It is amazing that purchasing thrifted items are almost as expensive as what you see at high end stores. Here in California we saw price increases back the earlier part on 2022!! Now I’m so grateful that I can have a large inventory saved in storage at my own home. I craft for resale, gifts and personal use. Elysia & Philip .. I just love your determination and creative sense to come up with just wonderful ideas❤ I find that going to garage sales is now a better source of product.
I have the exact same jewelry box in my closet. It’s so special to me as it was a gift from my husband probably forty years ago. I store my sentimental treasures in, it jewelry from both of my grandmothers and things my children gave to me. Please if the hurricane hits and your creek floods please stay off the bridge as it can easily get damaged and become unstable especially since it was flooded not long ago. Stay safe. Love the wall and new sign! Very classy. I sell vintage and antiques on Etsy, and have both restored and refinished antiques in years past. I’m a big fan of Restore-A-Finish for filling in nicks and slightly worn finishes in stained wood (if you don’t want to paint it). Also, a trick to clear dust or lint out of old jewelry box felt is to cut a few strips of either packing or masking tape and work it over the felt (make sure the felt isn’t loose). Works great for a clean look if there are no stains. Thanks for the tutorial on making chalk paint; looking forward to trying it. 😊

I live in a small town in Ontario and the thrift store prices have gotten out of hand. It's almost cheaper to buy at the stores now. It's really irritating since people donate everything and the stores are marking the items up to insane prices. Those stores are supposed to be for people that don't have alot of money.
