Could you do something on skin brightening for semi darker skins? I used the proactive wipes (which they don’t sell anymore) and it basically gave me splotchy lights spots that are semi permanent now. It over lightened.
Thank you for your honesty!! Growing up i had no idea about skincare and would just copy what my friends were using/ what was marketed at me. Finally at 27 i have found your channel and can start to improve my skin with the right products!!
Loreal products work for many people. They are one of the biggest cosmetics company with plenty of doctors behind their research. If it doesn't work for you that's fine. I'm sure there are plenty of people that it does work for, otherwise they'd be out of business.
Thank you Dr. Rattan for breaking down the big names they used in skincare. We buy these products, we cannot pronounce the ingredients written on the containers. I’m happy to be enlightened
The Ordinary's products is fantastic and very afordable. I am 63, started using this 2 months ago and i am blown away. I used L Oreal but found them watery and really useless, so i tried Essential Oils for a while, nothing beats The Ordinary and Avene together, that works wonders for me
Just a random guy here(32). I've been using this for nearly a decade, I'm confident that it has helped my facial skin age better. I can just compare my face to my neck, the latter which I never applied the cream to. Keep in mind, I always bought the spf30 anti uv one so a lot of it could have simply been the sun block element.
Are you serious??No of these products works, just bullshit that women fall for. Big corporations makes billions a year in profit.I am the winner of this game i own shares in these companys.

I have been using l'oreal products including a few of the ones you mentioned since I was 22- I am 32 now- I started taking care of my skin at a really early age, it works for me... I love it and I SWEAR by it... I checked the ingredients and some are different than the ones I am using, maybe the formulation is different from one country to another.
as Dr.V always says in her videos, you may not see the side effects immediately but the process of damage is still happening in your skin, which means you may start to see the effects years on later. just be careful.

I just found this video and I learned so much. I've been using L'Oreal products since I was 13, which my mum bought it and introduced me to skin care. She bought the Hydra gel and I've been using it until it was discontinued. Now I'm using their Hyaluronic Acid and Centella essence, at 27 I have to say my skin don't have that much problems.

I worked for the body shop for 2 years. A major selling point for the drops of youth was that there was one sold every minute. I had to literally stop and rewind the loreal commercial about their revitalift product. I’m just over here thinking how sad is it that two brands by the same company have to use the same selling tactic to sell their products. Obviously people who don’t work for the body shop who’s never know this and just fall for it. Drops of youth does nothing. If you want something to work, get Botox...it’s only $11-13 per until and goes on sale at medspas all the time and it will actually work unlike anything sold by loreal or the body shop is my advice.
Thank you for your videos. I have been struggling with eczema on my neck, eyes and ears for a couple of years now. I thought it was my hormones. Following your instructions of fragrance free products, Im on week 2 now and I have seen a massive difference. I’m so grateful.
"It's just a list of irritating ingredients" LOL. I think this explains why so many men seem to have better skin despite their almost non-existent skincare. Women have been slathering their faces with expensive irritants packaged in shiny jars.
Women goes through hormonal sh*t. That’s why most of them have bad skin conditions. Skincare is great. And many ppl swear by L’Oréal. It’s all about finding what suits your skin (which is a difficult part). I’ve been using The ordinary and my skin is great but it’s getting a little dry lately. So I’m trying to get back to L’Oréal again cause this serum is ✨✨ I’ve used the red bottle around 2 years ago and I loved it. That’s why I’m looking through videos cause this 1.5 serum is different than red bottle.

FM & AM Hi, I hope you don’t mind but I could help? I’m completely addicted to my silk pillow cases. It’s not made much difference to my skin, but it’s changed my life as I have long curly hair..........Wow no tangled mess, and no knots. No frizz & my hair doesn’t shed as much. The #1 reason why I don't like L'Oréal is because they put too much fragrance on everything even on their lip sticks 🙃. Thank you for all this amazing advice
Dr Rattan. Thank you for your expert knowledge. Easy to understand delivery. You say how it, how it is without unnecessary words. It is a pleasure to see your beautiful face. How do you find time to give us such good advice. And as someone else requested, please bring out your own brand. 👍☺️
Thanks so much for this explanation about L'OREAL products. Both my mum and I always use those products. Lately I felt my skin drying out by lunch time and I wounder why. Now I fully understand why. I will be switching products. Keep informing us about these products since the beauty industry is worth billions of dollers and we pay so much for them. From Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean).
