A Serious Conversation About Cancer hosted by Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation brought together leading cancer experts to answer questions about the latest advances in cancer research, prevention and treatment. The event was hosted at the Franklin Institute on December 7, 2023, by David Marshall, a board member in both organizations, and his wife Sandy. Panelists included Robert Uzzo, MD, MBA, FACS, President & CEO of Fox Chase Cancer Center; Jonathan Chernoff, MD, PhD, Fox Chase Cancer Center Director; Nobel Prize Winner William G. Kaelin Jr., MD, Sidney Farber Professor of Medicine at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School; Yung S. Lie, PhD, President & CEO of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation; and Jennifer M. Kalish, MD, PhD, the Lorenzo “Turtle” Sartini Jr. Endowed Chair in Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome Research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
