You had me for a minute on the "new way to fold" joke! I test drove this bike and came away really impressed. I completely agree that $999 is a screaming deal for a bike with hydraulic brakes, functional derailleur, powerful assist motor, AND it folds to fit in the back of any car. I'm contemplating trading in the Radrover for one of these. $2100 for a Radrover6 step-through vs. $999 for the Lectric? I'd go with the Lectric.
Have a 3.0 with cable brakes which work great but the juice brakes are a nice upgrade. Love that they kept the same price point. I also have the cargo/pizza box carriers and soft coolers. They have a very nice line of accessories. Thanks
Got my 3.0 last week, gave my original XP 1.0 to my daughter, and got the Trike for my wife. At the price points, great quality and everyone gets a bike.
I just got the 3.0 long range with the black Friday deal and oh, man! This bike has real power and is a blast to ride. This is not a folding electric bike. This is an amazing electric bike for the price that has the feature to fold and easily store. Anyone looking for an ebike should absolutely consider Lectric.
Product damaged in shipping. Called support 3 days in a row, no answer! Emailed support with pictures of the damage. Their reply was oh u can fix it yourself. Me: I can return it as damaged/ inoperable. They decided to send the mangled parts. Shipping order email received said 60 day to ship. 60 days later email stating shipped 24 hrs. later email stating lost shipment, no movement for 30 days. No reply’s to emails for 4 days now I call support 3 times a day 45 min on hold each time, sometimes they pick up & hang up in 1 sec. If you buy something from them, make sure you can go there to get proper support of avoid like the plague!
Wow, that is a nice ride especially with hydraulic brakes too. Although I do own a 14" Ebike with dual disc brakes and I go for long rides and the brakes work great. Great review guys.
@@spinaltap111 very good nice speed good control. Be easy on the hydraulic brakes they are sensitive. Small squeeze until you get used to them. They are nutt brakes.
I really want the XP Lite, but for $200 more gets you so many upgrades, can't make up my mind, Do you have any knowledge of whether they are going to update the Lite? Thankyou!
I'm 5'4" and need to commute 4 miles using throttle only My current regular bike takes me 45 minutes and I'm exhausted upon arrival I need good recommendations
What do you get for your money if you buy say a $3k bike? $4k? Are the components in the Lectric comparable? Are the more expensive bikes ripping you off? What corners is Lectric cutting to keep prices down? Or have companies been overcharging all along?
Usually get more power, and better/more smooth pedal assist. Also a lot of those expensive bikes use stuff like carbon fiber and other premium grade stuff. They also might spend more of an effort towards on being aerodynamic or just looking cooler. Those features are all great but tons of people don't really need all that. that's where Lectric thrives. The XP is a solid ebike that is neither the fastest nor the prettiest, but it's good enough and is at a great price point. Combine that with the really good customer service it's no wonder it's so popular.
Hello, Nightmare with Lectric XP 3.0. My bike came with a pre-popped rear tire, plus it won't start. I called and I asked about returning the bike when I spoke to someone on the phone shortly after receiving the bike. They did not mention that I only had 14 days to return the defective bike (not starting and flat rear tire). Instead of explaining the policy I was sent replacement parts which of course take time to get to me. By the time I received the replacement parts and installed them and the bike still doesn’t work I was past the 14 day period. Good customer service would have been to mention this policy to me when I asked about returning the bike. I have waited for over an hour just to talk with someone so I would expect to be given all the information I need after waiting so long. It appears that I may not have any option to return the bike at this point. It is completely impossible to send the bike back in it’s original packing materials per their policies on returns. You have to cut those materials off in order to unbox the bike. There is no way to remove it so that it would still be in tact. This policy is simply to make it more difficult to return defective products along with the completely arbitrary 14 day return policy. By sending me replacement parts and not mentioning this policy Lectric deprived me of my right to return the bike. Apparently I am not able to return my defective Lectric bike. Don't do it. Just don't. The Angryunboxer.
I received my 3.0 XP step thru with hydraulic brakes. The first thing I noticed is that the rims diameter is skinnier than 2.0 XP? is that normal? If so looks goofy..the tires is 20x3.0 but the rims is skinny.
Not sure in what world hydraulics are considered more reliable than mechanicals. Stronger, better modulation, less effort maybe, sure. But not reliability. Let a bike sit for a year, and there's zero chance mechanicals would change or not work. Decent chance hyds would have leaked.
#This is the best bike for under $2000 I think there could sell them for $1500 to $2300 he'll I would pay $ 1500 easy and just a couple months form now the 3.0 is going up to $1300.
Does anyone have trouble making turns? I notice this bike is not flexible in making turns. Not even sharp turns. I got injured a couple times when making turns.
@mrs.c5471 i use throttle most of the time. When turning, I brake and the speed I turned are around 5 mph. If I use PAS and having to turn it off, it's almost impossible for me to accelerate during a sharp turn. I think it's just the design of this bike. It's not meant for city streets.
@TomDavisVideo clearly you don't own this bike and nothing to offer in this conversation other than somehow being offended. Do you live in a bustling city say NYC or Chicago? Any idea how tight those streets are? This bulky bike won't move without PAS. With PAS on at low speed sharp corner turn, it's dangerous. This is made worse thanks to unreliable brake(lectric brake recall).
I work at a bike shop and this company is by far the worst company I've ever had to deal with. spend your money with an actual bicycle company. not one that just popped up to take your money and then will disappear just as fast.
This bike so so dang heavy, the folding just feels like a gimic when it would just be so much easier to lift the bike onto a bike rack. My brakes have been having so many issues and the odometer stopped working. Not great for daily use, dont buy this and invest a little more.
@@mrs.c5471 the problem is that it's heavy, the folding wasn't something I should have wanted in an ebike when looking to buy one. I should have just gotten a slimmer bike with a battery that attaches to the outside. And the heaviness is what's contributing to the brakes failing so quickly, it's so much bike to stop. I might have to get bigger brake discs
One important thing to bear in mind with these bikes is that their customer support is horrid. It took over a year for them to replace my 2.0 bike with a 3.0 after purchasing a broken 2.0. They will do everything in their power not to give you a refund and will ignore the fact that you are not pleased with their service. Other than that it is a pretty solid bike when it works.
$999 for a bike with a 10 amp hour battery. That’s like a porn star with a 3 inch …. $1200 with a still small 14 amp hour battery is the same price or more than comparable bikes with more power and larger batteries. Do your own research.
Lectric lie about the range of the bike. i purchased one of their bikes and they do not help me with my issue!!! do not buy any e-bikes from this company. their range information is not ture and they are not helping me its been 4 weeks and they are still ignoring me.
Are there any seats for the passenger kit that might have any kind of back rest? I want to purchase to occasionally ride with my child for local trips.

When you said you were a Door Dasher. How many hours will the Long-Range battery last before it goes empty?
My electric bike battery won't charge why?
Do I need a new battery?
Is anyone answering?
2.0 still going strong even after 2000+ miles ! Great work Lectric !
1228 km on my lectric xp 1.0 bulletproof bikes

How long do you think a fully loaded XP with the long range battery could go just pushing it on walk mode? Has anyone tried this?

Since this has fat tires. Can you ride these on the snow?
Has anyone compared this to radrunner plus? Important for me to be able to carry a passenger and torn between the 2
I'm sorry but those keys hanging below the battery is absolutely ridiculous
Is this bike for Kids? it looks so small
is the battery locked? or can it be locked so it cannot be stolen?
You remove it and take it with you if that is a concern.

do you remove the battery to recharge it, or do you connect to a wall plug?
I think u can do both
Whats the watt size
