to get a one time device set up pass code. Either way you should have some success. I wish you the best of luck, i’m here to help and I usually respond quickly to questions.🍀🍀

Is there a way to log in to your PSN Account on your PS3 without enabling the 2 Step Verification. I hated using the 2 Step Verification, the last time I used it, I couldn't log in to my account so I just disabled it. I just want to log into my account without going through any inconvenience.
@kevinlepon304 Hello, you’re asking very good questions. Things changed back in March 2022 for the PS3. Basically Sony issued a system update for the PS3 that made it require a one time device set up pass code. Sony had security in mind when they did this, but it changed the automatic sign in routine completely! The sign on screen now consists of what should be your usual email address and below that the one time device set up pass code. The March 2022 update was called 4.89 and to get PS3 on Sony servers again the one time device code is necessary. The device set up password described in my video is sufficient to reconnect with Sony servers both for downloading games making purchases and syncing trophies etc. Without the code the PS3 wouldn’t connect with the servers. It is important to have two step verification on. (This is how so many series of updates have affected PS3’s connectivity.) My advice is that if you try it without having 2 step verification on while signed into your playstation.com account I think it’s predictable you may run into troubles. On the other hand it seems necessary to have two step verification on. As far as I know this is the only way to reconnect PS3 online again after update 4.89. Wishing you lots of luck 🍀
Mins just show me a sign up icon and it won’t let me sign in with an existing account, it just says error
@robinson32993 Hi, I've heard of this problem before. On your PS3 home screen if you go all the way to the left where is the settings, go down to where it says accounts. There are many accounts that can be added to the PS3 console and sometimes you or your friends can add extra accounts making things a bit difficult at times. You could check there and see if there is an already created account you can switch to that makes sign in easier on your PS3. For example if you wanted to create a new account you could choose to do that fairy just remember I will take you a PlayStation 3 sign up page. And that's good just give the user profile and name you like that you can switch to later. Also important to remember that when creating a new user profile to check the box that says use existing PS3 profile, that's very important! This is a good way to weed out the most common cause of the issue your having. Honestly this is usually caused by someone else signing in to your PS3 to have different screensavers settings etc switching back to your profile might be difficult to find, but you can always create a new one just remember to check the box when creating a new profile that says you're an existing PSN member! Please let me know if this helps

@starcassie8052 Hi. This is something I think I can help you with. When it comes to PlayStation 3 there's the PlayStation store to buy and download games from. But also for PlayStation 3 there are internet searches for games for PlayStation 3. For example typing in "all PS3 games ever released". Will bring up alphabetical listings of all PS3 games. This can be helpful because finding a specific title and then searching on eBay for example can get you a new or used copy. This is the only 2 ways to know some of the games that are out there, and I use this method frequently to locate games on disc for PS3. This method is good also to see if your game on your phone is available for PS3 or ever was. If you see it on those lists you can Google "the game name with PS3 after it" to make an easy search. If it's not on disc and only available as digital download you'd have to check at the PlayStation store. If your PS3 is back online you can check to see if your game title is there . You can find complete lists of online on the PlayStation store. Two great search methods for a specific game like the one you have on your phone. Pretty much a sure way of telling if it's available for PS3 platform. Many games with the exact same name are made for different platforms including IOS and Android phone. I think this should really answer your question, but searching for your game the two ways that I described should be completely helpful. If your phone is an Android operating system and you bought a game from the Play Store and you later found it available on disc or digital download for PS3 you would have to purchase that game again anyway for PS3.. Apple or iOS phones use the APP Store to purchase games and apps. PS3 is considered a separate platform so you'd want to search PS3 titles online thoroughly for the game title and you would need to purchase it if you were interested..But please try googling for all PS3 games and check the PlayStation store if you have the PS3 online and signed in again. The two best ways to find your game. If they're there you're in luck 🍀🍀

Select library and you should see your game there. If it is, there’s a small downward pointing arrow next to the game on left. If you select that it should download on your Console.🍀

By the way after following those instructions on how to download from PlayStation store, I wanted to mention you can monitor and see the download progress on your PS3 home screen. On your PS3 console main home screen..., if you scroll all the way to the right you'll see first the friends column then PlayStation Network to the left of it.And third from the end is an icon that resembles the world called Network.( When downloading from the PlayStation store )you can see your download under Network. It will show you the percentage download and give you a pretty good idea how much time is left before the download is complete. 👍🏻🍀

@ Redzzder Hello, without having a PS Vita myself I've never transferred from PS3. A lot of games I've purchased at PSN were also compatible with PS3/Vita, but I'm not very familiar with the subject of PS3 to Vita transfer to begin with, sorry about that. Thanks .
This is the last straw with Sony to kill your fun i can't trust them going forward even the PS3 they won't let it alone it's bad enough we can't have these PS3 games as backwards compatibility now they've done this stupid nonsense to make logging in even more annoying I'm done with that.

