That is so freakin awesome - to see a female in this field!
I know there are several women out there who work in HVACR, but it's fascinating to know that there are women out there who aren't intimidated by the dangers involved in this industry, nor by the grunts, moanings, and trash talking done by men who are seemingly less intelligent.
From all of us men in this field who are filled with compassion and respect, we welcome you all with open arms. 🫂 😊

@@ParabellumX That is my biggest problem. Is men thinking I do not know what I am talking about my Father ran his own HVAC/R business for 35 years I know the ends and outs and worked for him until he passed away earlier this year. My mother was his main ductwork installer and I started in ductwork when I was 15. I will be 38 now. Then some guys are like you really know your stuff.

@@femaletechofhvac, I'm 43, and, thanks to Curtis here (along with Brian Orr, from HVAC School; Craig Migliaccio, from A/C Service Tech, and a few others), watching their RUclips videos inspired me to go to college and learn the trade! 😊
I'm not joking when I tell you that I literally developed a passion for this trade overnight. I don't know what got me so interested all of a sudden, but I think it's because of the intricacy of the A/C and furnace systems in themselves.
I love watching their videos and seeing them arrive at a different customer's house and being presented with a different set of problem(s).
I've always loved a challenge, so I think it has a lot to do with being able to arrive at a customer's house and saying to yourself, "Okay, solve the puzzle.
What's wrong with this unit?..." 🤔
And solving the puzzles in this field rewards you handsomely. 😏

Good for you Kristy. I've got zero problems with females in the industry and anyone who does is probably intimidated and worried you'll show them up. As a service supervisor, I give zero damns what anyone is other than competent.

Vivint smart home thermostat. Like a nest connects to your phone this one connects to the alarm system and their phone. I've installed hundreds of those in my time working for Vivint. Never had many issues with them unless they were ebad from day one. Kinda like a Nest they can be touchy sometimes. Much prefer the HVAC trade vs Security systems

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your wife 🦃 I enjoy your channel, but I wish sometimes I could tell you things as I am watching; like on the high efficiency unit you just looked at that 15 amps is about like running a blow dryer when old ones could be as much as 60 amps at start up. Or in the one with the loud induction fan how it would be hard to put a trap on the condensate line due to it being on the floor, but it needs one. On the gas line one the safest thing to do would probably be to just run a new gas line from the meter to the package unit. Touching old connections could lead to other leaks-and that crawl space was to low to do much work in it. Keep on Trucking!!
