I've been attending/ viewing the Florida Classic since the 80's when it was in my hometown of Tampa. We use to go to riverfront park to listen to the bands play before they headed off to the tampa stadium for the game. I've seen the '100 during the great years and the "not so great" years. I can honestly say, they are coming back!!! Congratulations FAMU Marching 100. We are proud of you all.
This might be the best show of the end season circuit in the SWAC. Most bands wouldn’t attempt to rotate a Diamond this M100 gladly added motion. Most bands stray away from animation; this M100 made that rattler strike. That’s hott no matter how you flip it. The concert selection was perfect and it seems the M100 simply understood the assignment. Maybe some tempo and phasing issues in some places, but none of which detracted from the entertainment factor in anyway. This crowd loved the M100 here and it showed. Great job, great sound, impeccable thought into show planning. Proud of you M100 21.
“Blame it on Mary McLeod Bethune.” He’s talking about that jacked up formation that it took BCU 4 minutes to make, and then the everyone had to wait 2 minutes for that crappy recording to play. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Furthermore, you have to admire how this edition of the M100 took up the tasks, not only of showmanship and musical tone fidelity, they also went head first into battle in a conference which most detractors expected them to fail. This M100 made the SWAC’s most powerful so called titans bleed and fall; they stole crowds left and right; they sliced through false narratives created by bands who base their fame on the internet 🌚, all while bringing world class entertainment and going global numerous times. All of this during the worst global health crisis in over 100 years. Like who you like, but give this band their flowers. The staff and students of the M100 deserve that and so much more. Hubba 21. I’m getting participation trophy vibes. Them formations were not clean lol. Not even the opening set. Yeah the sound was on point but they always fall short when it comes to field pageantry.
I need to find a windless version of this...damn that wind was kickin! lol thanks for the footage regardless though. FAMU is saving HBCU halftime shows ...FOR ME, halftime with this band continues to be entertaining with a creative drill, excellent slow song selection and a well thought out dance routine that get a great a crowd response. You just don't see shows like this that much anymore with everyone focusing on blowing loud in the stands/sideline and a average halftime show going through the motions. I said what I said...FIGHT ME...props to the 100...I enjoyed this show....it was fire and that is from someone that does not attend either school. FYI, I still see a MEAC band on the field...and ain't nothing wrong with that ;)
Not their best show but I will say The 100 missed a perfect opportunity to avenge for the bird shot at them a couple years back. Chipman is doing a great job with that program.

This was a better show than Cookman. The drill was sloppy. No offense but I thought the diamond was a 🐈 at first. The tides has shifted and FAMU is starting to become themselves once again. Although I've heard that concert piece played better as well.
I'm thinking the same thing....soon they will be back up to 300 close to 400 and the legacy is right back where they left off before the dm issues they had a few years back. I'm waiting of BCU (BCC back in my day) to come back to deadly territory too. Seem like the past 10 or 15 years HBCU bands have focused on blowing loud vs a crowd pleasing halftime. The Florida Classic back in the day was the ULTIMATE throw down...me as a Hamptonian looked forward to it.
@@jymarkolacey4914 I wish bands today would stop that....its just HBCU tradition for the first performing band to kneel on the sideline and watch the other bands show. For US (HBCU's) halftime is a battle for who's has the better show. Watch the other band perform and start packing up when they are exiting the field after the dance routine.

That was a nice show, but may I fact check… he said “The consistency, from 1946 to 2021”, but he forget to subtract 2013 🤔. The arrogance 🙄; I don’t know who’s worse… y’all or your daddy DeathSantis 🤦🏾♂️.
@@heydre6267 anytime money is used inappropriately it’s HORRIBLE! But let’s not act like that hasn’t happened on FAMUs campus at all ever…. But it has …. My cousin was part of the audit team in 2007 and 2014 when huge improprieties were discovered…. Lots of money as well. So don’t! We all need to be holding our HBCU schools accountable in that department. And frankly we could go tit for tat days! It’s that bad!