My brother and I have shared a PSN account on our PS3 for years but he forgot the password and doesn’t have access to that email anymore. Is it possible to switch emails and passwords?
@Eric P Hello. You ask a good question. Since the email you use is the one that’s tied to your PSN account and playstation.com (it would be important to be able to access that email for an eventual reset link). If that email can’t be accessed and the email itself can’t be remembered. And the password associated with PSN is also forgotten. Well there’s steps you can do to recover it! You definitely want to be able to retain information like purchases, synchronized trophies etc. so before creating a new account I would advise this. Go to playstation.com or PSN as they call it >scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says support and click on that >then there’s several issues you can choose from including forgot email and password? There’s also a chat with live agent button on the bottom right hand corner. >Chatting with a live agent and explaining the situation can be the best way to recover an account even if you don’t have access to any of the information above. What they Will ask you for as some other information that they need to help verify your account . For example date of birth or the MAC address for the PS3 Device that’s registered. Or even your online Sony ID(that’s the handle people make for themselves when they’re online) you can chat with them but they would require any of these or more to reset your account. Chatting with a live agent is the best option here. But this is when the email and password have been forgotten and you must answer something like a security question as well but only you would know the answer to. Try this before creating a new account. The live agent would tell you if they can help you or not. They require info for security . If this does not work then the only option is creating a new one. But try talking to a live agent(chatting) first. It may pan out for you. In this case it doesn’t hurt to ask an agents help with an account you’re locked out of. Be aware of random security questions though. You should try because nobody wants to lose their purchases and screenshots etc.! Best of luck to you. 🍀

@gotcha1248 Hello, I start on my PS3 home screen then go to the PlayStation store. My particular motion theme cost a little bit of money. When PS3 needs money in the wallet you'd have to refill it on a PS4, PS5 or at playstation.com. You can no longer put money in your PS3 wallet on the PS3 platform. But money in your wallet means you can shop with those funds on PS3! Anyway on the left hand side of the PlayStation store you'll see Themes and up top you'll see some filters that come in handy. If you narrowed it down to PS3 platform and the other filter from Price lowest to highest it may be more convenient to search Theams. It may take a long time to get to the motion wallpaper, but you eventually would. Another way is to do a general search for" Motion wallpapers"-those should be helpful results that it shows. Also when you find a wallpaper you like and it costs, you just have to check out with it in your cart. The same as it used to be only you can't add funds on the PS3 console itself anymore. I hope this helps you 🍀 I almost forgot to mention, this may be easier for a lot of people but since the PS3 doesn't allow direct funding of wallet anymore there is also another simpler option. The Sony PlayStation gift card! If you had one of those you could add it directly to the PSN store, on the left hand side all the way down where it would say wallet. You could actually put the 12-digit gift card number in there and it would register right there on the PS3! Wanted to mention that. But any other form of wallet payment would have to be done on PS5 for PS4 or playstation.com as I mentioned before. It's good to know about the gift cards though, they work nicely I've tried it🍀

@ Christian Olsen Hello. I’m pretty sure that code means you can’t sign into PSN. So you would want you to update to 4.89 on your PS3 console update. Also, then the steps in my video would have to be followed to connect to PSN also.In other words Sony wants people to update to 4.89 in order just to connect to PSN store. But once updated you would Need the one time device set up passcode described in my video to access PSN .They had security in mind with the new update. You asked a good question but, apparently if you don’t update you can’t access the PlayStation store… or sign into PSN. 🍀