I am 61 with GREASY ageing skin. I know it should be dry but I still have the greasy T zone that I’ve always had. I shy away from using anti ageing products because they feel too heavy and are too greasy. I wish there was someone like you for skin of no colour just dull, aging & tired skin.
Love your honesty! Please stay that way, as it is so hard to find good products that really work, besides my pockets aren't that deep :( Love you videos!
Hi Doctor Vanita. So glad to have you as a guide in our choice of products. I have been using the quinoderm face wash since i was 14 years old with salycilic acid. Today I am 40 years old and I still need to use this face wash. If i change my face wash i get severe acne. Why is this ?
Dr Vanita...you are so right about glycolic acid ...it damaged my skin so badly...if it had not been for your advice and help..I probably would have still been walking around with those burns.... Thanks so much really appreciate you..💕
I'm so glad you popped up on my recommended videos on to watch. I've been watching religiously for the past 2 weeks. You give such great information. I'd like to ask is it possible to get acne after age 45? Even if you haven't had acne in years? I wasn't much into skin care before but now I've gotten older, I noticed a grey tint that I hated on my skin. Since I started a skincare regimen, now I notice I have frequent breakouts. In my teens, I kinda understood what to do with my oily skin. Now, so many years later, having extremely dry skin, I'm confused about the acne. Extremely confused since I'm now on the opposite side of the spectrum. Please help lol
My skin changed at 28 (now 39), always dry type, but at 28 I suddenly had acnes (which I didnt got at teenage). When I changed to more rich moisturizer, the acnes gone by themselves.. so reading ur comments, I think u need to find out more about hydrating your skin properly, learn from many videos about basic skincare and skin barrier, so u might find d suitable basic products (Im also just learning this past month, hahah)
I’m not sorry that we’re talking about the truth LaurieI need to know what’s up and they need to start doing better if they want us to use their products we vote with our money. Thank you so much Dr V you are changing the world. I am blessed so blessed to have found your RUclips channel.
Hi Dr V! Would it be possible for you to do a review on k-beauty brands, notably cosrx and klairs? These are pretty affordable options for most and I would like your opinion on these products!
Dr. Vanita Rattan The Hyperpigmentation Clinic yes! Can’t wait I’m so curious about your opinion especially for korean sunscreens...apparently their technology in sun protection is ahead of the west.
I've just decided to get into skincare and am so glad you are making these videos. I've taken your advice and already had good results within weeks. Skin care can be so overwhelming and you make it easy to understand :)
This page is the top standard on skincare in my book. I’ve seen several dermatologist pages, and I’m at the point that if their info conflicts with the information on this page, I’m not interested lol. Thankfully, a majority of information does align with this page.
That L’Oréal eye cream in the rose tone line is amazing as a corrector/eye cream/under eye primer, and a little goes a lot way. I absolutely love that stuff as an instant result to provide a little correcting because of the salmon tone it is, and smooths fine lines, leaving a great canvas alone or under makeup. I don’t find any long term benefits from any of the rose tone line. The rose tone face moisturizer doesn’t have a lot of hydration and is way overpriced for what it does (which is just a very mild hydration like any face moisturizer provides- no long term benefits to that either and no immediate benefit like correcting or anything. The L’Oréal. The L’Oréal Age Perfect glow renewal facial oil is amazing. It is a dry oil so not greasy at all, and of course if you use too much any oil will become greasy, but it is one of my favorites and I am a facial oil junky but picky as all heck because I want a benefit but not to interfere with my makeup or make me feel greasy at all. Another awesome product from L’Oréal is their Age Perfect golden balm in a jar (not to be confused with the 4 in 1 balm foundation, which is awesome also but the shade range is poor.) The Golden balm is awesome for VERY dry skin or as a very rich night time treatment. You need very little and gives the most plump hydration to the skin. I don’t know if they quit selling it or renamed or reformulated it, but if you can find the original and have very dry skin, you’ll love it.
@@vanitarattan iam 33 years old i have no skin care routine. My skin is full of acne . If I apply any cream I got rashes like I have sun burn. I can't apply sunscreen. I realy want to discuss with you can you please give me some advice.
My name is Aminé we dont need eye cream.. wat we r using on the face we can use around eye.. in case the cream wen applied to orbital eye area causes irritation n swelling of tears then u shd stop using it or use it little further from the waterline
L'Oréal love throwing denatured alcohol into virtually all their products. I stopped using any of their creams. I started using Paula's Choice. Would love to know what your thoughts are on this brand.
