Had to chuckle at Carol for not wanting to say easy simple meal but it automatically came out. And her laugh. Keep saying it Carol! Also that phenomenal sunset, absolutely gorgeous.
My husband and I have loved watching your adventures now for almost a year. I was raised out west and we lived in Washington State before coming to Mississippi now. We recognize some of your sites but the vast beauty you bring leaves us awestruck. My husband laughs at Carol everytime she says 'simple' because it seems gourmet to us. Her trying to not say it was cute😊 Your joy in life and your faith through your losses that we get to see through your videos has been encouraging. I pray in your down time and no cameras God is holding you and strengthening you❤🙏 Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I don't comment often but we anxiously await each new video as it comes. God bless❤
Thank you so much for your comment. We are glad you are enjoying our channel and you are right, there is so much natural beauty out there to experience. Have a wonderful day.
Carol thanks for bringing a smile and a laugh to your cooking a very simple meal. Please don't change how you say it. We wouldn't know what too do if you did. It was nice to see the rest of the family laughing with you.
How our sense can be so enlightened through a fresh rain as creation opens its pours to receive with that praise of thankfulness through its earthly smells as the heavens rejoice in the aray of colors that paint the perfect picture...
That truck is just a beast of a off-road home, Lando doesn’t like that big fly, that is why I will watch Dan’s channel for him and Lando. Thank you guys.
Tip to remove Jumping Cactus or Teddy Bear Cholla. Use a hair comb to remove the cactus spines, then a plyers to remove the thorns still in your skin. The thorns fish hook into your skin and will cause irritation for a few days afterwards as the Cholla Cactus is the worst cactus in the Sonora Desert to get tangled with. Also the G in Gila is pronounced with an H like Hila Monster and Cholla is pronounced with a Y, Choyya.
Pete Jr, you are a phenomenal photographer. I love your shots…there is such life and richness in the colors and scenes. You are Blessed with an amazing gift from the Lord. 🙏🦅
When Lando gets cholla needles in his paws, use a comb to flick them out, it’s much easier and faster than trying to pull them out with your fingers. You can use pliers or a multi-tool.
That well-like structure could be a makeshift furnace to roast the ore to free up the gold in processing (refractory ore). They use the slope to avoid having to build walls.
Carol: Vegi-beef is a prduct used in lieu of ground beef and it is a versatile prduct that tastes god and is very digestable . I use it to make Chile con carne,Shepherd's pie, tacos, etc. It is great to work with when you are in "the bush!". Easy peasey meals are the best! Cheers,Sandy&Andy from PentictonBC
I love witnessing the tightness of your family, willing to adventure and explore together, adding to each other's talents and skills. Each of you, including Lando, add to the wonderful recipe of delightful wonders.
Need to carry a leatherman multi tool for removing those cacti needles from Lando's paws. I faced the same issue with my dog, and ended up just getting those cacti in my own fingers when trying to remove them from his paws. You also need to carry a set of "leveling blocks" for that big vehicle, easily stored and don't take up much space.
Marco with OVERLNDX is always saying how easy his food is to make. You can say it's a simple meal!! LOL! It was funny watching you try and not say "simple"!! Tell Lando to stay on the trail. Or else it's the booties for him!!
So great to hear Carol more in the story❤ I grew up in a male dominated family. Sometimes it is difficult to feel that what you have to say is worthy or being heard and appreciated. ~ We hear you Carol and you are a great reason why we sub to this channel.
There is this canyon a short hike here. Palm Canyon. To see Palm trees growing on the side of a hill by a Canyon. There's a little history here. Plenty of BLM, LTVA, Propane, water stations + showers at a nice laundery mat in town. This is a small town.
Arizona - where even the plants have teeth. One of my favorite places. The Golden Hour sun put on a nice show for your cinematography - nothing is quite as dramatic as the low angle winter sun in the last hour of the day. Glad to see you back out there and for bringing us along.
The paved road between Bouse and Quartzite where we are has some little dips all along the way. We are surrounded by nearby mountain. Can camp near the mountains at the Blm or Ltva.
Awww...My hubby and I have the same Yeti mugs for when we go camping!!! Carol, you cracked me up. I know that you tried really hard not to same SIMPLE!!! hahaha.
Thank you for sharing this recent exploration. I thought Carol was going to go into a giggling episode. Maybe she did and we didn't get to see it. 😂 i hope a cooking documentary is in the future. There is an art to cooking for a family while overlanding. Each region has different foods indigenous or local to the area. In our area we have salmon, sturgeon, elk and deer, wild strawberries, blackberries, hazelnuts and acorns.
Awesome video as always EFRT. Epic new setup can't wait to see all the BDRs y'all are going to explore with y'all's new rig. Can't wait for the next epic adventure.
Apart from loving the adventures, I so enjoy hearing the geographical, natural and animal presence in the spaces you visit. My adventuring will likely not be as off road, but it makes me itch to get my car camping supplies together so I can get out ASAP in the spring (NE Ohio). Thank you for the inspiration.
