    I hope you liked my Bestqool review of the BQ60. The panel has 60 LEDs split between 660nm and 850nm light (which align with my spectrometer). The company also has three shipping options, from the USA, Canada, and China, which helps people who want cheaper shipping. The problem, however, is that the Bestqool review BQ60 panel is underpowered at only 30 mW/cm2 on average across the panel on 9 measurement points. If you've got any commetns on my Bestqool review, leave them below!

    Unlike some companies I met who deceptively tout peak wattage, which only reflects the momentary surge of power upon startup, this company remains transparent and trustworthy.

    I bought 2 of these off amazon to treat my long covid ME/CFS. Glad to finally know the light output. The box/manual/website all have different numbers. Solid unit, works. Dropped it a few times no damage. No issues with the buttons. Using it daily. Been aiming it at my head. Hard to tell if there is any improvement in my symptoms. Maybe 10-20%. Looking to buy something much more substantial as far as coverage and power.

    bought this for my mom and got the BQ40 for myself. I would have liked to buy her a bigger one but she uses this in her office. I am glad to know about the true numbers because I don't feel its too strong, although i have only had it for about a week.

    I am new to this red light therapy and see that you are not using any eye protection.
    Is it not necessary if you are not looking directly into it? You seem very knowledgeable and your advise is appreciated.

    Great videos! Wondering your thoughts on the Bestqool model that you lay under - 7 Color Photon LED Light Therapy? I like the option for different lights and that I could lay under. But also super sceptical. Thanks!

    If the manufacturer’s avg power numbers are off, what would you suggest for the most effective treatment times to adjust for the actual numbers? ***Also curious if you would recommend the Hooga Pro 300 over this Bestqool? Thank you 🙏🏼

    Is there an easy way for use to test irradiance at home? I have a smaller panel, the Infraredi Slim Lite, and would love to know the numbers. Good job again!

      You could use a solar meter - but the numbers aren't very accurate.

    I was considering buying the Biomax Platninum 900 after watching many of your videos. After reviewing reviews on line, they said the customer service is horrible. In fact they got an F. Knowing this, Is Biomax overall still better than Mito? I will be buying the best lights they have to offer.

    This seems strangely like only half of the advertised power density. Have you double checked your measurements by comparing modes NIR, red light and both on?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  7 месяцев назад +3

      Yes. A lot of the companies are publishing data that is wrong. It's a big problem in the RLT space.

  • @thedanwriter1

    I thought bestqool advertised their devices to be flicker free? So i was thinking their leds were continuous

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  6 месяцев назад

      TBH I wouldn't rely on any of the marketing claims that RLT companies put out! It's a mess.

    • @bobvalley2221
      @bobvalley2221 5 месяцев назад +1

      Take this with a grain of salt but I have this panel bought off of Amazon, I am very sensitive to led flicker and I can't notice it on the unit that I have.

  • @tonyrothwell5850

    I thought the ideal irradiance foe a panel was 30 - 59 mw/cm2. I am not sure why you are promoting panels that have a higher irradiance? Yes, I just stand further away to get my ideal, But I am sure a lot of people are over dosing

    • @bradojacko8247

      Can you actually overdose on red light?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  8 месяцев назад +2

      Hi. Who said the ideal range was 30-59mw/cm2?

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  8 месяцев назад +2

      There is a biphasic dose curve - yes at some point too much can mean diminishing returns. Maybe even negative. But it's a very complex topic. I mean if you want to treat a broken bone for instance - you are going to need a lot more energy/light to get an adequate dose in the bone, which may mean you are over exposing the skin for instance.

      @@alexandraernst3015 Well OK, maybe not 'scammy' but just 2nd/3rd tier in terms of quality. But ask yourself why would they give themselves English/Western sounding names if there were no problems to start with..

    I'm not sure if the product I purchased half a year ago is as bad as you say. I really enjoyed their great customer service. I have many questions and concerns. They are very patient to help me with any problems (some of which are extremely stupid). Actually, I also have good results using this product for skincare.
