  • Circling approaches can cause confusing but they are actually straight forward... Well.. Until you turn for the circle then the forward motion goes sideways a bit and all that..... errrrr..

    After my lesson today, my cfi asked if I had any prior experience on the radio because I was doing so well for 8 hours in. Owe it all to you brother.

    Nice video mate. Great bit of flying there too... just remember though like we discussed before, watch that turn inbound on the hold doesn’t get too shallow so you don’t end up flying through the radial. Otherwise you done well and honestly, I’m ready to sign you off.

      Otto Pilot you’re saying correct for wind in the hold? Like, add more stuff to an already technical thing? Doesn’t sound right. You are the master of holding though so 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Keep pumping these IFR lessons out:) I have my Checkride with Rob Nov 2nd due to his very busy schedule. Taking the written next Friday. I'm so tired of taking practice tests but it makes life so easy when you sit for it.

    Sanford is where we bought the Cherokee that I did my PPL and Instrument training in. Leesburg is the airport we fly to in our Lance when we work in Wildwood. Nonstop from KCAK in Ohio I should add lol.

    Awesome video as always! Just got my 'Welcome to the sky' t-shirt. One question. Shouldn't the circling have been completed at 700 ft? Looks like y'all ended up back at 1000.

      Yea in actual you’d stay at 700 but we climbed back up for some extra “contingency” altitude haha

      @@LewDixAviation Thanks. You remind me a lot of how me and my CFII were during my instrument training. Very relaxed, enjoying every flight. Closer to my checkride I used to ask him what I'm paying him for when he was just sitting there making jokes. 😉