@Saul_goodman__uses_meth Hello. I can walk you through to answer this question/ go on your PS3 and navigate all the way to the left Next to the settings menu. Where it says USERS, you would want to add a new user for yourself and give it a name that you like. From then on this would be the user profile on PS3 that You would use, and the previous one can stay too if you like.The next part is signing in with that user profile! For this you may need to use( Your existing playstation.com email and generated password as described in my video )and if necessary write down the password too use when coming back to your PS3 to sign in.Or create a new account at PlayStation.com. Eventually signing in with your email and one time generated code from playstation.com//while using your new PS3 USER profile…That’s as simple as that can be. (BTW the reason for having separate profiles is that each separate profile is capable of having different payment methods/screen savers etc. For You to sign in as You you’ll ultimately want to sign into PlayStation network as well but first to make sure you have your own account at Playstation.com and later use this info to login on your PS3 console.You must first create a new USER for You on the far left….. and then sign in using your new profile with your personal updated playstation.com account info including email and password on your PS3 as described in my video.If you must create a new account that’s cool. I’m hoping this helps a lot. 🍀🍀

If you scroll to the bottom you should see a Help/contact section if you follow this through you can get into a chat where Sony can help you to reset your account( rather to get back into it! )they may ask you a few security questions however. But you should be OK after that. The chat option is nice. You can also call them at Sony USA regarding missing passwords etc. Also when you first login to playstation.com you should see the little blue link that says forgot password/email? That email link may prove helpful for resetting password/etc . if these things don’t get you back into your account, especially if you’ve had a chat or a call then you would have to create a new account. Sony via chat or phone call is best to try! If they can’t help you they’ll let you know… In that case you could just create a new account. 🍀

@budstopseasyroadspence1987 Hello, it’s good that it worked that once for you. The whole process of going to playstation.com and accessing your account there is usually the best place to keep trying. There’s a part in my video, and I know you’re familiar because you’ve done it once already, but I would double check in the security section to make sure that you have two step verification on. It must be on for the one time activation code to work. The steps in my video tell the rest but I can’t think of a real reason why your device activation code won’t be accepted. But here’s an idea you could try… Go to playstation.com and sign in, then to your account then to security. You come to a screen that has a list of codes that you’ve already tried and next to each is a button that says revoke. I wouldn’t recommend doing this except in a situation where you’re willing to start from scratch with a way to clear the old generated passwords and revoke them. The idea is you could start from scratch while you’re there on playstation.com. Anyway if you see a series of generated passwords and you click revoke one by one you’ll see that those passwords are no longer authorized. Basically the one you’re used to using can be revoked as well, (only to be replaced by a freshly generated one later at the bottom of that page). That should work very nicely. So long as you’re having trouble signing in currently, this should do no harm, with the possibility of a lot of good. Sometimes revoking some or all of those passwords is a good way to start from scratch. I believe this may help! 🍀

On your PS3 console sign in screen(assuming you’ve already updated to 4.89 or 4.90 system update) The sign in screen would be impossible to get past unless you got the one time device activation code from playstation.com. And on the PS3 itself it forgets your old password but it (wants your old sign in ID), that hasn’t changed. I hope this helps a bit🍀

@End C30 hello. You might wanna try by checking/reconnecting your Internet connection either Wi-Fi or Internet. That’s a specific procedure that’s easily googled. successful Internet connection with show in your settings. From there you should be OK. By the way the PS3 has some limitation’s because there’s no real web browser. Phone or PC can easily take you where you need to go to playstation.com to get the device activation code. I'm so glad to hear your PS3 is online again! I believe when it comes to Final Fantasy IVX: A Realm Reborn(I assume you have a physical disc,not a downloaded?), as with most games it's important to check for updates and it looks like in this case to there were several patches for the game to download. Before you begin the game if you can't start it maybe press the X button to try and an update should announce itself or even a patch. Once downloaded gameplay should resume as far as I know, good luck!!🍀

I've seen and heard of RUclipsrs that are excellent at helping resolve issues with certain games. I apologize but my knowledge on this issue is probably not helpful. I would recommend googling keywords for this issue, or even searching RUclips for Final Fantasy installation issues. My apologies, I really don't know this one.🍀