Hi! Some requests for future videos if possible: - at home (DIY) facial routine/treatments for anti-aging and/or sensitive skin; how to deal with pimples or breakouts around your period; discussion on professional facial trends (i.e. hydra-facial) and skin of color (what's good and what to avoid); summer skincare routine. thank you!
Thank you for this explanation Dr. V which makes a lot sense it’s not even helping with what it is marketing but putting in fragrance and making it smooth on the skin to fool the consumers. I have been using this brand for a long and started buying for my mom. Can you do a video of good products for 50 yr old which I am and older 60-70 my mom’s age. Thank you Dr. V!
Thank you Dr. Rattan for the effort you're putting in to help us understand our skin. I've just started watching your videos and it really helps me choose the product I should use. I'm 56 and had a fair complexion but for the past few years I started having dull yellow and dark complexion which is getting darker. I didn't know anything about melasma or pigmentation until I saw your videos. Can you also do a review on L'oreal Laser renew revitalift products please. Thanks
I watched this video after the damage was done. So i bought 3 packages or 35+ moisturizer for a bargain. And after a while i noticed some dark burn spots on my face! I adjusted my daytime regime to see what happened: i left out the vitamin C serum i used. and then i noticed that i didnt get any reaction. I can now only use this moisturizer safely after a layer hyluronic acid. But i will be looking for a different moisturizer or just go back to my trusted Olaz.
Thank you for this video!! I used get these products for my mom all the time!! Now I know better. Thank you for you efforts Dr V. This is a great channel!!
I respect your expertise, & glad you've been so honest about the ingredients as these products are so expensive, I nearly spent $AU128 to try 2 products but won't now
Hi thank u for your video on L'Oréal. It was very informative. Honestly speaking I tried their products but whenever I used their creams they always reacted on my skin. Today I know the reason why. Thank you again for the information. I am samreen from Pakistan.
Thank you once again Doc, we are really being robbed 😭please also consider Neutrogena and Clarins 🙏🏽. I love all your videos and I'm so sorry that you have any negetivity☹️
Just watched this video and now i understand why every time i applied revitalift cream on my face,it irritates, feels itchy even after months using it..worst is,i noticed my face start having ‘dark spot/pigmentation’....Truly sad....Thank You Dr V..hope my skin is not ‘beyond repair’😢.....
Great video. I love you being so honest about brands. I agree with you. L'Oréal is just good at marketing and employ celebrity ambassadors to promote the brand.
Hi Dr. Rattan. I love your channel, thank you for kindly sharing all this skincare content for W.O.C. Can u please do a review on Caudalie especially their vinoperfect range... Loads of love from Belgium
L’Oréal is the only brand that work on my skiing it fix my dinners and rosea I guess it digit something that helps and and also looks healthy and tighter
Thank you for the info about Loreal! Dr. V. Could you please create a dedicated video just on which oils are safe for skin of color? Example: jojoba, rosehip, argan, almond, tamanu, grapeseed, sunflower ..... Please, please. I trust your advice only. I’m scared of oils clogging my pores
As always you provide us with knowledge, I really take notes about % on products and what are the best for me... bottom line, I use cerave wash face, cerave cream, a formulation that urology send me, and azelaic acid fro ordinary at night and that since I been watching your videos, I change my routine, and is been changing my melasma to less notable.... thanks for all the info...
When you refer to thewhen it comes to ceriva the skin cleaner. That’s basically water in a bottle for 20 plus dollars. Takes only 2hrs to make 10000kgs and is bottled up in 3 hrs
I felt very lucky to found ur channel.. I m using lorial Paris age 20+ cream.. Since it promised to non Comedogenic... But still m afraid after watching this video... Most of us don't have any knwledge of Ingredients.. Please do a video about Indian brand like plum , Dr Seth and dot and key,
I am Latina With White skin from New Jersey and even tho you review products for dark skin , I think your are Brilliant with your knowledge and I still watch I wish you could review with both light and dark skin in mind as I love your channel and again your knowledge..
Thanks so much for this video. In terms of the glycolic acid how do you know if you've suffered a burn? I've use products with 5% glycolic and haven't experienced any noticeable issues. I value your opinion and offcourse don't want to be causing any damage below the dermis.
All lines like LaRoche Posay and Loreal ( these are 2 reviews I have watched), you have only picked fragranced products, when both these lines have plenty of fragrance free stuff. It would make sense to include a few even if you dont think they are best sellers.
Thank you for this information. There are many derms that proport, that if formulated correctly, denature alcohol is not as bad as many make it out to be -- and that it serves a logical purpose in the product. It is confusing.
