Sneb should never let anyone live this down, teapot, nike, they were all doom and all WRONG. Sneb called wing8 and his logic was spot on.
I'm glad I joined a guild that taught me raiding (ty Astralegend). With knowing the raids and eventually getting 3 full raid sets of armor I was able to teach my friends raids who were initially timid because of how "toxic" they heard the community was. They had fun and saw that the raiding community was not as toxic.
This is a good one. Personally I took a step away from my static back before wing 5 came back, and exclusively used the LFG for raids when I returned to the game, was able to complete coalesence from just pugging groups and learning the fights from online resources, it wasn't until later that I learned about raid academy which is the best pick up group discord.
In actuality I feel pugs are better than statics for players who already know the content. Sure they are less consistent and you still end up getting people who don't know what's going on, but if you do find that person, you can just kick them, fill, and move on. With statics there's a whole juggling game of flexing the people who can multiclass to cover for people who aren't there yet; sometimes it just completely halts the run.
I'm looking forward to wing 8, but there has to be an LI sink introduced for sure.
I love Raid Academy! It's what got me into raiding and made me realize that raiding is entirely possible.
1:16:03 I wonder if there is a possibility to create the same entrance portal of Fractals but for Raids where you can choose the raid from a List ( I know there is the Aerodrome but the Aerodrome only gives you a HUB with bunch of gates, I wan't a Portal entrance with a List of Raids to choose like Fractals).
And when the List of Raids show up you can choose who to advertise for with a Check list : Tier 1 Players ( 0 - 5 kills) Tier 2 ( 5 - 20) Tier 3(21+) Tier 4 ( 10 +CMs of all encounters) or Mark 4 boxes and advertise for everyone, and for that, you can make new Archievments that count the times that you have killed the Final boss of each raid encounter and you can only check the T2 raid LFG if you have the amount of kills but if the Leader of the group decide to post for T1-2-3 you can see the Msg in the LFG Tier 1-2-3. (Yea you might spam Wing 1 to get the last boss kill, but you can do the same for Fractals spamming 1 and keep going up)
The new count kill should not count past kills and with that MAYBE you will have more LFG groups trying to get new kills for the AP, and everyone starts from 0 kills and when you reach the amount of kills for Tier 3, that unlocks the Tier 4 CM progression.
When I was new to raiding and the UI prompt to join the instance won't appear, they told me to go to just go to Wing 4. None of the portals say "Wing" on it so I had to do a guessing game where W1 starts. 😅
It was just a funny first encounter with raiding and Im pretty sure a lot of first timers got lost too. If they're gonna give raids attention again, raid portals can really use a touch-up.
I run into pug W1s in the training LFG that are Spanish or Portuguese fairly often in NA. Normally they are stuck with cannons with Sabetha.

Ive played about 6.5k hours since launch, still don't really wanna do raids. People are annoying, need more 5 man content

I was a main pvt gear guard with trooper runes for shout build had 0 complaints til 2019ish when doing t4s where some random yelled about my dps, where the other teammates were like who cares he's keeping ur hp above 90% for your Scholar runes and he's the first to rez you since they can't kill him. That's when I stopped doing t4s. I do agree some of us vets from 2012 got used to staying g in pvt cuz that was the go to. Like I learned to use that gear on my necro cuz a friend that did fractals 60+ before the tier system said it was the only way to survive. So it just takes willingness really to change and grow with the times and sometimes we're too stubborn for our own good lol

@@GBEWgw2 power vitality toughness which is now known as soldiers stats. We used it many years ago for world bosses, wvw, dungeons, specially on the low hp classes. It was the easiest exotic stats to get, 400k karma got you 5 pieces from the temple merchant's in core game. It's pretty much a useless set of gear now lol.but that's part of the problem now too many gear choices with 85% of them being useless now, since they've added better options.

35:04 The guy that you guys describe in the LFG asking for boon Dps sounds like me every day 2 hours after reset in NA for the last 7 years, I'm not sure if It was me the person who posted that lfg and said that but maybe I was, and if it was me, I do not regret saying that :D and I'm proud of that. A person who doesn't know how to read maybe doesn't know how to count , if he doesn't know how to count then there is a possibility that he is a terrible Dps because he doesn't know he is doing bad dps. With that logic I dodged a bullet, a person who doesn't know how to read the LFG and try to impose their will over mine, specially when I'm the one forming the group and/or tagging up, is always a red flag, not worth the time, there are more players out there, they are not so special.
Btw, asking only boon dps is better than the 5K UFO-20K UFO or Tittle that most people ask.
36:10 It is not a problem of "Both sides". It is very simple: one person is asking a specific role and the other person is not reading and not bringing the role that is asked, " BOON DPS, ALAC DPS" what part of that is not clear?.
For example, When someone post a Job vacancy, " Hospital X needs a Family Physician" . Do you see construction workers applying to that ? No, why? because everyone should know how to read and apply for what is required when it is that specific. Even Neurosurgeons doesn't apply for Family Physician position, and you could say, but , Both of them are doctors, physicians, both of them have the DPS in their name Alac Dps, Boon Dps, DPS. NOOOO it is not the same. Read.