No matter what I try nothing works for me part of it is me being mentally disabled and low knowledge of this stuff so before the update it worked fine,now it seems to not recognize my email address and sign in ID and password it seems my email cuz of links but what I'm stuck on is is my email address the sign in ID or not cuz I tried both and it doesn't recognize them I tried the chat with support I have the same thing so it will help if they would explain it if CAPS are needed or not so is that it cuz my email is all lowercase but on PS3 where the section shows friends blocked etc my username or sign in ID is CAPS so is that it,I'm also having trouble with security to verify my identity and I know I did it right another issue is it won't send the reset links because it shows playstation network is down for I can't spell it starts with M like they are updating site I googled it and it's working fine and is running fine so what's the cause of my issues and what I hate is they make it so difficult to do anything when it comes to security so something needs to change so players like me that have disability won't have a difficult time to do things
@chris crane Hello.Basically my video shows using the familiar email in PS3 sign in field,but after update 4.89 came the need for a one time device set up code to enter in that password field,instead of your usual password.Then needing to go to PlayStation.com & Sign in there…(for a 1 time device set up code)requires password +email But,resetting one of those is easy “I say from experience from “Calling Sony USA(phone can be googled)If one of the two Password or email they can help reset.But not both, happened to me!I had to create a new account.So reset links are kept secure by Sony by allowing one or the other to be reset for your PlayStation.com account sign in,not both unfortunately.(A the time I was told this, I Had to create a new account.If needed a fresh account that’s accessible may make things fully functional again).Sorry I’m so wordy but true that Sony will reset email OR password (from experience 😮)..sometimes creating a new one is the only option.When I wasn’t allowed to reset both,they told me.A new account would have to be created on PC or smartphone.PS3 console is not capable of that.Wishing you luck 🍀

I see that it fixes the problem , but mine is complicated, i list all access to the email and i dont have anyone who does, so i cannot authenticate.i do have the password, b7t authentication is the problem, i would like to hear if you have a fix. Because i am thinking that, now i have lost everything on my ps3, which was about 30 games
@p0k3mon_master07 Hi, if you've lost access to the email associated with the account it would be almost impossible to complete verification. Also if you didn't have SMS verification on your cell phone this would be hard. However this happens a lot and the fix would require you to contact Sony one of several different ways... You would want to be prepared to answer questions about your PSN account generally., Like security questions Sony will ask llike, what is your email, what is your online gamer ID and several other questions. They do this for your security so that they can reset your account without you losing any game data trophies or games. There's no special details to this only that you would have to pass through security questions to reset your email, just to regain access to your PSN account. (Maybe you could create a new free email to have handy if they ask you your new email). The first way is to go on a web browser to playstation.com and navigate to the bottom of the page. You'll see words like help, contact etc if you click on these keywords you would see the option to chat with Sony. And here they would ask you some of the key questions I mentioned. If you do they can help you reset your account without losing anything! Okay there's another way, calling Sony USA will give you the same option, here to you would be asking to gain access to a PSN account that you're locked out of. (Not necessary to mention the PS3 system and since they officially don't support it) you can regain access to your PSN account either of these two ways! So even if you don't know your master email account but know details of your PSN account like online gamer ID etc. They should be able to help you update an email address with no real losses to you.However if they cannot reset your account they would let you know but it's worth a try. For them it's about the security questions. I would recommend the chat since it's available on the web page or calling them if you like.I just wanted to prep you for the security questions they would ask you about your PSN account first I hope this helps 🍀. **If you're able to successfully reset your PSN account with a new email, then followed the steps in my video to get at one time device setup a passcode you would then easily be able to go to the PlayStation store and re- download for free all of your 30 games free!! I wish you a lot of luck resetting your PSN account🍀🍀**

I did some online research for you, here's what I came up with... as you know my video deals with problems caused by upgrading to version 4.89 on PS3.Even if somebody remembered their username, they still had to generate a one time device setup password that required Playstation.com Login.Doesn't sound like that's what you're going through. When it comes to email address sign ins Sony says to reset this you would have to call them at 1-800-883-6817 Mon-Fri 10-6 pm EST Or you could email them at ProSupport@sony.com. They may ask you to provide your Sony online ID. So you would have to talk to them to change the email, but that would be good! Secondly that new email address is something you can use to easily reset the password with the reset link To your email! It's all very doable but the contact information for Sony may vary. So putting PS3 aside for a moment you'd be asking them about your PSN account(Playstation.com)Login.And how to change your login ID (email), they'll take care of it for you! You could then use that new email to sign into your PS3 !And if you haven't upgraded to version 4.89 yet on your PS3 you only need your new email & a one time generated code not a password.😊 i've talked with people on Sony before and they're very nice but again wanting to change email for playstation.com login where you can change your email Again once you've gotten help from them… At first it's not specifically about PS3 it's your PSN account sign in . I wanted to be as helpful as possible here.This may completely fix your situation.Lots of luck 🍀