Amazing video and an equally amazing area to explore! I look forward to the day I can make it to the west coast and explore some of the areas you’ve shared! Side note, I recently received the EFRT sticker I ordered… looks awesome on my gear crate and I thank you for sending out sticker-only orders with no shipping charge in the US!
Excellent and well produced video again gang. If the mines were intriguing. Perhaps a visit with Brent Underwood at Cero Gordo Ghost town. He is well versed in mines as he restores his ghost town. He seems like someone cool to meet as well. I enjoy watching his RUclips channel too. Keep up the great work gang. Wife and I look forward to seeing your videos every weekend. Even our 3yr old Boxer perks up when Lando is on the screen. Hahaha.
Great video-beautiful sunset-great “simple” Chuckles with Carol…how you keep those booties on Lando I’ll never know…our girls kick off theirs in the snow…fun to see how each rig handles differently over the terrain…good to see you on the trails again! Have a great week!
I love your videos I really enjoy watching them. It’s a highlight of my day whenever I get to see one of the videos but I was just wondering in all the places that you camp and stay at the very remote places do you ever have any trouble with anybody, trying to bother y’all like any violent people? that might come upon you in remote places. I just wondering I wish you all the safety in the world. Thank you again for your videos I watch everyone you put out.
Hi there. That’s a great question. We have never had any problem out there. It seems like the bad people who want to make trouble go to places that are more populated. Out in the wilderness where we usually camp, there’s nobody out there. 👍🏻
Great episode, thank you. I loved seeing the Sa-war-o cactus and to hear about the he-la monsters of my native land. When in doubt pronounce it in Spanish in AZ.
Good morning EFRT! ☕ Nice to see you putting the new rig through some back country trails and exploring. What an amazing area and the changes in the natural lighting was stunning. Thanks for sharing with us!
Cute orlando is a beautiful guide 🦮 in front of you 😊. Happy to watch you all in the comfort of the lovely big daddy it's performance looks very impressive. One thing I would like to mention that it was a good simple metal 😊 mam. Nice 👍 video good location to celebrate with sunset. Have a wonderful days ahead 😊. Happy and healthy journey ahead ❤.
You should check the woodcutting regulations for where you are at, because there are some very hefty fines for cutting, and, or burning wood in the Sonoran Desert. Also who's in charge, you or your dog? It's the desert, he's going to step on more cacti. Do what's best for your dog as he doesn't understand.
Happy New Year EFRT gang!! Being from AZ I love, love the AZ trips y'all take! Our state 48 is beautiful with lots of scenic spots and secrets like those covered up shafts. Y'all should visit some Anasazi ruins in cliff dwellings too! There are beautiful ruins along the Roosevelt Lake area near Globe/Miami (also have BOMB Mexican food!) as well as the grand Montezuma Castle cliff dwelling along the I-17 in Camp Verde. There's SO much to discover in AZ besides the Grand Canyon (although that is a main attraction for most visitors). I loved seeing Lando in his shoes! SO adorable❣Keep them vlogs coming!
Happy New Year everyone. I really love all of your amazing adventures videos. I especially love to see you all so very cozy during the rain in your great camper-overlander truck. There really need to be more content showing families being cozy during bad weather while showing both the indoor family coziness and also viewing the outside weather conditions and behavior. Thank you for sharing your amazing family adventures. We all want to see more. Stay safe.
Could have given you a few hidden waterfront locations out there! I love the Sonoran, so beautiful and so much to explore! If you need some cool’s spots near the valley let me know!
Hey guys Great video as usual! The new truck seems to be working well. Turns are a little wider….😅. I just got my EFRT hoodie. I love it, but the import duty’s to get it into Canada were excessive. Maybe something to look into. Have a great week! See you in the next one
After watching the new truck in action, I’m seriously thinking of getting one, any pros and cons for the rig would be appreciated, enjoy and happy trails
Had to chuckle at Carol for not wanting to say easy simple meal but it automatically came out. And her laugh. Keep saying it Carol!
Also that phenomenal sunset, absolutely gorgeous.
That new Ford is so great.
My husband and I have loved watching your adventures now for almost a year. I was raised out west and we lived in Washington State before coming to Mississippi now. We recognize some of your sites but the vast beauty you bring leaves us awestruck.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the NEW Truck!!!! AWESOME!!!
Sista! You say simple all you want! We all know that camp cooking is never really simple.
Thanks 😊
How our sense can be so enlightened through a fresh rain as creation opens its pours to receive with that praise of thankfulness through its earthly smells as the heavens rejoice in the aray of colors that paint the perfect picture...
I laughed out loud at the simple meal saga. And the cinematography was stunning.
Omgoodness when that sun pops out.... glorious!!!

