I'm not a huge fan of Bakemonogatari. I like it just fine but it's never been special to me. In January of 2017 some friends took me to the movies to watch all three Kizumonogatari parts back to back. I loved it. The animations are fantastic. The gore, the fan service and the humor is all right up my alley. I had some good laughs and even some feels. I wanted to edit to it to show that the Monogatari universe can be more than memes and lolis. Even if you don't care about the rest of the series, check out these three prequel movies. They work stand alone!
I first heard Waving Goodbye from Sia when watching The Neon Demon in 2016. I wanted to edit this song right away but only had the idea for this AMV about a year later. If you have watched the Neon Demon you might see how it deals with topics similar to Kizumonogatari. If not i won't spoil it for you.
I hope you enjoy this AMV. I had to halt editing for some time to finish my studies but now i got my master's degree. I'm back. Thank you to all new subscribers for supporting my last AMV Blood Oath. You changed this channel and made my day every day for the past four months. It will probably take until summer of 2018 before i edit Lupin III again. But i'm not done with that franchise yet. One of my upcoming AMVs will be to Your Name.

The Monogatari series is a lot more than memes and lolis -- take it from a guy who's sat through all of it (Christ, reading all those subtitles while focusing on the trippy imagery is murder on the eyes.) I'm glad you were able to enjoy the films, and that it inspired such a great video like this.
I haven't watched past season 2. Like i said i like it just fine. But my preferences lie elsewhere. Kizu is great though for the most part.

What i meant is, i agreed with what you said in your post. Anyway, zest is a friend. Glad you like the AMV. The scenes in the end are a little over the top, but one of the reasons why i wanted to edit to this Anime.

Is immer etwas schwer für mich zu verdauen fand die Combo jetzt aber nicht schlecht.
Mir hat etwas mehr Impact auf die ganzen sehr präsenten Beats gefehlt, da hätten ein paar mehr Effekte zum WubWub gefehlt für mein Gefühl.
Denke auch das man wohl mit der Gatari-Serie im allgemeinen vertraut sein muss um das Video wirklich zu verstehen/würdigen zu können weil Story hab ich da zwar jetzt schon erkannt aber zb der Kampf in der Schule gegen den langhaarigen Dude oder auch das mit dem blonden Kreuzdude war etwas... out of place...
Dachte als erstes das es sich um die Blonde und den Hauptdude drehen würde, allerdings reisen die anderen Kämpfe und die Brillenlady das alles etwas raus bzw stehen für mich als nicht Wissenden etwas out of context ^^"
Im generellen solide, aber für mich halt jetzt leider kein Spark obgleich die Combo sie schon iwo ergänzt ö.ö
