Yarns held double or paired: This trend is lovely and great for yarn shops. However, suggestions (substitutions) for single yarns would be so helpful. I’m sure you would sell yarn regardless, because the (lower) cost difference would encourage more knitters to buy patterns and yarns. Much love to you both ❤
You can knit the Flourish bandana without a stranding yarn, for sure! We showcased it as the Tama is such a fun new yarn that isn't really practical to knit on its own, it's particularly for stranding. We often help customers replace two yarns with one, we generally say if you can get the pattern gauge with a single yarn and you like the fabric, go for it :)
I haven’t even finished watching but had to jump on to say I think you’ve found the perfect location in the shop to record! I’m really loving your camaraderie too ❤
thank you so much! We rearranged the store to take better advantage of the windows and light, and coincidentally it opened up a great corner for filming, we're happy about it!
You both are so talented, I love all your projects and your suggestions, the yarn is so great. I wish I would knit more and I want to knit all the projects you show. Love your prodcast and always happen to see it pop up! Hope to see a new one soon 😊
I love watching you ladies and could not help myself..purchased your digital book, and I'm so excited... I can't wait to see more projects .. all the best... a former NDG gal...
Yay! Glad to see you both! I’m searching (and researching) yarns for summer knits. You’ve given me more ideas! Patterns… camisole or Tee or …. I just need to start on either style, quick-er knitting (unless on a fine yarn w size 2 or 3 needles…)! Glad to hear you really like Yarn Citizen floof! (which sounds delicious). I bought a sweater quantity of Yarn Citizen DK, wool + alpaca for top down raglan v-neck cardigan, excited to start. Thanks for a fun, jam packed episode!
Happy to read we inspired you for summer knitting! There are so many gorgeous fine-gauge patterns out there, but it's also fun to play with open loose textures and layering: so many options! Happy knitting and thanks so much for watching 🥰
Oh my goodness. Am only a few minutes into this and already have 3 projects that I want to start. Wish I was back in Montreal where I grew up. So much great style in your city.
I enjoyed meeting you ladies at The Perfect Blend. We love your book. I’m so glad your podcast is back. I want all the yarn! Especially the Coastline. . . Already looking for a summer pattern with a cable or two.
Thank you so much for watching, we had a fantastic time at the Perfect Blend! So glad you love our book, that means a lot to us, and hope you have a chance to try Coastline :)
When you held up your project in Knitting for Olive silk in olive, it looks exactly like my current project which is “Violet” by Jessica McDonald. It is a lovely yarn! And I love your Donner- one of my favorite patterns ( I have 3)
Ooooh that's a lovely project! The Tonight Top is quite different with a more fitted silhouette and shaped armholes for a tank top, but the Violet looks like it might need to hop in the queue... happy knitting and thanks for watching!
I would love to see your sweater as a kit, Stephanie! It is so Merimekko ! I am working on the Channel pullover from your book - first sleeve almost done! 🇨🇦🇫🇮
So much fun. I grew up with embroidery on everything. A bit of a stretch but have you checked out Sajou for needles? I loved my visit there when I was in Paris.
We used to carry Sajou needles, they're truly special! It's been a while since we've been able to get them but we'll keep an eye out... a visit to the store would be a dream destination. Thanks for watching!
I love my new book- any suggestions for the perfect yellow to create a composition book sweater? I’m excited about making that notebook/legal page sweater!
oh wow what a great idea! Our Bon Tricot Jolly DK in Pineapple is the perfect legal pad colour and Steph used this yarn for her version of the Composition Book : www.espacetricot.com/us/bon-tricot-jolly-dk-50g.html?id=100149323&quantity=1
This is the Baccarat Banque - it's a pre-ET pattern from me - so search for it on Rav by the pattern name or under Stephanie Earp. The project is under the Espace Tricot Ravelry profile with my colour and mod details! 🥰
