Thanks! i decided to login recently, and was very suprised when I saw that I was unable to acess the PSN on my PS3. This 2 step security measure is super obscure, and there is no message explaining the problem or how to fix it when the login fails.

I keep getting the error “you cannot sign in using another user’s sign-in ID (e-mail address)” despite it being mine. I checked how to activate a PS3 and it’s just telling to go to settings menus that don’t exist.

I was getting the same thing too. I had to create a new user (sign in to the new user) then go to sign up for the PS network and enter your email and the verification code and it worked for me

@@lcollingwood5959 I figured that out. Ya shame the previous PS3 owner just labelled they’re console name as “utilizer 1”. Woulda made a new account if it wasn’t.

When it gives you the code, go back and where it says "password" type in the password that you got via the QR code, and not your account/gmail password. I've been struggling to log in until I figured it out... xD
