We’re totally on the same page when it comes to favorite sheers- your nails but better look! I just got BEB from Olive & June, and I’m obsessed! Like you, I’ve never had any issues when it comes down to being streaky, etc. If I want a natural look, from taking a break from swatching all kinds of colors, sheers are my all time go to! BEB reminded me a bit of Essie’s “Dress Is More”, but Olive & June’s formula is perfection, and has taken the place of that! 🤭 I LOVE sheer baby pinks mostly. I have the Essie that you wore on your wedding day- G.G.... but after knowing how wonderful Olive & June’s formula’s are, I want to pick up, is it CCT? And, the Orly! You’re the one actually that influenced me into getting BEB, and I’m so happy you did!😃👌🏻💯💓 TY!😘

Pink Glove Service is the perfect base for a French manicure and I like RCG at 3 coats. I’m actually wearing it on my toes right now!!

I LOVE Gossamer Garments. It’s my go to when I just want something really simple that’ll go with everything and it’s great for when my nails are looking or feeling particularly damaged haha. I feel like it makes them look sooo much healthier.

I love the sheer collection by Essie. Bodice Goddess is a great one with a hint of lavender and Inside Scoop is a very pale pink.
Essie Mademoiselle and Trophy Wife are two of my favorites! And they don’t pull yellow or nude on my nails, which I often have trouble with. Also, Static Nails makes two sheer pale pink shades (don’t recall the names), and they are FABULOUS!!
OPI Passion is my favorite so far. I’m looking for a milky white and I think the Olive & June one you showed will be perfect.

OPI Put It In Neutral
A few years ago I complimented a lady wearing this beautiful neutral nail polish. Whenever I have it on I always get compliments. Before my go-to neutral color was OPI Bubble Bath.💕

@jaunty juli I love Pink Meringue by No 7, Boots own brand. I’ve also put drops of Funny Bunny (whiteish shade) from OPI into a clear nail base coat to mix my own! X
Funny enough, I have two version of ORLY Rose Colored Glasses. One (many years old) is labeled as French Manicure and it is a sheer peachy pink. More recently, I purchased a bottle (not labeled FM) that is a sheer baby pink. I have medium brown skin and they both look great on me!

I like Rose Colored Glasses the best too ! , I have a white polish from this line for the tips , just got Kick Glass by Orly and it looks nice !
essie TLC range is fabulous, my favourite is MINIMALLY MODEST SHEER, pink tone, no base or top coat and its a strengthener too, all in one. TINTED LOVE SHEER is beige tone with shimmer

For those who live in Europe, i recently bought French Manicure Pink from Hema and i love it! Works great and its super cheap too 😊 def recommend and you can play with how many coats for diff effects (its actually white and not pink but i prefer it that way personally haha).

If you haven't tried Zoya's Pink Perfector, I highly recommend. There are a couple Perfector colors to choose from based on your skin tone. Plus, a purple you can use for 1st coat if your nails are yellowed. You can mix/match to your liking. I'm fair/light. The pink one is perfect for me. For best results, use the whole Naked Manicure system. It really does help your nails grow. I'm not a huge fan of the matte top coat in the kit, but if you want a more natural look, it works. Just apply a thin, even coat. Or, it can look streaky. Thanks for the suggestions!

The purple was perfect! I used a pale Essie polish over it and I’m so pleased.

Got the Orly. Thank you for a sheer that doesn’t streak on yellow tone skin and a wash of color. Now if I can get my the O&J colors which are always sold out.

I actually am loving Londontown’s Nail Illuminator..2 coats and it’s the perfect sheer milky white for me…no top coat needed and lasts for over a week
These polishes are so pretty
My fave nail look! Some of my favourite sheers are: Essie Vanity Fairest, Essie, Gossamer Garments (I hear you on that one!), Essie Inside Scoop, Essie Sheer Luck, Essie Mademoiselle, OPI Care to Danse (very sheer pale lavender. sooo gorgeous but sadly discontinued [OPI please bring it back, or an identical dupe?]) and Deborah Lippman Baby Love. Also, Julie, have you tried a name polish thinner for your older bottle of Gossamer Garments? I use Opi's and love it. It has prolonged the life of all my polishes.
I really like EC by O&J too! Perfect sheer for me.

I love olive and june! I got sc a rich burgundy brown wine color. I will have to get some sheer shades next.
I used to make this by adding drops of white to a clear one it was very good.

Thanks for the video it’s just what I was searching for! 💅🏽 For some reason when I wear these types of sheer polishes they chip super easily on my nails even when applied with base and top coat😕and doesn’t last as long as with a pigmented polish. Do you have any tips for this?
Essie 'Gossamer Garments' I know it is part of the the gel couture line, instead of the gel couture top coat, can we use seche vite topcoat or any topcoat with it?

Essie Skinny Dip is one of my favorites
This is my favorite nail look. Essie has a lot of these. I started with "Hi Maintenance" but once I ran out I tried the gel cotoure "Sheer Fantasy". It looks like your OPI one only with a jelly like formula. Highly recommend!!!
Essie's Sheer Fantasy is my fave for the natural nail look, if you do 2-3 coats and you have long nails it looks almost like natural baby boomer looks.

I've had a few close calls in the past, and I've learned the importance of wearing Softgle
Hard gel - you can get brush on clear builder and a lamp. Best stuff ever. No staining from chemicals. Doesn't come off with acetone when you are doing someone else's nails.

CND Negligee, a soft sheer pink with some opalescence... similar to OPI Rosy Future, but better.

Opi rosy future is a nice sheer pinkish polish. It's irridescent and has a little bit of purple in it
OPI “Bare My Soul” beautiful pinky nude sheer color!
My fave is OPI Put in in Neutral. I use just one coat of this for the perfect nude with a very slight hint of pink.
ive been trying to find it or one like it, i love the way the gel looks does the shellac look the same/similar? theyre not really supposed to sell the public a gel polish so i cant buy it :(

I haven’t looked for this particular color in a while, because I still have a couple in my stash. I know they had both a regular and a gel version and the color looked exactly the same.

Every sheer polish I’ve ever tried is impossible to put on without streakiness. Always so disappointing. Is there a secret to applying it?
I've not had that problem with the Olive and June polishes (I have both colors she shows here). I don't know if its their formula or their fat bush - but it works. Their top coat is really nice too.
Try not to do tooo many strokes when painting. It’s hard if your brush is thin but yeah
Karisma Kris After you apply polish, make sure to flip you hand so that you can’t see your nail. I heard somewhere that if you this, it will help level out the polish and reduce streakiness. I think you have to wait like a minute or less. :)
@@satinstudies3292 yep that is the trick I use every time and it really gets rid of all the unevenness... it is annoying but worth it
load your brush with just enough polish to cover the whole nail, tilt the brush so that it spreads over your whole nail and *very softly* drag it over the nail, letting the polish pour onto the nail, going even slover at the edge, then flip your hand over, the palm up. Do this with every nail. Tested on ballet slippers. Also if your polish has started to get solid in the bottle, its over
Orly is such an underrated brand, not sure if it's the formula or brushes, but i seem to never have streaks with that brand
I'd like one that will be ready to go in one layer for when I'm in a hurry. Which one would you recommend? So one that is not too sheer.