Thank u. Wen one goes to buy anti aging creams. There ar so many on the shelves. Even the consultants hav no knowledge abt dark skin. I am thankful that u can giv us such insight into ingredients. I wld like u to review the himalaya products which they say ar natural. Luv frm south Africa.
Thank you for teaching us about the products that are good for our skin....I believe you said you have your own products..I live in Trinidad and Tobago..does it have anyone who sell your products...thank you
I have never been a huge fan of L'oréal product. The only thing that I use is their micellar water. 😅😅😅 I hope they create more product that listen to the demands of their consumer instead of selling expensive yet lack of benefits
I bought many anti-aging products of L’ORÉAL, wanted to try them, the results were I throw all of them away 😂 none of them were working on my skin, really useless. They did a good job on business not on taking care of people’s skin.
Hi mam, your videos are really great they are helping me alot..Can u please please make a video on daily skin care routine for oily & acne prone skin? And one on benefits of using serum and which ones to use?And thanks a tonns your videos are truly informational👍

I am 61 with GREASY ageing skin. I know it should be dry but I still have the greasy T zone that I’ve always had. I shy away from using anti ageing products because they feel too heavy and are too greasy. I wish there was someone like you for skin of no colour just dull, aging & tired skin.
Check out HotandFlashy on RUclips
Thanks so much really appreciate you..💕
I have been using glycolid acid toner for 2 months....and my skin is smooth and it glows
As we age our skin become dry. Have you watched my anti aging video?
Absolutely 🙌❤
Dr. Vanita Rattan The Hyperpigmentation Clinic yes! Can’t wait I’m so curious about your opinion especially for korean sunscreens...apparently their technology in sun protection is ahead of the west.
Yes, I agree. Looking forward to hearing review on cosrx and other k beauty products
I've just decided to get into skincare and am so glad you are making these videos. I've taken your advice and already had good results within weeks. Skin care can be so overwhelming and you make it easy to understand :)
I'm so glad ❤
Thank you so much, the best doctor online, pls try to review olay cream and neutrogena, thak you
Thankyou, I will do this for you ❤
@@vanitarattan yay!
@@vanitarattan iam 33 years old i have no skin care routine. My skin is full of acne . If I apply any cream I got rashes like I have sun burn. I can't apply sunscreen. I realy want to discuss with you can you please give me some advice.
Hi doctor what would you recommend as a eye cream for someone aged between 25 to 30 years old?
yes please dr
I thought we don’t need eye cream in our routine at all? 😮
@@nameisamine I've heard this as well
My name is Aminé we dont need eye cream.. wat we r using on the face we can use around eye.. in case the cream wen applied to orbital eye area causes irritation n swelling of tears then u shd stop using it or use it little further from the waterline
so how we will prevent fine lines under eye area
L'Oréal love throwing denatured alcohol into virtually all their products. I stopped using any of their creams. I started using Paula's Choice. Would love to know what your thoughts are on this brand.
Dokter V, thank you for all your lessons. I am learning so much about my skin and for the first time in my life I feel understood. 🥰
Thankyou 🙏🏼❤
Hi Dr V,
Plase give advise on dark underarm patches and moisturising them to relieve the darkness.
Thank you
I used this product and I have nothing wrong with it and I have sensitive skin and am black and have found nothing wrong with it
I used the bright renewal dual overnight. It did nothing good for me. If anything it caused more problems for my skin. And it’s pricey 😏
I respect your expertise, & glad you've been so honest about the ingredients as these products are so expensive, I nearly spent $AU128 to try 2 products but won't now
timless 20% vit c please it has alchol as last ingredient and they say to keep the product safe from yeast
Great video! Would you kindly review aveeno creams/moisturisers pls for eczema/dry skin. Thank you
Yes I will 🙏🏼❤
Thank you for the insight on the ingredients. My mother uses some of these products. Guess not anymore...thanks.🤗
I have learned so much from watching you. My clean has cleared tremendously. Thank you so very much!!!
Hi thank u for your video on L'Oréal. It was very informative. Honestly speaking I tried their products but whenever I used their creams they always reacted on my skin. Today I know the reason why. Thank you again for the information.
I am samreen from Pakistan.
Thank you .... my entire skin care has changed now
🙏🏼🙌❤
Thank you once again Doc, we are really being robbed 😭please also consider Neutrogena and Clarins 🙏🏽.
I love all your videos and I'm so sorry that you have any negetivity☹️
Thankyou, I will do this for you ❤
@@vanitarattan you're the absolute best DrV. Wish I had you when I was younger.
Special thanks for you English British accent, i am as a foreigner just can't stand American English accent, so again thanks and all the best
I think so....