The beauty of the dessert shines through! Peter and Dan….Perfection!

Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated. Have a wonderful evening.
Arizona sunsets in the desert are the best.
Yes they are so beautiful!
Oh yes. The desert where everything wants to stick you, poke you, cut you and make you bleed! Enjoyed the video. Thanks!

Man oh man I am praying (and working my arse off) for a rig like yours one day! The fwd van ain’t cuttin it! 🎉

We like ‘simple’! ❤
HEY! Good morning everyone and thumbs UP to EFRT! 👍
Good morning.
Thanks for this beautiful but "simple" video!! 😊
Haha. Glad you liked it!
You need some automatic steps for that truck. I got mine at Northwest Running Boards in Clackamas OR great prices and really great service.
Yes we do. Thanks will check them out. Have a wonderful day.
Great video! Pete Jr, amazing narration. You have a great voice for it, adds a really soothing touch. Incredible Golden Hour in this one!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!

Not words common in beautiful Canada. Love you guys!
Wow, y'all got experience desert rain, very cool! The sun afterwards was spectacular, too. Lando has a new toy, Drone!
Awww...My hubby and I have the same Yeti mugs for when we go camping!!! Carol, you cracked me up. I know that you tried really hard not to same SIMPLE!!! hahaha.
Fun video and lots of "simple" cooking ;-) The new rig is SO impressive and happy for you!! 💜
Thanks so much!
Arizona is a remarkable state. Much to explore indeed. Azurite and Malachite can be mined…Globe, Az is a fascinating area too. Ty for sharing SW Az. 🤍
Well done family! Look at Ruffwear boots, they are a bit more athletic for the Lando.
Glad to see the laughs. 👍🏻
Absolutely stunning views. Thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us.
Our pleasure!
Really enjoyed watching!
Wieder ein sehr schönes Video. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland

You should carry a metal detection device. There are people who find gold nuggets in the dessert under rocks.
Great Idea!
Awesome video as always EFRT. Epic new setup can't wait to see all the BDRs y'all are going to explore with y'all's new rig. Can't wait for the next epic adventure.
Crescent City was my grandma's place she lived there 50 years

Awesome to have the new dwelling on back of the truck, but I know you're missing being in the jeep. 😊❤
Just too big.
We absolutely love the truck, but of course we still have the Jeeps 👍🏻

Yes, unfortunately, he actually lost a boot on the trail a few days ago.
@@EFRTwe have them on our girls for the snow storm today and one got left outside. Luckily it froze to the snow and didn’t blow away.
Simple meal scene was hilarious 🤣 funny 😁
Great video, I Enjoy following! Your in my backyard and happy new year 🎉

Get that drone Lando, get it 😂
Thank you as always for sharing! Lando and the Drone what's hilarious maybe time to put a camera on Lando
That would be cool!
Epik amazing
Another terrific video. Gorgeous sunset! ❤️

Yes, he sure does. 🐾

I should have checked!
Hey guys
Great video as usual! The new truck seems to be working well. Turns are a little wider….😅. I just got my EFRT hoodie. I love it, but the import duty’s to get it into Canada were excessive. Maybe something to look into. Have a great week! See you in the next one
Thanks for the support, we appreciate it. Hope you love your sweater. We will look into that issue. Have a wonderful day.
Gila = Heela
Thank you.
Oh, man, your Canadian is showing!! Please ask a local how to pronounce “saguaro.”
After watching the new truck in action, I’m seriously thinking of getting one, any pros and cons for the rig would be appreciated, enjoy and happy trails
We absolutely love this rig. It is very versatile and checks all the boxes for us. 👍🏻
