Hello how are you I have a question ? Do you think Deos 2 with Loop Extreme Hunter is good for a depth of 2 meters? How is it suitable for mountainous areas? And is it better than other devices of the same price or is there a more suitable option?

Hi yes the extreme hunter is good for 2 metres, mountainous areas maybe not? I can imagine flat level ground with suit the dual coil best.
The Garrett gti 2500 runs a two box deep seeker also but I think the xp extreme hunter is the best sat the moment.

I've been using the D2 for a little over a year now, before that I ran the E-trac and and deus 1.. recently picked up a manticore to see for myself if the hype was real.. and I have to say for the land I detect on the manticore just pips the D2.. I enjoy the easy quick action buttons, discrim on / off I like the I.D screen and "Depth" audio compared to the D2.. where the D2 out performs the manticore I have to say is on coins in general.. I often get subtle iron grunts using the manticore on 1700-1800's copper and 1921-1950's half silvers which does really throw you off some targets. I've never had that problem with the D2 it's either a coin or a moo tube everytime and it let's you know.. with the manticore.. I've had mootubes come in from 25 all the way up to 65.. with the D2 they are always in the low 70's so you have a better idea before you dig.. great video, and a great test bed really makes it seem like a normal iron infested field that we detect a lot of the time!

Thanks@@angrycupra8636, I agree the manticore does have a tendency to iron grunt alot of targets that are sometimes not that deep as well. We were detecting last week and a pal asked me to check a signal which was a typical good with the iron grunts but you knew it was a good target, not sure why it does it so much, it’s actually in the lastest video that’s just out today.
Also with id’s I’ve found the manticore pretty consistent on large copper coins and a highlight for me was banging out a hammered in plough at 11” which was very impressive for the manticore, I’m sure the D2 would’ve got it but would’ve been easy to miss using full tones.
They really are very close but like you say the manticore is real nice to use and swing, even with the 15” coil it’s so light.
And yes my test garden is a tough one, imagine all those hammereds that are hiding! I think the 9” coil for the manticore would breeze through my test garden as well..
      Thanks😊

Your slightly contaminated testbed definitely simulates real life detecting much better than using super clean ground for the tests, as you have to focus much harder to isolate the signals from the contamination on the peripheral of the targets. Oh, with regards growing your channel. I watched a video a few days ago where the guy said RUclips shares the video with 10 other people for every like you get and for every comment it shares it with another 100 people. So, peeps definitely need to like and subscribe to your channel and comment, as you make really good videos!

I didn’t know that so thanks for the info!
And yes your right my garden is very similar to some of my fields which goes to show how easy it is to miss some signals and why it’s important to grid those hotspots.
One of my best coins was a quarter stater found with a deus 1 lite with no screen and it was a one way signal, so easy to miss.
Thanks for the kind words and glad you’re enjoying the videos!
      Cheers😊👍

Closet thing I’ve got is an xp orx which will be coming up on the test bed soon, I sold my Deus 1 when the D2 arrived, loved the D1👍

Great vid, thanks (just subbed) I'm trying to decide between the 2 machines for my upgrade from a vanquish 540. Really tricky, have leant both ways over the months. Think the D2 may be edging it for a variety of reasons including weight but separation in trashy areas does seem a bit better on the D2 and lots of customisation. Tough call.....

      Thanks for the sub jonsessions2121👍
Hand in hand there is nothing between the D2 and the manticore weight wise, the manticore is very nice to swing and you can feel they have worked hard to make it as light as possible..
As for separation it’s very close between both machines.
D2 has the edge for customisation and tones selection but the manticore can stop you better on a lot of targets I’m finding.
D2 is a lovely machine though so tough decision, good luck😊👍

Also take in consideration having to charge the poorly designed coil charging. I've even purchased the clip-on charging adapter with the led readout and still get burnt on not having the coil charged up ready to go. I use the deus2 X Y screen to compensate the manticore awesome tone readout. Hands down the deus2 is a lot more flexible for underwater and remote disconnect from the stem. But I've found way more valuable targets with a lot less trash target digs than with the deus2. If you love dialing in the button pushing the deus2 is for you. If you want less dialing in and spend more time digging target keepers the manticore is the one.

I’ve never used the D2 underwater, but I’m sure it’s in a league of its own.
I don’t have any trouble with the charge clip at all with the D2 and yes I agree there is more setup with the D2 and you could argue that the manticore gets the job done with less fuss.
Both great machines and a tough call between them both, loving the manticore at the moment.. cheers

Hello, I think you need to learn how to use the DEUS 2 before doing tests because there it is unstable, you do not make ground balance adjustments or frequency scans the program is not adapted to the terrain . test to be completely redone. for the manticore it's the same ground balance setting frequency scan

    • @DIRTBROSDETECTING
      @DIRTBROSDETECTING  2 месяца назад

Thanks @@marceloudart3797 I understand where you are coming from, I generally do not ground balance the manticore in the uk and same with the D2, sometimes I will ground balance the D2 but rarely get wildly different outcomes.
Unfortunately there is not a patch of clean ground to balance the machine against in my garden?
I’m no expert although I’ve been using the D2 since release, D1 before and know what works on our land, if I can hit a cut quarter at 8” that’s good enough for me😀I’ll try a ground balance and will report back, you never know!
      Thanks for the comment👍

Da werden die standartprogramme so verschlimmbessert das man die Signale gar nicht mehr gescheit definieren kann…