Hi Dr. Rattan. I love your channel, thank you for kindly sharing all this skincare content for W.O.C. Can u please do a review on Caudalie especially their vinoperfect range...
Loads of love from Belgium
Yes please
L’Oréal is the only brand that work on my skiing it fix my dinners and rosea I guess it digit something that helps and and also looks healthy and tighter
Your lessons have proved so helpful! Please can you do a video on how to treat butt acne/marks. I have tried so many things but nothing works...
Thanks for clueing me in on denatured alcohol. Please review L'Oreal Revitalift Triple Power Anti-Aging Eye Cream. I bought it in Kenya.
Really appreciate all the information u give us - really amazing. So much effort is required for this ... thank you!
Thankyou🙏🏼❤
When you refer to thewhen it comes to ceriva the skin cleaner. That’s basically water in a bottle for 20 plus dollars. Takes only 2hrs to make 10000kgs and is bottled up in 3 hrs
I so enjoy your honest evaluations and your delightful personality xxx
I felt very lucky to found ur channel.. I m using lorial Paris age 20+ cream.. Since it promised to non Comedogenic...
But still m afraid after watching this video... Most of us don't have any knwledge of Ingredients.. Please do a video about Indian brand like plum , Dr Seth and dot and key,
Honestly the best thing about Loreal is its availability and affordability. You can find Loreal products all over the world.
Great information, thank you for sharing. What is the best moisturizer for women over 50 ? Thank you
I am Latina With White skin from New Jersey and even tho you review products for dark skin , I think your are Brilliant with your knowledge and I still watch I wish you could review with both light and dark skin in mind as I love your channel and again your knowledge..
Thanks so much for this video. In terms of the glycolic acid how do you know if you've suffered a burn? I've use products with 5% glycolic and haven't experienced any noticeable issues. I value your opinion and offcourse don't want to be causing any damage below the dermis.
Thank you for the great review . I know Olay and L’Oréal are same company but would you please do a review for some anti aging from Olay also .?
Thankyou, I will do this for you ❤
Thank you ♥️
Thank you doctor for such an in depth review. Can you please post a review on loreal sunscreen as well ,i heard they use some patent technology.
My pleasure, yes I'll do it for you ❤
All lines like LaRoche Posay and Loreal ( these are 2 reviews I have watched), you have only picked fragranced products, when both these lines have plenty of fragrance free stuff. It would make sense to include a few even if you dont think they are best sellers.
Thank you for the information as was just about to purchase these and for the review of The Ordinary products.
Thank you for this information. There are many derms that proport, that if formulated correctly, denature alcohol is not as bad as many make it out to be -- and that it serves a logical purpose in the product. It is confusing.
I love your passion. Brilliant information - thank you.
Thankyou so much for such an insightful video. Can you please do one on the Olay products as well, their micro sculpting cream etc....
Dr V, I love your videos. They've helped me so much.
I know you love Cetraben for MOISTURISER. What do you think of the CeraVe moisturisers?
Use cetraben in the morning after washing face and using cetrave at night after using ur serums etc
Thank u. Wen one goes to buy anti aging creams. There ar so many on the shelves. Even the consultants hav no knowledge abt dark skin. I am thankful that u can giv us such insight into ingredients. I wld like u to review the himalaya products which they say ar natural. Luv frm south Africa.
Thanks a lot Dr for your valuable information 🙏🏻😊I almost wanted to get one of the product here! Thank Goodness I didn’t !
Thank you for teaching us about the products that are good for our skin....I believe you said you have your own products..I live in Trinidad and Tobago..does it have anyone who sell your products...thank you
I love age specialist day cream with spf 20. The best cream from loreal for me. Had at least four of them...
I have never been a huge fan of L'oréal product. The only thing that I use is their micellar water. 😅😅😅
I hope they create more product that listen to the demands of their consumer instead of selling expensive yet lack of benefits
Agreed 🙌
Pls do a video on best toners for skin of color!!
I will do this❤🙏🏼
I quite like pure rose water by KTC ...
I bought many anti-aging products of L’ORÉAL, wanted to try them, the results were I throw all of them away 😂 none of them were working on my skin, really useless. They did a good job on business not on taking care of people’s skin.
Don't take me wrong. I love your content and have learned a lot. Keep making amazing videos
Hi mam, your videos are really great they are helping me alot..Can u please please make a video on daily skin care routine for oily & acne prone skin? And one on benefits of using serum and which ones to use?And thanks a tonns your videos are truly informational👍
