I've walked into model stores with a lot of Gundam models to choose from and yours are by far the most gorgeous to watch and maybe one day to own. Your detail and touch on each model should be the standard when buying a model.
There is no line this guy won’t make.. I’d be so nervous to scribe something fine that close to the edge because “there’s no room to work with” You just go for it, wow!!
I started scribing because of you. I've mastered the .2mm. My lines are consistent and neat and are beginning to look like yours. But I've started integrating use of the .4mm and now I've got to start all over again. XD So much practice required! But it's worth it. By the way, for those watching, scribing takes a looooooong time. Especially when staring at the blank piece of plastic trying to envision lines. Sometimes I end up staring at a piece for an hour trying to come up with something. Thanks RAVI, for being an inspiration.
panel line is requires skill, but it is more difficult to come up with a design. I try sketching parts several times. Until I have a design that I like.
I have seen so many WIP videos for many years now. Your work is amazing, professional and totally the next level. You really motivates us all. Keep up the good work.
how do you come up with these panel lines? are you using other customs for reference or just thinking of them on the spot? i've been wanting to do this myself but a bit afraid of messing up a kit over it
Sorry for asking so much? Is primer painting the parts essential before scribbing? Is it so you can draw the parts with pencil? Is it different if im using 6mm hiqparts guide tape? Im planning to scribb my 1/144 btw..
Not essential. When I sand the parts, I want to check the shrinkage on the surface. There are two types of HIQPARTS guide tape: 3mm and 6mm. I usually use 3mm.
If you built a kit straight out of the box with absolutely no modifications, how long would it take you vs. one you would modify? And what is the clear tape you use to scribe with? Thanks in advance.
How do you decide what lines to add and the customization you do? Do you make a design plan for each piece to go together in the end, of work piece by piece?
Absolutely superb modeling! Where can I get that clear tape you are using as a scribing guide, it is like Dymo label tape? It seems better to work with.
What chisel set are you using and where did you purchase them? What clear tape are you using? What type of putty? I'm just amazed at your skills! Any info would be very appreciated!!!

Your work is absolutely beautiful, so much that it makes me wonder why I’m bothering even building a kit to begin with 😂. I notice that you only use manual hand tools to work on the pieces aside from your airbrush of course, I wonder why it is you don’t tend to use an electric rotary tool? I’m currently working on a Gouf custom from 02 and the pieces fit together like absolute shit even after I clean them up carefully, any advice?
I have a question: which chisels sizes do you own and which do you use the most? I have 0.15 and 0.2 for basic lines, but I'm considering some for the larger notch details. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy them all!
Hello, I really love your work. I wanna start in the Gunpla world, so I have this question: What is or where do you buy the white plastic you're using? Can it be bought at Amazon?
Wow wow wow! The work you did with the magic sculpt is awesome. So clean and perfect. I use Milliput and I cannot use chisel on milliput because it breaks easily! That Magic sculpt instead is perfect. I will buy it for sure! Question! What do you do when the chisels are not sharp anymore? Is there a way to make it sharp again manually?
@@RAVIPLA I'm happy because I have the BMC chisels too. So I know they will last a lot! But I have also a few Wave chisels and one already lost its sharpness!
damn watched a couple of your video's on the sazabi and it's some damn impressive work, i'd attempt it if i weren't so damn twitchy...also i believe the taping before the scribing would drive me utterly insane trying to get things to line up perfectly. also got no kit i'm willing to mangle to attempt it, still want to paint my sinanju in high gloss but afraid i'll mess it up and ruin him. perhaps if they some day bless us with a mg kshatriya i'll experiment on the HG
Hey man, just wanna say your vids have made me started to experiment with custom panel lines and details and your step by step tutorials are incredibly helpful. Where did you get the larger chisels though cause I can't find one specific to plastic models. Are those chisels used for wood?
Hi Ravi, thanks for the great tutorial again! Really fascinating design! But I have a question here. How do you decide when to use 0.15 or 0.2 and 0.4 or 0.5? Because I feel that they only make a small difference visually. Thanks a lot!
Generally, 0.5 is used mainly. However, if the panel area is small, use 0.4. 0.15 and 0.2 don't mean much. mg sazabi is large and usually uses 0.2 but uses 0.15 when the parts are small. Generally, 0.15 is mainly used for 1/100 scale. Thanks.
