      Hope you have a good time! And that there aren’t as many broken rides tomorrow AM so there’s less crowds everywhere else.

    My rope drop rides are these in order. Indy, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Thunder Mountain.
    I then go to do some pin trading at the westward Ho bench’s. By the time I leave there the golden hour has ended.

      I’ll be sure to put out another at the beginning of December for sure. Not sure I’ll do a November one. But maybe.
      There will definitely be a November crowd update and another in December.
      The big one to look out for is the Christmas FOOD video. 🤣 That should be out November 13th

    Thank you for all your videos! Took the family to Disneyland for the 1st time on 11/14 for my daughters 6th birthday! The Haunted Mansion rope drop strategy during the holidays paid off!
    Haunted Mansion 8 min.
    Thunder Mountain 7 min.
    Matterhorn 13 min.
    Space Mountain broke down while we were in line for Matterhorn so we went to Autopia.
    Autopia 4 min.
    Star Tours 10 min.
    Was in line for Buzz when we found out Space Mountain opened back up.
    Space Mountain 17 min.
    6 rides in the first 2 hours!!! The kids were smiles ear to ear! Thanks again! Keep doing what you do brutha ✌️

    Wow, that was great timing for HM! We went back in Sept. and it was our last ride of the evening and we waited 90 minutes! Our guest had never been on it with the crossover and unfortunately she was not impressed.😂

    I like that you share your food with your family. A lot of families spend to much money of the kids and then the kids just throw it away.

    Last week I had four consecutive break down just before boarding. My next strategy was to go toward Tomorrowland. With space mountain closed, we were able to ride star tours, Astro blasters, Astro orbit or, Matterhorn, and teacups, all within the first hour. 😊😊

    These videos are amazing. They have help so much with planning out first trip for January. When do you think Haunted Mansion would reopen after the 7th? We will be there on the 20th - 24th and my daughter is so excited for it.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  10 месяцев назад +1

      If all goes as normally scheduled, it’ll be roughly around 2 weeks later. So right around when you’re there.
      BUT, and that’s a big BUT, they are planning a renovation to the Haunted Mansion queue and might leave it closed during the renovation. They could also open and just wiggle people a different way. I don’t know what they’re going to do.
      But for proper expectations, I would anticipate that it won’t be open during your visit. Unfortunately.
      And then if it does happen to be open, you’ll be pleasantly surprised as opposed to disappointed.

    we tried to rope drop it this past sat (10/7) and it was closed.. so r33e rode pirates and big thunder. We checked at around 845-9 and mansion was running with a :30 line so we high tailed it there and when got off it was up to 60.. on sunday (10/8) we were about to get in the 65 minute line when suddenly a :LL opened for :40 out so i quickly snagged that and it was a 14 minute line... score!

    Hello!! Going to be at Disneyland an CA this Friday and Saturday. We’re taking out little girl who’s 2 1/2 and so excited. Do you have a video showing strategy for rides with little ones? Like which areas of the park to tackle strategically? We’ll likely be there at rope drop and go back to the hotel for lunch and a nap, then be back for mid-late afternoon

    How does this change if you get early entry by stying at a Disney resort? Great video!

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  9 месяцев назад

      Not much, unfortunately, because only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland is open for early entry. So if you want to rope drop Haunted Mansion Holiday, then only advice I could give is to ride one, maybe two very quick rides up in Fantasyland and then position yourself as close to Frontierland as possible back in Fantasyland until rope drop and then move swiftly down to Haunted Mansion.
      If Haunted Mansion Holiday isn't a concern, then you can pretty much do whatever you like up in Fantasyland. If Space Mountain has reopened by the time you go, you could start there, then move on to Fantasyland. Or you could go to Peter Pan first in Fantasyland as the lowest wait you'll see it all day is during early entry.

    Great video as always guys! Thank you for your content. I'm curious, when do they usually announce or start producing holiday food for the Christmas season? We are going starting the 6th of November

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  10 месяцев назад +1

      November 10th is the first day.
      For Halloween, they launched some foods early on the Tuesday before. I don’t know if that will happen with Christmas food. They’ve never done that before, so it was a surprise to see food launch early.

      Unfortunately, we will be there on Sunday, the 15th. Though Tuesday’s are usually my go-to day if I go during the week.
      But I won’t be there this next Tuesday since we will have been just two days prior.

    Your family was successful for rope dropping Nightmare before Christmas. I was actually scared I would get trampled by other people. That's why I did Mickey's ride. I'm little and people run. And for opening day of the overlay. It would've been insane. I did good because everyone was in line for that ride. But still missed a lot of rides. I miss it so much.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  10 месяцев назад +2

      There was definitely a lot of people going there, but that’s why we usually go over through Frontierland since it’s far less crowded.

  • @kellbell60
    @kellbell60 10 месяцев назад

    Thanks for the tips. We are headed there in two weeks during the week. We were going to rope drop and head to Fantasyland and knock out Peter Pan, Poo, etc etc and get out. We don’t have small kids. According to this video, we should head to Mansion, first??? Thanks again for the videos.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  10 месяцев назад +2

      If you don’t have small kids, I wouldn’t go straight to Fantasyland.
      Peter Pan is open for early entry and will have a 20 minute line BEFORE rope drop crowds get there. It stays at 30-40 minutes all day long, even right out the gate. So it’s better to just do that whenever. There is no good or bad time (except first thing because it wastes the low waits elsewhere).
      If you get to Fantasyland by around 9 AM you’ll be able to do most of the rides no problem. Spend the first hour riding some lower wait bigger rides.

    I am finally returning to Disneyland in early December after about 15 years since my last trip to California. Assuming all of the big rides are open and cooperating during Rope Drop, what would your strategy be if you wanted to check off Haunted Mansion Holiday, Indy, Space Mountain, Matterhorn and whatever else you can fit in from 8am to 10am? Bonus points if I can fit in Big Thunder too!
    Thanks!

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  9 месяцев назад +1

      Probably that order you listed. It’s the least amount of backtracking and also mostly covers the rides from longest waits to shortest waits for that time of the morning. Meaning you’re better off getting rides like Indy done first (after Haunted) because 1-2 hours later might be double the wait time.

    • @matt515o

    Did your kids find Haunted Mansion to be scary?

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  9 месяцев назад +1

      No. It’s more whimsical than scary. I’d find the original version to be more on the creepy side and they’ve never been bothered by it either.
